Extremely friendly and helpful staff. The room was spotless with excellent black out curtains, it was the standard Ibis formula. The location is excellent for city centre, it was also very quiet.

It says on booking.com that hotel has parking, it doesn’t. There is an NCP car park opposite. If you download the NCP app and pre-book, you’ll get a better rate. It’s worth knowing this in advance, I chose the hotel as it said it has parking, I arrived at 10pm to find there was none. I almost went in to a much more expensive car park by mistake (Castlecourt car park) but phoned the Ibis to ask advice, which was when they mentioned NCP. There doesn’t seem to be a set down area so you can check in/dump bags and then park.

The staff were excellent, we had a few teething issues which were quickly resolved. The staff which we dealt were very helpful, can only remember one name Stuart, he was very great. Location is excellent, would stay again.

Minor things . We stayed for 3 nights and the cups were not washed once, we left the ticket on the door to be cleaned, only the bed was made, bins still full, no teas or milks were topped up. We had to ask for top ups. Door key didn’t work on numerous occasions at the first door downstairs so had to keep asking the staff to let us through

Very friendly welcome. All staff on breakfast were very nice and welcomed in the morning before eating and while taking our room number. Breakfast was great. Lovely food and good choice.

Day 1 - put the sign on the door handle for no cleaning required. Day 2 - removed the sign as we had run out of toilet paper but room wasn't cleaned and ended up with a sign on the door handle despite me removing it in the morning before we left for the day. Day 2 - what's apped asking for toilet paper. It didn't arrive so we asked at the bar for it later on. It was delivered within 5 minutes of asking face to face. Day 4 - got a reply from the what's app saying it would be delivered but we were already checked out and at home by that time. Room was very stuffy despite window being open and hard to work the thermostat. Windows above the beds were loose and didn't stay up well. Socket on wall next to the mirror is loose.

I am disabled, and use a wheelchair, the staff at the hotel were wonderful, helpful, patient, understanding, and would go out their way to assist me, the room was wheelchair accessable and disabled friendly and very clean and tidy, food was great I had a good time there

On the downside i was continually harrassed by drunkards from the pub across the street, while i was having a cigarette outside even at one point having someone trying to force an inhaler which had i believe some sort of drug in it down my throat and being told to "take a puff" I had to forceable shove this persons hand away from my mouth which i managed to do, I did report what happened to a member of staff, and was asked "didn't someone from the pub come out to help you" ???

We had 1st fl room.. as requested. Our room was available pre official check in time which was great. An excellent and multi choice breakfast. Lovely Mojito for evening drink. The hotel was so central to many places of interest and quite close to Grand Central St for arrival/departure. Exceptionally friendly and helpful staff at all times.

As we have stayed in this hotel before we have noticed some changes. The "single" bed is definitely narrower. I would think 3ft wide. 3.5ft would be better for a comfortable sleep. And perhaps a fridge in the room? Otherwise the room was well equipted with good TV, good quality bedding and excellent bathroom facilities and towels. The narrow bed was the only thing that prevented me giving 10 to this hotel.

The hotel is in a great central location. The room was good, the bed was a good size and very comfortable. I was given an accessible room, which I didn't require, but it was perfectly usable. The room had an interconnecting door with the next room; there was a small amount of noise from the next door, but nothing which caused a problem. The view was over a central courtyard, which was OK. The food and drink offered on the ground floor are excellent. I had an evening meal and breakfast on both days of my stay. The breakfast offerings were varied, with hot and cold options and of very good quality.

There was an issue with the TV in the room; it wasn't a big problem as I wasn't in Belfast to watch TV. I found the air-conditioning switched into heat mode in the middle of the night. I don't know if it was something I did or not, but I woke up in the early hours very warm. There was a continual hum in the room which didn't come from the air-con. It wasn’t a huge issue but was noticeable.

I like trendy and upbeat places and the IBIS was that. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was spotless with good pressure showers. As a lone visitor who is used to travelling with someone I felt comfortable and relaxed. The hairdryers were nice and powerful.

The Carpark entrance signage wasn’t obvious, but understand that it is NCP, not IBIS. Since it is used by many visitors to IBIS who are not regulars this could be an easy fix maybe in collaboration with NCP. Once through the shutters, the Carpark was secure, very good value with sensor lighting when you got in.

Staff so friendly and helpful, above and beyond expectations. Breakfasts really good, pizzas and snacks excellent. Rooms very clean despite refit going on. Staff really well organised. Only negative was the beds. We had twin beds and they were very narrow. Beds were sturdy good mattresses and toppers, good duvets although the duvet covers very oversized, just the beds too narrow which impaired comfort and sleep. However it was a good location for city centre the staff and facilities for food and drink were excellent and the hotel was very clean. Best budget hotel I’ve stayed in for a long time.

Beds too narrow

The breakfast was absolutely amazing. The scrambled egg was the nicest I have ever had. Everything was so tasty and so fresh. It was actually tastier than you would get at some 4 and 5 star hotels. Everything was so clean and spotless. Nearly all the staff couldn't do enough for you. I will definitely be returning if I go back to Belfast.

The only fault I had was when we arrived at 7 15 we were told that we had to be down by 7 30 for last orders for dinner. I thought that was very odd. We had breakfast and dinner included in our package and we weren't ready to eat then. When I asked the next morning I was told that dinner was served until 9. So I was very disappointed with this.

Loved the manager and the guy who made the cocktails for the updated Christmas cocktail photos . Gave us loads of ideas and help with what to do and what pubs to go and visit. Double room very spacious Everything was literally in walking distance and was so easy to get to

The sink pipes smelt when running the taps in the bathroom . There was a staff member called Jonny , I found him quite rude. He needs to be careful what he says about the troubles as it can offend people also somethings should be kept for his private life and remain professional when his meant to be working
