Beautiful location and very impressive entrance and dining rooms. Staff very professional and friendly. Room very clean.

Breakfast was a little disappointing on our first morning. The Avo and poached egg arrived on one rather sad piece of toast. Definitely no frills. And toasting bread available was actually mouldy. I did point this out to the waitress and she dealt with it immediately. However other family had booked for the second night of our stay and they had a completely different experience. The full English was apparently superb.

Staff very friendly - the breakfast was tasty and there were enough options to choose from. The room was pleasant and clean.

The noise outside the room in the morning was annoying. There were some workmen building something in the grounds and they had their van radio on when we were trying to have a lie-in on both days! Breakfast was only available between 7am-9am - then the next food available was from 12 noon. Perhaps consider extending the breakfast times or offering a bar menu earlier for the late risers!

We attended a wedding at Owston Hall which was a fantastic set up and the whole event flowed very well. Beautiful grounds, plenty of space and different areas for sitting, dancing, chatting, eating and drinking. Breakfast was very well presented and its a very pleasant dining area.

Not a fault, we appreciate this is an old building but aircon in the room would have been great. A decent fan was provided, already in the room - we didn't have to ask for it, and it did give some respite from the heat

Great sized executive bedroom, bed, and bathroom. Views over golf course and park. Good choice of food at dinner, although our salmon and king prawn cocktail with pressed cucumber was actually smoked salmon with king prawn and salad- no sign of pressed cucumber either!

Problem with electricity cutting out so we got stuck in lift on one occasion and fan in bedroom came on and off all night! We needed the fan as one of the hottest nights of the year. There is no air con in the bedroom we had.

Lovely country hotel outside Doncaster centre, beautiful spacious room and lovely views across the gardens and golf course. Breakfast was cooked to order in the morning with buffet style cereal, toast, and pastries - very tasty 😋! Staff were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble.. We will be back in the future and look forward to trying the spa facilities which we're current closed for renovation.

Keypad entry to the gates at the bottom of the long drive to the hotel which sadly didn't seem to be working however this was reported during our stay. Poor external lighting along the drive to hotel and particularly near the sign directing people towards reception which was at the front of the building near a large tree. Car park area and grassland could have been tidier to the side of the building as it gives the wrong impression to an otherwise lovely hotel/wedding venue.

The room was right at the back of the hotel and was really, really quiet, which was just what we wanted as there was a wedding going on at the front with all the associated noise and disturbance. The bed was very comfortable, and the room was spacious with a large bathroom and all the usual facilities were available. The staff member we interacted with was extremely helpful and attentive. The building is lovely and the extensive grounds a joy to walk or drive through.

The room was so big that the picture on the wall-mounted TV set on the end wall was a bit small for comfortable viewing from the bed!

Room was amazing even the cleaner was so helpful and friendly, she informed us of good places close bye to visit. Which we did. The bar and restaurant staff were very pleasant and made our evenings feel special, especially Toon. The breakfast was very good, with a good choice of food including a full English and continental. We had an evening meal which was also good, the fish is huge. It's a little expensive for some dishes although before five you can get these cheaper. The grounds are kept lovely and used as a golf course. Great place to visit and hope to return with friends soon when the pool reopens. Hats off to all the staff.

Excellent staff and really pleasant rooms and surroundings.

The vegetarian options at dinner (main courses) were not good. Frankly to be charged over £20 for pasta peppers and a tomato sauce felt ridiculous. The dish was described as pulled wild mushroom ragu but looked more like a student pasta dinner. On top of that, at least 4 wines (by the glass) that I tried to order were off the menu. There were only 3 of around 10 whites advertised available, none of which were palatable. Despite this, we had a very enjoyable meal (through starters and desserts and my daughter's main dish was excellent - the cottage pie), and the restaurant bar area were really nice. In short, fab unless you're vegetarian.

I reported quite a serious problem, regarding keys to both receptionists, who informed me it would be reported to management. I have no doubt that they would have done so. The second receptionist apologised again when I left (it wasn't her fault) and said someone would be in touch. I am disappointed that so far I have heard nothing!!

The building is beautiful and in keeping with it's period. Staff were very pleasant and polite. Food was scrumptious. Bedrooms were huge and lovely bathroom with everything you need. All areas were clean but glass on doors and windows could to be monitored a little more

Staff we're all in all great, however on arrival i struggled through a heavy glass door with luggage and my Husband with a stick while the member of staff just stood and watched while they waited for us. Maybe a little more attention to wiping the lounge tables down once cleared. Other than that it was top notch.
