This is an exceptional hotel. Breakfast choice is wonderful, dinner very good. Staff are so friendly nothing is too much trouble. The building is dated 1938 and the ground floor has been lovingly recreated to reflect Art Deco at its highest level. The hotel is situated in a leafy suburb of Doncaster, There is a car park for which no charge is made and you are 5/10 minutes walk from the Doncaster Museum,

The city of Doncaster may not be everyone's ideal location but if you are going to stay here this is the hotel to stay in

Choice of air conditioning on a very hot couple of days. Staff very friendly and helpful. Bed comfortable. No noise from corridor/other guests. Easy walk into shopping area.

Got my daily paper muddled on 2 days. Would have liked slightly more choice of evening menu - but what I ate was very nice. Prefer shower where the head can be lowered. Would like bath mat without having to ask as the bath was VERY slippery. Would like to have extra long hanging area to be able to hang my long evening dress.

We had a dog-friendly room which was spacious and met our needs exactly. We attended their Pride event, the hotel is only a couple of minutes walk from the main stage area. The room was spotless and well decorated, it had both a shower cubicle and a bath. The air-conditioning was quick and effective, the breakfast menu offered a wide selection to cater for all diets. We will happily stay here again.

Other hotels we have stayed in have given us a simple doggy goody bag containing treats and a toy, and use of a towel, and food/water bowls. The Earl didn't so we had to pop back to the car, it wasn't an issue but it's a thoughtful touch that is offered by others.

Stunning decor, delicious food (beautifully cooked & presented) and close to the town centre. Bedrooms were very comfortable and it was a pleasure to be in a room decorated/furnished with a bit of pizazz! Very friendly staff. Everywhere was very clean.

Our room’s bathroom was dated but clean-the two rooms occupied by our friends had lovely new looking shower rooms that were very spacious (luck of the drawer!).

Always enjoy the hotel it's a great location.

The restaurant has seriously gone off. I had garlic mushrooms I was enjoying them they were lovely then the other side of the dish I got a mushroom that was icy cold! I asked for medium rare steak and it was well done. The Diane sauce was solid and would not pour out the little jug. Other people were leaving their food I noticed. The lady across from.my table had barely touched her salmon. There seemed to be a lot of new staff who were not as friendly.

Very conveniently located to visit Doncaster racecourse and Yorkshire Wildlife Park. From the moment we stepped foot in the hotel to check in the staff were so friendly. The room was ready 1.5 hours before check in and I was offered a walk in shower room as I was on crutches. I declined but it was lovely to be offered. Very quirky decor, lovely atmosphere and an amazing breakfast where again the staff went above and beyond with their customer service. We will definitely be back.

I chose this hotel because of it's difference to other generic hotels, it was even more beautiful than I imagined fantastic staff who will do anything to help out . We were late to breakfast and Diane the receptionist went out of her way to get us some bacon sandwiches and coffee, the rooms are all different and unique absolutely loved it .

Truly fabulous hotel, with amazing staff. A great experience. I would wholeheartedly recommend a stay there if you are visiting the area. Don't forget your velvet smoking jacket and Dickey bow tie!

The only very small thing that was negative, was the cooked breakfast, where some of the ingredients had been on the warmer for a bit too long. Don't let that put you off though, as I might have just been unlucky.

ambience of the hotel room, breakfast and bed excellent. It is a shame that the restaurant was not promoted better on outside of the hotel or inside especially sunday lunches this needs to be greatly improved

unfortunately the bathroom was not up to standard, I think a safety issue. The shower you could not open if you tried it hit the sink and also the bathroom handle stopped the screen opening. It was poorly built and equipped. I having had a knee replacement and another poorly knee i had difficulty getting in the bath I had to hold onto the two handles within the bath I could not get out so my husband helped me. Bath towels were wet in the morning because only had a rail to dry them needed a heated rail.. No shelf to put your things

The room was exceptional! It was clean and the bathroom was stunning. The food was amazing it's the best steak and belly pork I've ever eaten, a bit pricey but definitely worth every penny.

Hard to dislike anything here it's got the wow factor, only small thing was bed was a bit to hard but hey everything else was amazing.
