The hotel was lovely, the room was very clean and smelled lovely. We used the spa which was lovely, except the locker ate my £1 coin so I just had to leave my belongings in the locker. We had a few drinks in the bar which was lovely and it was a nice added extra having the piano player. Perfect location. Would absolutely recommend! :-)

Breakfast had a wide range of buffet options which were regularly topped up.. staff helpful and attentive. Lounge facility on 6th floor a useful bonus

There was an unfortunate misunderstanding between Booking. com and hotel about choice of room. An accessible room was allocated which could not be changed on first night. This had good facilities for those who needed this facility. A room change was arranged for the next morning. There could have been more information about the adjacent car par park which had an easy lift access close to hotel entrance. Unfortunately it ois not possible to pre book a space

The hotel is modern and in a fantastic location, very near to the station and a short walk into the city centre and quayside. The room had everything I needed. I booked a standard room but was allocated an accessible room with a roll in shower / wet room upon check in as the hotel was very busy. Whilst I would have preferred a room with a proper shower, it was great to see that the hotel has accessible accommodation for wheelchair users. The spa area is nice but was very busy, and there were young children playing in the pool and splashing around (it was Saturday afternoon)… not quite the relaxing experience I had hoped for!

Location of hotel was brilliant. Great value for money and offered everything we needed. Breakfast and staff were great.

We were told to “just head on down” when we asked about spa before our visit but weren’t made aware it was capped and first come first served. When we went down it was too busy. Staff did ring us when there was space but it was too late as we had a table booked. Had we known of caps and first come rules we would have tried access at a better time or went down earlier. This meant we didn’t get to use the spa on our visit which was a key reason for us choosing the hotel.

Swimming pool, 2 pool but 11-12 person allowed so need to waiting, yes but morning time no one is there so enjoying pool morning time is good. Nice view from 6th floor and near to metro station but off to markets but still manageable. If travelling from train then Newcastle central station is only 6 mins away to walk.

House keeping Bed was comfortable but when I go to sleep, there was 5-6 hair on the linen which is not good enough, again rain showers bath is not good enough for rain showers, just a normal bath, water flow is not easy, so good to take bath in a pool rather than in a room, bath tub is good. Smart TV is good to enjoy but casting with Tv showing on screen, I tried a lot but not working then enjoy YouTube.

Overall everything was great, room was very clean and beds were extremely comfortable, it met all our expectations. Spa staff were very helpful in finding a space for us to use the swimming pool. restaurant staff were also very friendly

probably the fact the reception staff were not very welcoming, just a brief nod and straight to the booking, not a great greeting you would expect from a very good hotel. i work in a customer service industry hence that's why am very aware/conscious of this. but not to say they were not helpful when we needed something the following day.

Location was excellent, handy for the station and a short walk to all city centre bars & restaurants. Safe & secure carpark right next door. The buffet breakfast was excellent, one of the best I’ve had at a hotel recently. Great selection of fresh fruits & continental style breakfast items plus all the expected cooked items. Also offered a gluten free range. We stayed in a Queen Room with rainfall shower, it was exceptionally clean and comfortable.

The pool was very small therefore limited numbers could be in the area at the same time. We were not advised at check in that the pool/steam room/jacuzzi area was likely to be busy given how full the hotel was. Had we been advised this then we would have booked a slot. I had also emailed the hotel in advance and again their “on the day only” booking system was not explained. We did manage to get to use the facilities briefly before heading out for our evening. If you are booking the hotel based on its leisure facilities then bear this in mind.

Excellent location for the train station and the Multi-storey car park, felt safe going to and from the car at night as the car park is adjacent to the hotel and well lit. The staff I spoke to were all nice especially the man at breakfast who got me a spoon for my hot chocolate, couldn’t have been more helpful, you need a spoon with a hot chocolate as they need extra stirring.

Had to wait behind 3 people to check in at 11pm, it seemed to take forever and there were several other staff buzzing about, I’d have thought one of them could have helped with checking people in, they should train everyone up to help at check in.

Location ideal for city centre, room clean & comfy, breakfast good, like spa facilities

There were issues getting out of car park Sunday morning for all our guests (party of 29, all family members). I appreciate that car park is public & probably not run by hotel but I guess it’s the one used by all hotel guests with cars. Issue seemed to be with manning levels in car park & operation of barriers but this went on for far too long with guests on long journeys ahead being told to wait another 30 mins. Not acceptable There was also an over the top reaction from some your staff at a minor indiscretion by one of our guests, staff were needlessly heavy handed in dealing with this. The above did not detract from wonderful stay & otherwise friendly/courteous staff team

Hotel was lovely. Only a minor few issues. Paid extra to stay in king suite. Quite a few hairs in the shower and clump and hair under the sink. And going for a drink in the bar after event, I was third or fourth in queue. Might as well been invisible. Everyone else was served and gone before I was even spoken to. Breakfast in the club lounge could have done with some beans. No ketchup. Only boiled eggs but decent. Room was fantastic. Staff that we interacted with were great. Would definitely stay again. The issues were minor and didn’t effect the stay
