I stayed here 5 years ago and back then it was just a norm hotel, however after this time I can say it's come leaps and bounds. The staff were very attentive to my needs I have a number of disabilities and I can't say I struggled once, the only time I did and by my own doing was coming in the front steps but that aside the entrance wow it's clean and inviting and your welcomed by warmly staff who care for your every need. They ensured I had that extra pillow and shower chair! The only downside of any was lack of choice for lunch menu it's the same for lunch as it is for evening meals and not loads of choice however what I did have was good value for money and very tasty and if the restaurant isn't what your after there is easily 15 take aways to your left right front and back :-) I would definitely come here again can't wait for May's visit! The staff were lovely, breakfast was very good and our bed was clean and comfortable. We stayed for two nights but had to swop rooms our fault as we booked another night. We had an inner facing room for the first night and this was very quiet with no outside noise. Location is good for the station. Bathrooms are nice and clean.

On our second night we had a room that faced onto the street which was noisy but this is not the hotels fault as the hotel is in located in very busy area close to bars. Homeless asking for money, curtains is room we stayed in for second night were very stained but the bathroom and bed very clean.

Fantastic staff couldn't do enough for you. Went above & beyond! Will definitely stay here again!

Finishing touches needed doing. Small things like sealent/filler around door frame, bathroom tap that was very stiff & soaked us on couple of occasions & touching up paintwork where cleaning trolleys have scrapped against wall... One very needed suggestion would be a small step (with tall handrest for support) for us Shorter /Dissabled/ Older person , to be able to get on the beds! My 79 Yr old mother couldn't, but the staff was very helpful finding a wooden box for her to use. Also to be able to get in/out of the bath/shower! But overall, a lovely stay!

Great location Ebony was superb on reception made sure we had a quiet room as the rooms can be very loud due to being on Main Street

Had a normal room would have liked a fridge in to store cold drink and we like fresh milk room could really do with better windows as we like the location on the front but unless your totally def you’ve no chance of sleeping with noise especially on a weekend

Central location, walking distance from many amenities. Lovely, original old building dates back to 1809 but room looked recently refurbished - very comfy bed and lovely shower. Plenty of plug sockets close to the bed (2 each side). Excellent value (I stayed on a week night). Friendly staff.

Busy high street bars quite noisy at night but hotel thoughtfully provided ear plugs to mute the "sounds of the city". Alternatively, I could have closed the windows (warm night, no a/a but I prefer windows that open) and used the fan provided. I slept really well regardless.

The breakfast was very good and the staff were really friendly and helpful. The hotel is very nice, the location is central. For the first night we stayed in an inner facing room and it was really quiet. The size of the room was good and the bathrooms were really clean. Could not fault the lovely staff!

We got a bit confused with where to park but sorted it in the end. The last night of our two night stay was in a room facing directly onto a street in the centre of the town and it was noisy but we had a spacious room so did not really mind.

The staff!!! I lost my jacket out of the boot of the car and phoned the hotel to see if they had fallen outside the hotel. They went as far as checking the CCTV. I read other reviews before going and thought it might be a bad experience....But the staff were polite and welcoming, the bed was comfortable, the room was clean and spacious and the shower was hot. I wouldn't have a problem staying or recommending it to others

The nightclub across the road was noisy but their were earplugs provided by the hotel free of charge and it wasn't that bad.

I've stayed here a couple of times and have always had a pleasant stay. The staff are very friendly, welcoming and helpful. My room was clean, comfortable, surprisingly spacious and fantastic value for money. The hotel is situated in a great location that makes it easier to access the local shops, bars and restaurants. I would highly recommend staying here and look forward to staying here again in the future.

Unfortunately there is no parking, however it's approximately 10 minutes walk from the train station and there is a car park 5 minutes away from the hotel with safe parking.

Staff were very pleasant and helpful. Good central location and a five minute walk to Cast where I was attending a show.

The TV wasn't working in the room but a member of staff soon rectified it. There could have been a wider selection of food for breakfast, but I was the only person at breakfast so I assumed this was the reason.

Very central location. Very friendly reception team. Room was a good size with a good sized bathroom. Breakfast was good. Nice big bed which was very comfortable. The room was extremely good value for the price we paid. If I went to Doncaster again I would definitely stay there.

Our door didn't lock properly, but we were given an upgrade to a bigger room, which was great. No black pudding with breakfast, which was on the online menu. That was disappointing. The bathroom didn't get warm enough to be really comfortable having a shower. It was a very cold night though.
