Rooms were very comfortable and large. I had breakfast and dinner in the restaurant and both were lovely with good size portions. The staff in the restaurant were very friendly and helpful. The gardens are lovely to walk around and there is plenty of parking.

Just 2 things. I had to check out the night before as I was leaving at 7.00am the next day to catch my flight. This was too early for breakfast which I think is unusual? It was a Saturday and breakfast did not start before 8.30. In previous hotels there has been an option available to have a packed breakfast to take with you instead. something that you might consider? Also the blinds in the room are quite light and I find it difficult to sleep unless it's very dark, therefore I didn't sleep much. However, that's a personal thing, and it was very quiet in my room so if you don't mind the light you will get a good nights sleep.

I loved everything about my stay in Millbrook Lodge. The staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming, and the atmosphere generally was pleasant and informal. My room was large and very comfortable. I will certainly stay again whenever I'm in the area. The hotel has the added attraction of being just down the road from Montalto Gardens where I spent a couple of very pleasant hours - really beautiful. There is also a shop and a very nice cafe, well worth a visit.

Millbrook Lodge is a very attractive well maintained building.

I have Parkinson’s and found the distance from Reception to room too far with too many heavy manual doors to negotiate particularly with luggage. Also no separate bar to sit in when not wanting to eat. Due to my disability I was unable to enjoy gardens as the hill was too steep and I didn’t see this information on any advertising . The attractive gardens are advertised for walking and enjoying but no warning about a steep incline to negotiate when returning to hotel. Sunday evening meal disappointing as food was very dry and seemed to be leftovers from Sunday lunch reheated .

Hotel is set in beautiful surroundings. It is a warm, welcoming hotel with lovely character. The rooms are spotless, comfortable and a great size. The staff were exceptional, so friendly. Breakfast was great and room service even better. Would highly recommend this hotel, would definitely visit again.

Service was second to none. The grounds are absolutely stunning and the room was spacious and comfortable. Food was delicious.

The shower temperature was a bit temperamental and the heating would reduce itself at night which isn’t great for people who get cold at night and it took me a while to figure out setting the shower temperature.

Location, surroundings and staff all excellent. When booking I was asked had we stayed before and I said we got married there in 1991. On the day we arrived we were greeted with proseco and strawberries in our room. Lovely touch. Not many hotels would do that. Milbrook was first class in 1991 and first class 33 years later. Highly recommend.

We have stayed in the Millbrook Lodge on several occasions over the years and love it there. The hotel rooms are spacious and have lovely pieces of furniture. The staff are so welcoming and always remember us which is nice. The food is amazing and great portions. I would recommend it for a nice quiet get away.

We stayed in room 17, our only fault with this room was it must be above the kitchen area so we were awoke very early from the noise of an extractor fan. Apart from this everything was great!

Very comfortable bed, very friendly welcoming receptionist , great shower .

8.30am-10am breakfast and 11am check out is very early on a Sunday morning post a wedding the night before . Breakfast was ok but could have been better . The instant in room coffee was better than the breakfast coffee. Juices could also be improved.

All the meals are very good. Meals are served in the bar which is very comfortable and looks out over the grounds. All the staff in the hotel are friendly, helpful and smiling. Our room was maybe a little smaller then we would normally expect but it was very comfortable. The room was beautifully clean and nicely located in the hotel.

There was nothing we could say we didn't like.
