Location is excellent with fantastic views. Breakfast exeded my expectations for the very reasonable price of the overnight stay. The receptionist was really nice and friendly, good welcome and helpful. Would definitely book again if in the area and would recommend, don't be put off by the ultra low price. The location is amazing.

The Clifton offered exceptional value for money. It does have some shortcomings but for value it must be hard to beat. Right from our arrival the staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, the chap serving the very good breakfast was amazing. Location was good as were the views from our seafront facing room.
The Clifton charges budget prices so expectations should be in line with this. The stairs to our second floor room were steep and the walls allowed some noise from nearby noisy neighbours but the room was large and comfortable with tea and coffee making facilities and toiletries in the shower room. It was fine.

Everything was spot on our room was on top floor sea view.it was spectacular.we will definitely be coming back to stay here.and breakfast was superb.breakfast buffet.was well organised.well presented and staff were so nice.
Only thing I will say that let us down is my Mrs is disabled and the lift wasn't working.going upstairs for her wasn't a problem coming downstairs she came down backwards a step at a time.but she does this at home as well.its not a complain or anything like that.its just it would have been more easier for her if lift was working.we cannot fault the hotel in any way we loved our stay there

Wherever I stay my intention is always to explore the area. So when I book a room all I need is to be able to rest, sleep, shower and toilet. I'm not looking for extravagance and all the fancy trimmings. On arrival I found free beach front parking. The guy who checked me in was friendly, helpful and informative. My room was on the top floor and a lift was available if needed. The room itself was clean, comfortable, cool with an opening window. It looked out across the rooftops of many different houses, so no sea view, although some rooms do have seaviews. I had enough sleep and was able to do a self check out and pop my room keys in a box by reception. Breakfast was included in the price however I hit the road before it was available. Overall an all in all good stay.

The hotel was on the beach front, we managed to park right outside, We stayed in a triple room, although it was a bit worn, it was clean, spacious and had everything we needed, in a fantastic location, we had a great nights sleep, a nice shower and all three of had a fantastic breakfast, on arrival we asked if there were vegan options on the breakfast as 2 of us are vegans, they went above and beyond and went out that night and got us vegan sausages, hash browns, cus cus, and oat milk, they were so helpful and couldn’t do enough for us. Free WiFi, smart tv in the bedroom and for 3 of us with breakfast thrown in as well at £81 It was an absolute bargain.
Hotel itself was a little dated but it never bothered us, it was clean, and fantastic value for money

Great location, right on the seafront, with the bonus of free street parking on the road outside of the hotel. About a 10-15 minute stroll along the front to the town centre. We had a seaview room, which was lovely. Furnishings and facilities were typical of a seaside property of this age, with a few quirky features and the usual lack of conveniently placed plug sockets in old properties, but the bed was comfortable and the room was clean. The stairs to the 3rd floor, where our room was, are a bit uneven, but all in all, the room was really good value for the money we paid, especially with it having free parking and a cooked buffet style breakfast included. All the staff members we encountered were lovely, friendly and helpful. All in all, it was ideal for our overnight stay, en route to the Lake District.
Nothing really, it was actually much nicer than I'd expected for the price! Maybe having to boil the kettle on the floor, due to the lack of plug sockets, if I'm being really picky, but it's certainly not the first B&B I've had to do that in!

An amazing location, free, on street parking, a warm welcome from Adele. We chose a sea view room and so glad we did as the view across the bay towards Cumbria rivals any international resort views. Don’t worry if you don’t have a sea view as there’s an extensive seating area at the front with the same amazing views. Treat yourself to a drink and sit outside watching the sunset. The door is locked at night but there’s no curfew and you’re given an external door key for access. There’s a hotel bar, we didn’t use it but the breakfast is well worth staying for and again the guy hosting (I am sorry but didn’t get his name) is very likeable and nothing is too much trouble. I recommend it and wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again for my future visit. Well done to everyone concerned.
I can’t say anything negative. The staff, view, room, food, location and view made for a pleasant stay. We slept very well.

We recently booked two double rooms for a couple of nights to visit family living nearby. The Clifton is a lovely clean hotel with very comfortable beds, the staff are friendly and Amir who was running the breakfast room was fantastic - nothing too much trouble and the second morning he’d remembered that my little girl has food allergies so had breakfast ready for us when we got there! The cooked breakfast was spot on, and there were plenty of options of cereal toast croissants fruit yoghurts - well worth their reasonable rates. Will definitely use the Clifton again for our next visit - thank you guys!

The reception staff on arrival were very friendly. The room was single and had plenty of room. The mattress was new and the room immaculately clean. A small airfresher just inside the door made walking into the room a welcoming smell. The breakfast the following morning was excellent and service good.
Unfortunately there was scaffolding outside the building so not a very welcoming sight on arrival and cut down the natural light in the room. The corridor areas on the way to the room are dated and not very bright, so I was a bit apprehensive on the way to my room, no need to have been as room was fab.
