Did not have breakfast so can't comment but the coffee bar was nice & they have a little 'shop' that sells snacks if you don't feel like eating a large plate from Room Service late at night! Fab location for my needs - a concert at The Limelight venue. It's right next to a Starbucks & the bus station that provides the routes to both airports. Our room was spacious, clean & very comfy. The beds were nice & firm - we both had a great night's sleep. They provide pillows of varying firmness which is great! Bottled water was provided in room too alongside teas, coffee & biscuits :) Bathroom & carpet were both clean which is very important for me!

Excellent city centre location within walking distance of the shops, restaurants and the cathedral quarter. Very clean and good value for money. The Guinness stew is wonderful.

Our first evening meal in the restaurant was a nightmare and something akin to Fawlty Towers! The staff were completely under trained. Fortunately, having eventually addressed our complaints with Meg (restaurant manager), she listened to our issues, took them on board and dealt with the situation professionally. Hopefully the staff will now have the training to deal with genuine customer complaints and not make you feel like you are wrong and trying to get a free meal. The chicken tikka masala is more like a Chinese sweet and sour chicken - hopefully it has been removed!

The hotel is bright and airy. Fantastic location for all the things we wanted to do in Belfast. The reception staff were lovely and friendly. The lifts were convenient and quick. My room was spotless and I loved having a bath in the bathroom. The shower was warm and good flow. Towels spotless and fluffy. The room had an ironing board and iron, very convenient. The breakfast was plentiful and had lots of choice.

My room location was at the very end of a long corridor which I didn't like when having to walk to it alone at night , despite it being well lit, I felt vulnerable. This is a small thing but the shower gel and shampoo dispensers didn’t pop up again after you pressed the top, this meant having to lift them with your fingers to then press again, quite tricky on the wire metal shelf in the corner of the shower area, with wet fingers , the bottles slipped a few times as a result bouncing into the bath.

All the front of house staff that we encountered were very friendly and helpful. Our room on the fourth floor was perfectly quiet (it faced inwards to the inner courtyard of the building rather than the main road). Comfy bed. Breakfast was fine: we stayed three nights over a weekend and went down before 8am each morning and got a table no problem.

The quality of the breakfast food was really quite poor (slightly worse than what the more budget hotel chains would provide in my opinion). Expected much better. Need to provide more fruit. Staff were weirdly slow to clear the breakfast tables! Almost every single available table had used plates and cutlery sitting on them at one point. They were sorted at glacial speed! There were dozens of empty tables each morning but we often struggled to quickly find a clear / clean one.

Room, Staff - especially Naomi on reception. Breakfast was good with varied choices. Our room was good apart from external noise. We were upgraded to King and single beds room with brighter feeling than room with sofa - which had a 'connecting' door) to adjacent room.

Sound insulation was not good re external noise - room location had a nice outlook toward an adjacent garden but also toward the main street outside. Room 101 was by the corner of the building. There was a lot of noise from road e.g. loud voices, 'drilling' sounds at 1 am on our second night - closing the window did not cancel enough of the noise. If staying again I would request a room with same outlook but further away fro the main road. Found it strange there was no safe in the room and very limited storage for clothes i.e. one small drawer and a few clothes hangers - OK for one night but not for a few days.

Always had to ask for something, not consistently replenished ie. Cups, glasses, spoons, jams, fruit salad. As soon as I found a member of staff they were happy to replenish but this should be automatically done.

I mentioned on a number of occasions about it being my mums birthday by email & at reception, they said they would sort something out, nothing was acknowledged. I asked for a shower as my Mum couldn't step into a bath, this wasn't acknowledged but fortunately when i went back down to reception they gave us an upgrade, this was perfect as it had a walk in shower. Our cleaner (girl with brown curly hair) sorry forgot your name, beautiful girl with a lovely manner was amazing, if you asked her for anything, it was no trouble!

The location of the hotel is excellent for access to Grand Central Station and the City Hall area. The pick up point for the Giant's Causeway tour is in front of the hotel. The staff were excellent, very friendly and helpful. Great customer service. We liked the room. The shower was powerful with hot water. The bed was firm for people with back issues. The curtains block out any light and the double glazing reduces traffic noise. The restaurant staff were really excellent. We also liked the security arrangements to the bedrooms.

The pillows were very hard. We asked for softer ones but were not available.

Although also a positive - room doors were very heavy and therefore required a good push to close. This also meant that the 'bangs' in the corridor were very loud when people arrived and left. Particularly noticeable early morning I also tried to call room service one evening and got no reply from there, the restaurant or reception. Ended up going out to get some food

I had previously emailed ahead to ask if I could drop my luggage with the hotel as I would arrive into Belfast pre-check in. And I was told that if the room was available they could check me in straight away. When I did arrive, the room was ready so that was even better. There were multiple lifts and they were super quick so you were never waiting long for one. The bar and atmosphere in the bar was good.

Express check out wasn't explained. There were no hooks in the bathroom, nowhere to hang a hand towel or even your own towel when you are using the bathroom. There is no fridge in the room either.

There did not seem to be a great time to go to breakfast to avoid queuing, and we tried 3 different times over 2.5 hours. The staff were working hard, but even when you got your table, there were consequences because of the high number of guests. E.g. No coffee cups, or glasses available, the coffee machine needing to be refilled, no fruit salad, not enough tongs to serve hot food: these were all things we experienced during our stay. It was OK on our last morning because we were not on a schedule, but on the days we had trips booked, these issues meant that we basically went without.
