The standard of the room decor exceeded my expectations and room no.2 to the rear of the property was very peaceful. The bed was very big and very comfortable. Check-in was easy and conducted by very friendly staff.

I was travelling alone, but had I met a local lady and invited her back to view the luxurious lodgings I would not have been able to offer her a tea, since only one tea bag was provided. Similarly, had this theoretical guest overnighted, we would have had to share the solitary towel and she would have had to have been extra vigilant so as not to burn her bum on the furnace-like, single-400-degree-temperature-setting-bathroom-radiator. A night-light movement-sensor would also be handy to help navigate safely from the bed to the bathroom during the night, as even 8% alcohol Zinfandel can lead to nocturnal disorientation.

Some of the reviews for this property really made me giggle. I'm really picky so read on. This is a budget hotel, not a fancy 5 star with extras like shampoo, bottled water, hairdryer, fridge, biscuits, unlimited coffee, etc. We had a really lovely room. It was extremely clean, warm and all new, obviously recently refurbished. You get a kettle with coffee, tea, sugar and milk. TV, ensuite bathroom and towels. We were on the 4th floor. There is a lift to all floors. No bar. No restaurant. It's a room only hotel. The staff were amazing, the accommodation was secure and the location is slap bang in the middle of Lancaster city centre. Spoons is next door for a lovely cheap breakfast every morning and Tesco on the other side. Honestly, if you are sight seeing, on business or just passing through, this hotel is perfect. If you want luxury with added extras in your room, then pay more and stay somewhere else. We will be back. Value for money and we loved it.

They'd forgotten towels and the TV remote was missing but it wasn't a problem, the staff were super efficient and fixed it straight away.

The location is ideal for accessing the city centre via train. It is 10min walk from train station, and close to the shopping, pedestrian quarter. The reception staff were very friendly and polite. The room/ensuite was clean and well prepared, a bit bare and simple, but all you need for one night stay. The bathroom was clean, nice towels and good water pressure/temperature.

The room did not have great views, but I did not spend much time in the room to be bothered by it. There are no facilities in the hotel, there is no food availalbe, but htis is stated in their page, so it wasn't a surprise.

The design of the architecture is modernized- two modern spacious lifts are available; no more need to lift stuff up the scale. Rooms are new, spacious, warm, and just perfect. location is great. Shops, especially those you would frequent need, are next door. Situated in the heart of the city center, you will need a minute of walking. Staff are always smiling and helpful. There is a safety strategy outside. Cards are used for all purposes. This hotel is one of the perfect ones I’ve seen in my entire life.

The hotel contacted me before arrival stating where the two nearest car parks were located along with their postcodes. I found this very helpful information. The staff I met were all extremely friendly and helpful. I forgot my plug for charging my phone and was able to borrow one from reception.

The WiFi wasn’t working and from previous reviews I read it hasn’t worked for quite a while, disappointing. In the night our room 127 got rather hot so we needed to open the window and use the electric fan provided. No air conditioning unit but the bargain price reflected this.

The location was nice; next to a Tesco, close to town centre and not far from trainstation! Only let down was the noise on the street, but not hotels fault, although our window seemed like it wasn't isolated well, some cold air and noise easily came through! But that's like the only minor thing, luckely they provided some earplugs ;-) But clean room, good bed, nice bathroom!Nice

Great location for visiting the city and the bonus for me is that the hotel is dog friendly. Clean comfortable beds and bedding. Warm and cosy, sometimes a bit too warm for me but there was a fan provided in the room which helped.

Unfortunately with the location the downside was that late night drunks presumably coming out of nearby Wetherspoons were very noisy, and as the hotel is near the main road, the sirens were also a bit of a noise disturbance until early hours so I didn't get much sleep.

It was exactly what I was expecting, cheaper accommodation for a short stay. More of a student accommodation. The bathroom was tiny - would suggest to use bleach around the shower :) It was great to see the earplugs provided.

Clean the bathroom with the bleach around the shower and maybe substitute the shower curtain with a cabin. The location makes the hotel quite noisy and the windows are not really sound proof but the hotel provided earplugs :)

A decent hotel, not too far from the train station and ideally located for the town centre. All the standard facilities were provided. The room was ideal for a short stay and a base from which to look around the city. The staff were friendly and efficient. I would stay here again.

The hotel is next door to a pub and close to the main road, so there might be some issues with noise on the lower floors. However, I did not experience any problems while I was there.

It was quiet despite being located next to a Wetherspoon's. We were on the 3rd floor, which helped. Good that you could open windows enough to let in fresh air.

The bed was very comfortable and big, however, the pillows were on the firm side and there were no softer ones to change them for.
