Staff were so welcoming and friendly. We received a free room upgrade on arrival and were able to check in early also at no extra cost. The receptionist also gave my son an Easter egg and allowed him access to the bouncy castle they had on site for the Easter holidays. The rooms were lovely, clean, and comfortable with everything needed for our stay. We visited the swimming pool while there also which wasn't too overcrowded, and the hotel provides towels for guests to use here. The service and standard of food in the restaurant were as exceptional as always and again, and again is good value for money. There are loads of options for breakfast in the mornings as well. Nothing is ever too much trouble for the staff who go out of their way to be pleasant and helpful at all times. There is also loads of on site parking too.

The location was good for us as it was close to our family. You definitely need a car as it is somewhat remote. The room was large with a large bathroom. The public areas were comfortable. Good breakfast.

We were given an accessible room even though we didn’t require or ask for one. This was fine except for the shower. The shower cubicle fell apart when you opened the door. It was supposed to be accessible for disabled people but any able bodied person would struggle. No shower gel provided so we had to buy some. There was shampoo and soap however.

From the moment we stepped in the door the lady on the desk was absolutely lovely and very helpful she set up the bouncy castle just for my son he was delighted as he didn't think she would as he was the only child around at that time, the dinner was delicious, for breakfast there was a number of options pancakes, croissants, cereal, fruit, yogurt and hot counter with sausages, bacon etc. The beds were very comfortable. The swimming pool is heated so it was really nice they have floats, pool noodles and beach balls for the kids to use. Over all we had a fantastic stay I'd definitely recommend this hotel if you have a car to travel as it is 15 minutes away from the town and any shops so a car would be needed as I didn't see any bus stops around.

The only thing I didn't like was the bar closed very early and did not open until 12 so you just have the option of the vending machines

The reception staff on arrival were friendly and helpful and took an interest in our evening when we returned from the theatre. Staff at dinner and breakfast were efficient and on hand for whatever people needed. The breakfast room was well spread out and there was an excellent range of hot and cold items on offer.

The TV wouldn’t work in our room.

Friendliness of staff, clean comfortable room with everything you could need. Complimentary amenities were great. Times for breakfast and selection was great and food on the restaurant was plentiful and delicious and reasonable priced

Drinks in the bar very expensive and had to purchase swim hats to use the pool but as hotel guest this should have been free as was mandatory to wear.

We loved it

A small point was the dinner wasn't as good as we had hoped. The inflexibility of the children's menu when I asked for a different topping on his pizza was surprising from such a nice establishment. I was told "it's strictly whats on the menu" to which I sarcastically thought "Oh that's fine, children being notoriously easy going when it comes to food". I had the adults burger which I didn't like. The bun seemed to overpower the taste of everything else. Maybe a different sauce would help. A Mayo mustard or something. The food didn't seem to match the quality of the rest of the hotel.

I thought it was a really nice hotel overall. Think the room I was in was nice and clean but a bit dated for the price. Also the receptionist was great this morning doing some photo copies for me. 😀

The 168 price tag. I'm not moaning for the sake of moaning and paid without hesitation, but I think the price should be a bit less if you're a solo traveller. That's my only gripe.

Breakfast was absolutely fabulous- fantastic selection, lovely quality products and catered for gluten free and vegetarian. Mattresses were very comfortable and we could control the heat in our room which was great. Shower had great pressure so was lovely. Love music in the hotel was brilliant

The spa facilities need to be upgraded- the steam room had no steam. Sauna was fine but small. Pool was nice in fairness as was jacuzzi but facilities could do with an upgrade.

Well run establishment, staff very pleasant, rooms excellent and facilities highly rated. Fabulous swimming pool. The grounds were exquisite and well cared for.

Only one issue with the key card which kept wiping itself! I'd no phone nor card near it but eventually the cleaning staff realised it was the door and not us. They ensured it was fixed promptly

We spent Easter at La Mon Hotel and were delighted with the amount of activities the hotel had in it's offer to entertain children. Variety of choices for breakfast. Nice mains in the dinner menu. Friendly staff. Lots of places to rest and to have relaxing time at the fireplace. Life music every evening. Large, clean swimming pool and well equipped gym.

Rooms could be better cleaned. Expensive alcohol.
