Very convenient location in the village of Battle. Within walking distance of everything. Not far (~5 minute walk) from municipal paid parking lot. Parking costs ~£1.50/hour. There is a free overrflow grass parking area adjacent to the paid lot, but the locals fill that lot by 7:00 a.m. according to the bar tender. Room was comfortable, very well decorated, and clean. Having a bar and restaurant downstairs was very convenient too. I thought the food was very good and the portion sizes were good. I felt the prices for food, beer and wine were reasonable. I would stay here again and would reccomend it to friends.

The rooms are above the bar and, even though they have installed a sound-islolating glass partition at the top of the stairs, one can still hear the dull noise of the bar downstairs. I slept with earplugs and couldn't hear any noise. The bar closes at 11:15 and quiets down by 11:30. Overall, it was not an issue.

Perfect location smack in the centre of Battle. Staff excellent, a great friendly pub. Room was spotless and good size. Lots of hangers in the wardrobe ( which is rare) and extra tea, coffee, water and toiletries available outside the room. Don't listen about comments relating to noise in the pub below...it's a pub !!! and once closed we got a perfect night's sleep. Pillows were the best !! This establishment reminded us of just how great pub's used to be. Highly recommended and we will be back 100%.

Don't let the approach to the room put you off! The doors to the rooms from the stairs look like you're entering a prison cell! A bit of lighter coloured paint would cheer it up no end! The actual rooms themselves are lovely inside! ... warning they don't do breakfast every day of the week but there are plenty of places in Battle to grab some breakfast

Nice pub with good food, friendly, helpful staff, convenient to the shops, nice cafes, big bathroom and a clean room.

Maybe a separate entrance area to the accommodation, u don’t have to keep walking through the Bar area. Then there is no car park, have to go looking for a car park and keep paying for it, I see there is a back area, maybe providing free parking for guests would add to the appeal in staying at the accommodation.

Staff were really helpful and room was very nice. Restaurant was pleasant and food good. Battle is a beautiful town.

Traffic noise constant all night long. Juggernauts literally shake the building all night long. A fan would have been nice so we could close the windows.

We enjoyed our stay at The Bull very much. All aspects, from the friendly staff to the excellent food and prime location in lovely Battle High Street, exceeded our expectations.

We would have liked to stay longer, but that's on us. The Bull is an excellent place to stay to take in historical sights, have lovely walks and visit with nearby relatives.

Staff very welcoming and friendly .Pub had a lovely atmostphere proper traditional pub lovely ! Rooms were lovely and clean beds were super comfy and although my room overlooked high street could hardly hear the traffic which was good . I was lucky had a free upgrade to family room it was huge ! even the bathroom was big and really clean .I would highly recommend a stay here it was a truly lovely experience thank you to all staff and management much appreciated 😊.

The only thing I would say was the slight step into bathroom could do with being made a bit clearer maybe but then I am prone to tripping !

Quick.unfussy check in, simple comfy rooms, great location and great staff.

Nothing not to like BUT this is not a place for those who can't compute that the rooms are a lively pub. It's noisy til c. 1130 then silent after midnight.

Friendly staff especially Lola. Room overlooking the High Street was spacious and the bed very comfy. Food was good in a relaxed room at the back. It mixes a friendly pub, good accomodation and food.

You have to park a short walk away.

was not expecting to find such a cute room, with a very classic pub decor. It was extremely clean and cozy to stay. After the pub closed it was very quiet and had a good night sleep. I would highly recommend this Inn, it was on the main street of battle and it gave me such rustic english country side vibes!!

Maybe would be useful to have a light over the mirror, as the bathroom light was not super bright. Other than this I cannot think of much else
