The family that runs the Astor were exceptional. Yes it is simple and for the price you can't expect anymore than a place to rest your head, but we did not expect the highest level of customer service and welcome we got. We broke down on a long car journey and picked something cheap to get a sleep. But Claire and her family were amazing. By the time I left, I felt like I was part of the family. She even messaged me to check I got home safely. The level of hospitality has blown my mind. Thank you so much for everything you did to help and support us during a stressful time. If I'm ever back in Blackpool I'll be back to say hello :)

I recently stayed at this hotel and was genuinely impressed with the experience. The rooms were exceptionally clean and well-maintained, far exceeding my expectations. The bed was incredibly comfortable. The staffs did a great job throughout my stay, very helpful and receptive . Everything felt very hygienic and well-cared for. The location is also a huge plus — centrally located and close to great restaurants, public transport, and local attractions. It made getting around super convenient will definitely stay again

Everything was spot on, room was lovely and comfortable, plenty space for us... although there was previous damage by other guests, which claire could not apologise about enough, it made no difference to our stay or our opinions on the room!! Claire was a fantastic host. She made us feel so welcome and our girls loved their stay at the Astor. My daughters are 6 and 3 and really enjoyed their stay and chatted confidently to Claire who showed them nothing but love! We truly loved our holiday with you! There's nothing negative I could say about our stay. Completely refreshing to have met someone so lovely and welcoming as I know this is not always the case in other guest houses! Will 100% return in the future. Even though we knew in advance there was no breakfast or bar facilities at the Astor this was no issue for us and we were made welcome at the bar next door and given facilities to make hot drinks and store cold drinks within the room. 10/10 review from us! 🥰

The area is good. It's 5-8 minutes down the road from blackpool north Station and Sainsbury's and 3 minutes from beach and 15 minutes from tower and main sea front. The man who runs the place was very nice and asked how are day was every day and asked if we needed anything and if we did he would bring it to us within 10 to 15 minutes. Do not expect service like Travelodge and so on where they clean your room every day.

The hotel is a bit run down in parts but it's a cheap holiday getaway

The room was lovely and clean, the hosts left us a few gifts as it was our 19th wedding anniversary, a really nice gesture ,there was a fridge in our room ,and a fan ,tea and coffee making facilitiesand own bathroom ,,very friendly, the hotel is out if the way of the hustle so quiet ,but not to far away to walk to beach and town it's about a 5min walk ,there is also a lift in the hotel which is great if you can't manage the stairs ,will definitely go bk ,we paid £54 for sun to tues don't be put off by how cheap it is its definitely worth it .

We didn't stay longer

As I have health issues aswell which I don't like telling people cause of getting embarrassed Clare was so understanding and very health and told me never to be embarrassed about it as she is there to make my stay as comfortable and happy as possible. Just what we needed for Price, good location to our desired attractions. Perfect for one nights stay. Lady was lovely who checked us in. Little one had her own bed, she loved it. On a whole it was very clean, which is a biggy for myself. Good amount of space it did not feel cramped at all and we booked the budget room for 3.

We only stayed one night, the electric appeared to have cut out; bedroom light worked, but after about 11pm bathroom light and all plugs would not work.

The host was very kind and always made sure we was ok. He also stored my babies pram so I didn't have to fit it in the room. It was very warm and the beds are extremely comfortable. The area feels very safe and not full of drunks so it's perfect for a family 🙂

Only thing that I found an issue was the TV signal and the hum of the refrigerator but all in all I don't really have a genuine complaint.

The breakfast was not available, the room was good and the bed was very comfortable. I was told I could order breakfast but, no-one was about to ask

Cant fault the room or the bed, the staff could have been just a little more cooperative.I
