From the moment we entered starting at check in every single staff member was friendly, smiling and chatty. The room was large and spotless. They had left us some lovely little Halloween treats. Most comfy bed and pillows we have slept in at any hotel in Belfast. We are in the restaurant and the food was excellent, huge portions and well presented. Staff in restaurant were very professional, friendly and welcoming. Breakfast next morning was very good too. Hotel is in the university area with lots of places to go to close by or a hop on bus if you don’t want to walk into centre, though it’s a pleasant walk. We used the train to travel and it’s literally 2 mins from botanic station so no worries about parking. We will return
No complaints at all

The hotel is in an excellent location within walking distance of most attractions in Belfast. The room was large, comfortable bed with all amenities very good. Breakfast was delicious. Adam the restaurant manager was very friendly, from saying good morning at breakfast to having a chat to us in the resident's bar before bed time. He seemed to always be there and was lovely and very helpful.
Obviously being above a bar it could be a little noisy, but that's what you expect. Although on a Sunday night it seemed to be louder than usual and usually the room was more sound proof. But it is a hotel with a bar, so that shouldn't really be a criticism.

The building was beautiful, really old structure with lots of character in the hotel lobby and bar/restaurant area especially. The hotel was in a great location being just around a 10/15 minute walk into the centre of Belfast and about 20/25 minutes to Cathedral Quarter. It was a great stay and the staff were great, if you add on £9 for breakfast it is brilliant with lots to choose from! It was about a £40-50 taxi ride from Belfast International Airport. The great thing about it was the 12pm checkout on the Sunday, we didn’t feel rushed in anyway. It is noisy from the bar/club attached to it but if you can get past that, it’s absolutely fine and the beds are super comfortable 😊

Just about everything - the room was clean and spacious. We were so grateful for the large fan in the room, that made the summer temps just about manageable. We also added on breakfast to our booking, which was excellent. All staff we interacted with were very friendly, and nothing was a bother.
Honestly, the only thing you could really grumble about is the noise. However, they provide you with earplugs, and once the room fan is on, you can't really hear the club noise.

What a great little gem of a hotel. Every staff member is absolutely what makes this hotel stand out. This clearly demonstrates a good leadership team which promote a healthy work environment and as a result, shows in their excellent customer service. The live Irish music was amazing in their in house bar and the interior architecture of the building is pleasing to the eye and is rich in history. Note, they also pore a good pint (only Guinness will do!). I like the fact that I can comfortably recommend this hotel, considering I rarely do reviews!
The creaky floors, however when raising this to the team; management mentioned this is something they are aware of and the rooms are getting revamped.

From the minute we walked into this hotel to the minute we left the staff were exceptional, helpful friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The hotel and adjoining bar is full of character and very welcoming The room was comfortable it had a hairdryer a safe kettle and tea and coffee. The food was fabulous and reasonably priced and there was excellent live music in the evening Breakfast was brilliant The location is within easy walking distance from Queens university, the botanical gardens and the city centre and bus station
There was nothing I did not like

The hotel was situated in an ideal spot central to what we planned on doing. It was quiet and comfortable, and we enjoyed our stay. Drinks in the bar were good, and the hotel and bar staff were very friendly. I don’t know how many people were staying at the hotel while we were there, but we only saw one or two other guests, so it was nice and quiet.
It seems that the hotel is in need of a remodel. The plumbing in the bathroom wasn’t great - the toilet didn’t flush very well and the water in the shower drained very slowly. After many years and hundreds or thousands of guests, any property would be in need of new carpets, linens and towels, and a major deep cleaning. However this didn’t bother us and we enjoyed our stay.

Staff were very friendly and helpful. Especially a receptionist who told me the NCP car park doesn't open until 7.00am, this would have made me miss the 7.30 ferry sailing I had booked. Unfortunately I didn't get her name, but thanks. Also, the room was very well appointed, clean and comfy.
The only down side is no onsite parking, however, there is a NCP which gives a discount if staying at the hotel, but beware as not open until 7.00am (see above)

This hotel is a absolute gem to find in Belfast City. It is in a lovely building in one of the best possible locations for sightseeing with the City Hall only a 10-12 minutes walk from the hotel. The rooms are very large, clean and comfortable. The staff were absolutely brilliant, so friendly and helpful. The atmosphere in the bar and the hotel was excellent with a great vibe with the live music and entertainment. We were on the 2nd floor and didn't have any problem with noise. There are loads of restaurants nearby, with the Thai Village being one of the best. Best hotel in Belfast for location, service and comfort at a reasonable price.
There was nothing to dislike about this hotel.

I contacted the hotel prior to my arrival to ask about early check in, I received a reply almost instantly and they let me know they would do their best to accommodate me as early as they could but would keep my luggage safe in reception until then. Upon arrival the lady at the desk was so lovely and they had given me a free upgrade! The staff all seemed lovely and if i’m back in Belfast i will be sure to stay again :)
