The hotel is ideally located—just a five-minute walk from everything you could need. The food was excellent throughout our stay, but what truly set this visit apart was the after service experience Special recognition must go to General Manager Pamela O'Brien. She handled a tricky situation with genuine care and professionalism, going far beyond what we expected. Her sincere approach, attentive listening, and personal commitment made it feel more like a boutique experience than part of a large hotel group. It's rare to encounter such standout leadership in hospitality, and she’s someone any hotel would be lucky to have at the helm. This visit was part of a family gathering. While I’d usually perspnally opt for hotels like The Grand Central or The Fitzwilliam, I left this stay genuinely impressed—and will stay again for an upcoming conference in October. As someone who stays frequently with the Dalata group—including the Clayton in Chiswick last month and an upcoming stay in Ballsbridge in 2 week—I can confidently say this hotel exceeded expectations. Thank you for leaving me with such apositive experience.

Some staff need better training however I understand this is affecting the hospitality trade across the board Plus it's such a transient industry

Great location, central to everything for a city break. We didn't have breakfast so can't comment on that. We requested a quiet room at a higher level and that's exactly what we got. It was perfect, we could still hear some noise at night (Friday & Saturday) but that was becase we decided to open the windows rather than use the aircon. It's a very lively area with lots of bars around so some noise is to be expected. Sunday night was a lot quieter. Hotel staff very helpful and friendly. Would recommend this hotel and would definitely stay here again.

Pillows are a little hard. A minor point but the constant emails from hotel advising me of the "online" check in facility in the run up to our visit and then on the day of departure again a couple of emails advising of the "Check out online" facility. Not everyone embraces cyber world and some people still like to engage with real people. It's a personal thing and one email each side of the visit would sufice.

Location is great and most things to do are within walking distance. The staff are excellent. John, Sinead, Connor, Jayden are top people.

We were initially promised floor 12 with city views. Each time we approached check-in the staff conferred whilst looking at the screen, telling us our room wasn’t ready. At 3.30pm we were told that we were being put on floor 4. We noticed a lot of airline crew checking in and saw them on the high floors. We think the high floors are kept for these guests. Small marks on single bed cover appeared to be blood. What appeared to be blood marks on the curtains too in room 420. The bathroom door was damaged and the sink took ages to drain. Our first visit last year was on point with everything.

Location was fabulous, everything very walkable from there. Room was a nice size for three adults and very clean. Beds were nice and comfortable. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The cocktail tree we ordered was lovely and the Birthday card, ballooon and chocolates were a lovely surprise for our Birthday girl.

The aircon was a little hit and miss and it did keep going off in the night so as three women of a certain age, we all woke up every night at some point. We didn't complain about it, we probably should have in hindsight but with limited time in the city we just got on with it.

I recently stayed at the Maldron Hotel Belfast City for 2 nights, and it was a great experience. The hotel's modern design and comfortable rooms made for a relaxing stay. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the location was convenient for exploring the city. One thing that stood out was the efficient self-serve check-in process, which made arriving and getting settled in quick and easy. I also appreciated the add-ons I booked in advance, particularly the party package, which added a fun touch to our stay. Breakfast was delicious and the staff at breakfast and throughout the hotel were very friendly and welcoming. I would recommend the Maldron Hotel Belfast City to anyone looking for a comfortable and convenient stay in Belfast.

Friendly staff, conner is an absolute GEM!!! He's phonomenal and even helped me pick my concert outfit and told me how nice it looked when I came down (""Hey, conner, pink or black?" "ERRRRR, Pink?" "Ok, pink dress it is!") Breakfast was lovely, felt genuinely safe and secure. If the maldron read this, your night bar man, he went on leave to Donegal on 23/05/25, GIVE HIM THE BIGGEST RAISE YOU CAN. Not even joking, we were being pestered by a guy who'd had more than was good for him and the guy cut him off at the bar and kept us near him until out squiffy friend headed to the bathrooms, then said "Ok, you're safe now girls, off you go!" Do you realise how important that is to a lone woman? He might have saved a life that night! THAT is service!

going home :( The fact the week after was Conner's holiday and it rained all week :( having to say goodbye :( we didn't like that at all

Good location, not far from grand central station where we arrived on the bus from Belfast City airport, and central for the town and some good (but busy) bars and restaurants near by. Allowed us to check in early(ish) and leave our cases before hand. Free water bottled water that was replaced. Friendly helpful reception staff.

Room could have done with a deep clean, marks on curtains, stain on the carpet, scuff marks on walls and shower screen had mould on edges of the glass, also yellow stain on shower tray where something had been stuck down previously.

I love it's location. It's in the perfect position for easy access from the train station and there are plenty of food and drink places near by. The staff are always really pleasant and professional. It also feels very safe

I stayed in the Maldron before, not long after it first opened, so I noticed a big change in the upkeep of the rooms. There were a lot of scuff marks on the walls and the bathroom door was breaking down at the corner. Also noticed some staining on the bedding sheets. The towels for showering are not really big enough unless you are a size 8-10. I realise it's hard to keep maintenance up in a hotel that is so popular, it's just a bit unfortunate

Hotel location is excellent, and hotel staff are lovely. The bed was comfortable.

Room was not quite as booked - was given a triple when I booked a double which made it a little cramped for space. The room was very noisy - water pipes in hotel made thumping noise thorough night, early morning street noise was not dampened by double glazing. The air-conditioning in the room was on a timer that was unable to be altered and ran for 3hrs before turning off, which made it stuffy during the night and woke me up several times.
