Rooms were big, furniture looked nice and location was great in the heart of everything. Had extras like fan, iron and ironing board. Friendly, helpful staff on reception.

100 pound damage deposit. Lots of little stains and scuffs on carpets and walls doors and furniture, felt we had to note them all at the start of our holiday to ensure we didn’t get blamed for them and lose our deposit. The stains didn’t change the fact the rooms were still nice and clean in general.

Pretty much everything. Location was great, apartment was a very good size and the facilities were everything we needed for a short stay. Staff were also very helpful.

The sofa looked a little tired and dirty. Probably better off using leather style like the armchairs so it's easier to keep clean. Although we managed to get a space, parking can be a bit of a lottery

I loved the location. The hotel was very clean and the staff were amazing. The bed wasn't the most comfy. I'd slept it'll, but it was ok. The floorboards were very creaky (as expected in an old building) but I had gone to bed early on the Saturday night and when the neighbouring rooms returned late into the night their floorboards did wake me up. I'm not complaining, just an observation, but I'm not sure how easy that would be fixed, but it was annoying being woken up. The breakfast was good with lots of choice. The bar area was great, and everything was very reasonably priced. Overall, it was a lovely stay. Thank you

It was a lovely, well decorated and clean room, with a very nice ensuite, and a great hotel with a huge lounge where I could work or relax. Staff were also very helpful and friendly. It was also unbelievably well located literally just 20 yards across the road from.the station. So what was not to like? Just that I could not get my TV on, which said no signal so hardly surprising. Also, I had no idea if breakfast was included in my stay. There was no mention of it on their website as I cld see or on my ebooking, and I was so busy working, I forgot to ask, so if there was one I missed it. But overall the County is a very good place to stay!

The location is unbeatable, almost ideal. City centre - right at the central train station square, close by, within easy walking distance to Royal Theatre, the iconic Tyneside cinema, the Queyside, the Millenium Bridge, other key museums and attactions. Several minimarkets, shops, bars around the hotel. No external noise at all even though the hotel is in a noisy location. Wi fi worked perfectly. The staff generally pleasant.

The room had practiclaly no proper window. Water in the bathroom was leaking sideways by the sink, to which I alerted the reception, it was never fixed. Shower temoerature was not easy to regulate. While externally there is no noise, one can hear a lot of noise from within the hotel, people walking and talking. The choice of international TV news channeles were very poor, not eveb BBC World could be found. Reading lamp is next to useless, one cannot read in bed at night with the reading lamp only.

I really liked the location as it was so close to the city centre and it was opposite the train station. The room was small but perfectly formed, and contained everything we needed (as well as being very comfortable). Breakfast was great too.

The only thing I disliked was that, when I first arrived, I noticed that there was a small makeup/fake tan stain on one of the hand towels; it seemed like the towel had been washed/cleaned but the stain just hadn't gone away in the wash.

Very comfortable bed. A very friendly porter attentive to disability needs. The junior suite room was lovely, spacious, and comfortable.

Disabled access bell at the front entrance was broken, and staff kept referring to it as a Bell for guests who arrive late at night. Access was through the hotel car park but not labelled/ signposted. At night, you need to contact the reception staff to open the gate to get back in. Some reception staff were not great at giving important / relevant information.

The staff were great, Lynn was very helpful and friendly. Our apartment was facing in, so heard no outside noise even on a Saturday night. Location couldn't have been better, easy walk to station, shopping and Quay area and also walking distance to O2 Arena was only about 10 to 15 mins. Perfect for our stay as we were there to see Squeeze. 24/7 reception felt secure and they also had luggage storage if too early to check in. Had tea and coffee maker, we bought our own fresh milk just up the road. Also dishwasher tabs were left for guest use - handy. Really pleased with our stay. Hope we left everything spotless and would stop again, if in Newcastle, it was great value for a city weekend.

Only two small things to mention...... Kitchen was well equipped and had most things we needed, except a wine/bottle opener - very minor thing though and I'm sure if we'd have asked they would have gave us one. 😄 If being picky, it could do with a lamp in lounge and shower was okay, but not great pressure (which appreciate can't be helped sometimes with old city buildings) - but in no way did this affect our stay - so for feedback only.
