The apartment is well furnished, with everything you could possibly need with modern fittings. The location is great, minutes, in a car, from excellent shopping facilities and Durham City also Beamish open air museum is not too far. We have stayed here before in June 2022 for our son's wedding, it was a party of about 18 and it was brilliant because the grounds in Plawsworth are extensive with stunning views, we all cooked a meal in our own apartments and then dined outside together, there are tables and benches provided outside. The Red Lion pub is about a five minute walk away and serves good food and drinks. Plawsworth is a really lovely place to stay.

If there is one negative it would have been to have blinds on the windows for privacy.

The host was extremely responsive and accomodating. The facilities were cleand and very nice. THe host even waited up until about midnight to meet us because our flight was delayed. They were so kind I can't say enough good things about the Plawsworth Cottages!!

THe only small issue was that for some the beds were a little too firm but that was a personal preferenc issue on their part but they were great for most of our party of 11.

Brilliant accommodation! We arrived late which had been arranged with the hosts and absolutely not an issue. The cottage was beautiful,well appointed and had everything you could need. We only stayed for 2 nights but could easily have stayed longer and done a full self catering holiday. Rooms were spacious and airy. The premises are set in beautiful countryside, very quiet at night and excellent views. We would definitely return and also recommend to others.

We had a premium apartment - it was big and had every basic you need for self catering. Beautiful view from the living room, and lovely big sliding door to help with keeping the room cool. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom big. It was very clean throughout.

We had an issue on arrival, but it was quickly and professionally dealt with. There are a few things missing from the apartment - an extra chair/stool would have made us more comfortable, the bedroom needed an extra side table and the living area could have used a lamp or 2 for the evening. The room was very very clean, but there are a few scuffs/broken tiles around which could do with a touch up to make it absolutely immaculate.

We were given a warm welcome when arriving. We had booked the three bedroom cottage and the two bedroom flat for a family stay over the Christmas period . Fantastic countryside location but also near enough to shops at Durham or Chester le street if you needed them or wanted to explore. Both properties were spotlessly clean with great facilities , everything we needed was included . Really great place to stay and we had a fabulous time .

Great Location just off the main road and a short drive to Durham. Lovely looking area and the cottage was very spacious and had everything we needed. Despite being an end terrace we were surprised that we couldn’t hear the neighbours, only when they walked down the stairs - well thought out layout when building. We would definitely stay again. Harry checked us in and was very nice and told us about Beamish which is close by. We didn’t have any issues at all and would definitely stay there again.

We liked everything.

Loved the location. Surrounded by fields and so quiet despite being just off the A road. Comfy beds and well equipped kitchen. The under floor heating kept us nice and warm despite the unseasonably cold weather. Just a short walk to the Red Lion pub where Plawsworth guests get 10% off which was an added bonus. Perfectly situated for visiting Beamish. On arrival we were upgraded too which was very nice and much appreciated.

Nothing to not like really. A few more kitchen utensils maybe but that’s being picky.

The apartment was beautiful, very modern and spacious. The grounds were amazing with some amazing views. The location was perfect with towns and cities in easy reach.

If I had to pick something, the only thing I'd say is it would be handy to have some coat hooks! This is just a personal observation not a dislike!

Great location just outside Durham and with Beamish museum a few miles in the other direction the location was perfect for us. The pub over the road was also very good, although the portion sizes are very large! The apartment was great and in a lovely setting.

It really do we some coffee mugs, as those tea cups are just too small ! :-)

Met with a warm welcome shown the room explanation about what to do on leaving at the end of holiday & asked to let gentleman know if needed anything. Excellent apartment advantage of having 2 toilets and a ground floor apartment because of mobility. Everything needed was included. Very pleased this is our 2nd time of staying here and we would book again.
