For the money paid, I was satisfied with the night I stayed there and the room was modern and cosy!

Limited breakfast. Continental style in self-service kitchens situated on each floor. You are sharing one table with guests on each floor.

Great location and very clean. Bed was extremely comfortable.

The only gripe I have is that the room got very hot at night, with only a desk fan for aircon - could really do with having proper aircon fitted but I understand it's difficult to retrofit older buildings.

The breakfast was fantastic as long as you have reasonable expectations. Obviously, there was no menu, or cooked breakfast, but there was toasts, cereals, ham, cheese, jams, honey, chocolate spread, pastries, orange/apple juices, tea, coffee and fruit. It was hygienically served and plentiful and was a great way to start your day exploring the city.

Unfortunately I had to moved from the extremely noisy room at the front, by the roadside because it was unbearably loud and prevented sleep. However, the staff were all extremely helpful and informative throughout my stay and they moved me to a much quieter back room immediately when asked.

The luggage room did not lock and there were no tags on individual bags. The staff might be keeping an eye who goes into the room, but they did not make sure that people take only the bags they own

Beds were really comfy, location was great for shops and restaurants. The bus to International airport stopped right nearby at the university. Option in the cupboard for softer pillows as the ones on the bed are firmer and I like having one of each so loved that being available. Staff member at check in was friendly and helpful.

Room was very warm, no aircon just a fan. Couldn't have the window open as on a main road so it was too loud. Noise isn't a problem with the window shut. Unfortunately didn't get to try the breakfast as it didn't start until 8 (you can get continental at 7) but I needed to leave for the airport by 6.45.

Property was clean, staff were super friendly, continental breakfast was great, laundry room was helpful. The room itself wasn’t tiny, bigger than we expected! Bed was comfy. The place overall was actually quiet, so much better than larger hotels. We had the window open most of the time too and to be honest there wasn’t an awful lot of outside noise either other than the obvious cars etc but with the window closed you couldn’t hear these noises. Inside the property there was very little noise too, I couldn’t hear any of the rooms next to me, heard the odd door opening and closing but nothing crazy!

The bathroom had a bad smell that was extremely strong unsure if it was caused by drains or what it was (didn’t mention anything to the staff as unsure what really could have been done) The dishwasher also had a strong smell foul smell, which left the clean dishes with the same smell, unsure if the filter needs changed or what? (Again I didn’t actually mention this to staff because there was also a sink and fairy liquid so I just cleaned my dishes before using them anyway).

Great location, could see the cathedral from our window. Right by bars in cathedral quarter, 15 min walk to the main shops & square. Rooms very clean & lovely bathroom with powerful shower. The continental breakfast in the kitchen each morning was a great touch. The girl who checked us in was lovely & very helpful - the rest of the staff just ignored us. WiFi was difficult to connect to at first but was then really good.

Bed was very small, wouldn’t be suitable for 2 tall adults. Rooms are very warm (& the weather was cold & rainy during our visit, so must be unbearable in hot weather), luckily there’s a fan which we had to have on alnight. The area is very noisy, even with windows shut. Alnight there was banging & shouting outside (the park outside seemed to be congregating point for local drunks & addicts) then at 6am lorries were beeping, then building work started. They only clean the room every 3 days - no one told us until last day, but you can get fresh towels from laundry room on level 1. Breakfasts in the kitchens were great, but groups & families would take over making it very uncomfortable & difficult to get in there.

Excellent location, very friendly and helpful staff. Compact room but it had everything I needed. Clean. Late opening convenience store next door. Could walk everywhere easily. Could stow bags after checkout which was helpful. Plenty of hot water. Decent value for money.

The bed was big enough for just me but would have been small if for two people. The breakfast was nice and served on the same floor which was handy, but the cheese slices were in the same tray as the ham slices with one pair of tongs, which was off putting for me as a vegetarian. I left feedback about this so hopefully they will change this. I was surprised that housekeeping had come into my room whilst I was out to clear away the extra free toiletries even though I had a do not disturb sign on my door. Pillows are quite fat.

The staff were friendly & helpful. Every floor has a kitchen where you can help yourself to drinks, cereal, toast, ham, cheese and fruit in the morning from 7-10am. The location is fantastic. It is very central and near plenty of bars and restaurants. It's near a ot of the main bars that do live music in the afternoon and evening every day. A lot of these places serve food as well. The room has everything you need, tea and coffee facilities that are topped daily. Lovely shower and a tv that you can get YouTube on, etc. Towels are also replaced daily.

The hotel was noisy every morning early on. The floor boards and doors opening and closing all of the time we're loud. There were road works outside next to the hotel so of you are thinking of booking soon take ear plugs. It didn't bother me because I wore ear plugs so it didn't affect my stay. The bed was a small double & you have to climb over the person next to you to get in and out of bed. It's difficult because you can't do it without disturbing the person you are climbing over. Again, it didn't affect my stay. I was aware of this when I booked. Long stay I would have booked somewhere else, but we were only doing 3 nights. It was fine. The bed was comfortable.

Location is great. Excellent corner shop next door. Good private patio for smokers. Room layout is comfortable. Bed is comfortable. Good shower pressure and bathroom in general. Very clean. Secure. Lovely staff.

The lift sounds very clunky, drops when you step into it and struggles to get the doors open on certain floors. There is a usb wall socket in the room that shines extremely brightly, disrupting sleep. Not enough power sockets. Worst of all though is the breakfast room-a socially anxious person’s nightmare. A room with ONE six-seat table for the whole floor of at least eight rooms. People were bringing chairs in from their rooms because there weren’t enough to all squeeze around this tiny table.
