Location, fab restaurant menu, really friendly staff, well stocked bar . Comfortable seating and a lovely atmosphere .

Rooms a little dated, bathroom door being glass and gaps between door and wall not very private . Not enough milk and no complimentary water bottles

Our double bed room in the annex building next door to the main hotel was spacious and airy with a smoothly working sash window which overlooked the high street. The bathroom was again spacious with a lovely walk in shower. The breakfast was excellent with a varied choice of hot and cold servings. The kitchen staff were young and enthusiastic and completed their work professionally and with a smile. The bar area was comfortable with a wide range of drinks and also served tea and coffee where you could drink inside or outside on the veranda which was positioned alongside the high street.

To park your car at the hotel cost £6 for 24 hours which is acceptable for safe parking, however, you had to renew your parking from 8am. Surely when staying at the hotel a 2 hour grace period until 10am should be allowed to allow for a lie in.

Service was excellent,the reception staff ware very helpful and all the cleaners who were under a lot of pressure due to staffing levels to get the rooms ready were great and probably get overlooked too often, the food also was excellent both our evening meal and our breakfast were lovely , we will definitely be staying there again.

We were in the area to attend the races and this hotel was in a perfect location. We were able to drop our bags with the very friendly staff who then helped us to call a taxi to the races. On our return our bags had been taken to our rooms which were a little basic but very spacious and spotlessly clean. We didn’t eat at the hotel as it wasn’t clear when or how the breakfast was served and we were keen to get back home. The area around the hotel has some lovely little pubs and restaurants and we highly recommend the Italian which is on the same row.

There was nothing bad to say

The room was clean and tidy and plenty of space. Reception were very helpful and the breakfast was very good. Facilities in the hotel are very good and the hotel is well located for travel.

Paying for parking having paid a lot for the room was hard to swallow. Some of the fittings in the bedroom are tired and could do with replacing but it did not affect the stay.

The hotel was fantastic, we were upgraded to and executive room and a bottle of Prosecco was awaiting us in the room which was a lovely surprise. We never heard any noise from other rooms which is very rare when you stay in hotels. The room was lovely and spacious, clean and modern. We enjoyed food in the restaurant and cocktails. The location is spot on and we have loved our stay this weekend. Would definitely come again.

The room was red hot when we arrived but left windows open whilst we were out to cool down. The pillows were quite firm and not to our preference. Expected for the price there would be some toiletries but nothing.

Old building so layout is different with little steps here and there, but adds to property. Clean welcoming public areas and nice outside seating for very nice October weather.

The updated glass bathroom doors not in keeping and do not keep bathroom smells in bathroom. Hot Breakfast was not the best, bacon dryer out, sausage bland and tasteless. Raw inside poached egg.

We used the hotel for a family get together of around 12 persons. Rooms were great. Breakfast was excellent.

Parking was a problem. The payment machines didn't work properly, and many people were struggling to park and pay. A number of us have received parking penalties. This is very annoying.

Rooms were very clean and spacious, the food at the wedding was exceptional! The staff were very friendly and went above and beyond to assist, especially when we had to move our car as the public carpark at the front only let us stay for 6 or 8 hours and then we had to move

I was disappointed with the breakfast, we were a table of 8 or 9, although we ordered in pairs, my partner had her breakfast and finished it, i asked where mine was and then a member of the staff came over and said they had forgotten my order and could i order again, i think it was about an hour from sitting to eating and on arrival it was undercooked and inedible.
