Mattresses were incredibly comfortable, the front desk staff was very friendly, there were a few security guards present on the weekend, it was in walking distance of St. George’s market, the river walk and city Center.

The ticket system with the parking lot was confusing and had us continuously getting new tickets and turning tickets in. Seems like they could’ve given the guest one pass for the whole stay. We had take-out one night, asked to sit at the table in the lobby, but we’re denied that. I know they were trying to maintain their upscale atmosphere, but it seems like there could be a way to allow that and not let that get out of hand.

The renovation is really beautiful. Everything is extremely spacious in the public areas. The reception and breakfast staff were all absolutely lovely to deal with. The rooms are huge, and really stunning. Beds are super comfortable. Television high-tech. Shower is rainfall and super. Toiletries were by antipodes. Wonderful stay.

There was a silverfish in the bathroom, which we reported, so there may be a leak or similar but it was just a small issue. I would really love to see them clean up the stagnant pond and get the water feature working, the green pond really spoils the view.

Comfy bed, staff were super helpful and booked a taxi tour for us. Central Belfast is small but the location was an easy walk to the centre. Room was clean and nicely decorated. Bar staff were also friendly and nice, and the bar area is a lovely place to hang out. Would stay here again.

Only small things, bathrooms look like they need redoing, flush was close to breaking and door stopper was placed in a dangerous place next to the bath, I worry someone would step on it and hurt themselves. Over bath shower rather than walk-in, with missing shower knob. In our double-double one bed was actually two twin beds together, meaning you can't sleep in the middle.

From check in the staff were wonderful! Made such a fuss of our child, little voucher for cookies and milk, activity pack and talking to him by his name made him feel super important. Nothing was too much, for all the staff, so warm and friendly. Room was super clean, comfy, and lovely view. We hadn’t booked breakfast but my child woke up early so to give my other half a lie in we went down for hot chocolate, they brought that and hot coffee for me and little pastries. Again that lovely lady was like all the other staff so warm and welcoming! We loved it! We have stayed in some fancy 5 star hotels all over the world but the staff here make the stay better than any other. Genuine warmth

No fridge in the room

Good room size and breakfast. I appreciated the environmental discount for the bar or restaurant when a room was not cleaned each day. Although it was located a little outside the city centre, it was still walkable. I was able to print a document at reception which was helpful.

I requested an email invoice on checkout but this never arrived. It was lovely having live music on Friday evening, but the recorded music in the restaurant area was left on so they clashed. The lighting in the bedroom was a little low for when I wanted to work at the desk, which was hard on the eyes.

Room was nice, breakfast and evening meal were lovely - Dagmar in the restaurant gave us amazing, friendly table service. Location was ideal, a quiet spot but still close to the city, and with a nice water feature in the grounds. Convenient parking was great as we had hired a large vehicle for our family. Lovely to sit and have a relaxing drink in the bar, looking out at the water. I would definitely return here - we all enjoyed our stay.

I think the hotel was having an issue with hot water the last day we were there as the shower was very cool despite running it for ages, but that was just unlucky I think. there were no issues on other days. If I had to be very picky I would add some grilled tomatoes to the breakfast - but perhaps that is not traditional for a full Irish? It was delicious anyway.

The room was a nice size and nicely decorated and well appointed, only missing a fridge. There was a kettle and nice coffee and tea. The bed was very comfortable and the room a good temperature. You can open the window slightly for ventilation if preferred. The hotel was nicely decorated and well kept. I was surprised at how lovely and quiet it was in the bedroom- very peaceful. It is in a good location. A short walk from town and George’s market is nearby and well worth a visit. The hotel is right next to the river so great for a morning run along the path, or a nice walk.

No gym, no fridge in room

We had a very comfortable week at VOCO Belfast. The room was large, comfortable, sound proofed, well decorated and well furnished. We had a superb view of the city. The breakfast was delicious with lots of choice. The location was excellent for getting in and out of the city to the coast and for walking into the city. The food in the restaurant in the evening was excellent- we had the midweek taste of Ulster menu and it was all delicious and good value. The staff in all areas of the hotel were extremely friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay again!

The room was lovely large and well set out.

The staff on arrival were not very happy, the youg gentleman serving us was sufficient but no great warmth and as for the other desk attendedant she did not even look up.from her computer and was serving no.guests even thrn did not look up to even acknowledge us In saying that the girl when checking out was accommodating enthusiastic and helpful...the two the day prior could take a leaf out of her book

The Voco is a great hotel in a very central location so ideal for walking into the city centre, the room were clean, spacious & well catered

We were given an adjoining room & the guests next door were exceptionally loud. We had to ring down to reception at 11.30pm & again at 11.55pm for them to tell the guests next door to turn down their television. They might as well have been in the same room as us!! So my suggestion is unless you are sharing with your own family do not accept an adjoining room as you never know who you get next door!!!
