We had family room on top floor, really spacious, light and airy with two separate bedrooms one with large bed (very comfortable) and other room with two single beds. We booked our 16 year old a separate room but didn’t really need to as space is more than adequate for his age range for separate space. Bathroom is huge, with even a hallway space with wardrobe and fridge. Plenty of fans in rooms, and air con too on hotter days. The views from this room are amazing and was lovely to go to sleep while watching the sea. Immaculate rooms, very clean with lovely bedding etc. tea, coffee making facilities with non dairy milk as well as dairy which was a great addition. There are a few floors to get to the top but once you get there it’s worth the climb. Great reading material in rooms too. Had an evening meal in the restaurant and this was fantastic with huge portions and staff looked after us really well. Breakfast just a brilliant, and very reasonable price, with lots of options. Great location for visiting Lancaster or the lakes. We had free parking on the side street next to hotel but plenty of space facing building aswell.

Would be great to have a lift but we k is it would be impossible to fit one somewhere due to nature of the way the building is set out.

Friendly welcome. Helpful staff even though really busy (2.30 on a Saturday). Thank you to Ruby and the other girls, so lovely. Fabulous lunch at short notice. Useful info and instructions. Room was spotleess, had a lovely view, bed super comfy, soft sheets and towels, lovely toiletries. Loved the chairs and coffee table. Fab welcome tray with tea, coffee and biscuits. Breakfast the next day was such a wonderful experience. Julia is an absolute gem. Breakfast menu superb. Quality yoghurts. Nice to get a cup and saucer and teapot. Fab scrambled eggs. Lovely ambience with the decor, other guests all really nice. Superb location of course. Amazing value for money. I would definitely stay again and recommend to anyone. Big bonus - a nice place if you are travelling alone.

All of the staff - Anne Jeanette, Laura and Leanna were courteous, helpful and with a sense of humour and a smile. We had dinner and breakfast in the bar bistro - both excellent and good value. Room 1 had kitchen facilities, a comfy bed and sea view. The room was a little tired as Anne Jeanette is in the process of upgrading it. She showed us Room 3 which has been upgraded and was presented in a lovely contemporary style. However we were perfectly happy with room 1 as it was comfy, all amenities, spotlessly clean and the price was very reasonable. The location is great with overnight parking opposite for a small fee. We would highly recommend and we will definitely be returning but for longer next time. Wishing Anne Jeanette and her lovely team all best wishes as they further develop the Crown hotel.

The position of the hotel. There is a small area at the front to sit. Paid for parking across the road, blue badge holders park free. Some limited on street parking also available. Friendliness of the staff, nothing too much trouble for them. Comfortable bed and pillows and everything spotless. We were there when it was hot and it was great that a good quality, low noise fan was provided. Great value for money. We have stayed here several times before and we were here this time as going to a friend's ABBA themed birthday party not far away.

Everything from the moment we walked in the door, Laura was the most enthusiastic, bright , happy and entertaining woman we've met in a hotel in a long time. Meals were excellent, the family room we had on second floor was outstanding. The staff that day were so friendly and the young girl who brought up our G+Ts up to our room including fresh milk for our cuppa next morning was a bright, warm and engaging young woman. We certainly would recommend and return again.

We couldn't get in for a second night.😭

Check in was easy in the bar, we've stayed twice before so knew where the room was but as usual they ask if you need help with your bags. The room (9) is ideal for a family with a private hall leading to a double, a twin and a bathroom. The seating area in the bay window with views of the sea and promenade is fabulous. I needed a doorstop (I should have looked in the drawer), I mentioned it at breakfast and one was there in the hall when we returned to the room.

Nothing to not like. It is as described.

The property was warm & welcoming throughout our stay. Quality large, modern rooms with fabulous views across the bay ( room 3) and some nice extra touches. The owners and all staff were so friendly and work extremely hard at making your stay memorable. Food in the restaurant was quality. Breakfast Lunch & Evening meal top notch and excellent VFM. I would highly recommend a stay here. Ideal location for visiting surrounding areas. We will certainly return in the future for sure..👌

Nothing!..

To be honest I wasn't expecting much other than a quick night stay on our way to the lakes. We found the hotel to be lovely. Right on the beach front next to the Eric Morecambe statue, the location is great. There is parking along the front if you can find space, but we used a car park just behind the hotel. £9 for 24 hours and it had cameras etc, so felt secure. We stayed on the top floor, room 9, the Scarfell view suite. The 2 kids loved watching the sea and mountain views. The binoculars in the room were a great touch. Tea and coffee facilities, nice big tv, really clean and comfy beds. A double in 1 room and 2 sibgles in the other. Big bathroom with bath and shower, loads of towels and body products. Will 100% use again.

There's only 1 complaint I have. The restaurant/bar downstairs is closed on a Monday. We arrived on a sunday and the food being served looked superb. We would have loved a breakfast on the Monday morning!

The hotel was really lovely, excellent location on the Promenade/beach and a 5 min walk from the station. The views over looking the beach were amazing. The room and hotel have modern decor, and the beds were lovely to sleep in. The food was lovely and the staff were really helpful and welcoming. We couldn't have asked for a better stay, will definitely return.

Room was on top floor (3 flights up) and I was travelling with elderly mum. Would definitely have improved stay if there was a lift.
