reception staff were lovely and welcoming and very helpful

nothing to dislike other than I believe am still waiting for £200 deposit to be refunded to account

The staff at both the Vermont Hotel & the Vermont Aparthotel were exceptional across both places and with all services - from the concierge, to the check in folks to the housekeeping. The property was very nicely updated and comfortable.

Air conditioning was not an option in the Vermont Hotel. This was surprising. No other concerns with the Hotel. The Vermont Aparthotel was very nice, and comfortable, however we had concerns with the room not being vacuumed prior to our arrival (there was hair on the bathroom floors), the night stands had not been dusted in some time, and rhe previous customer's recycling was underneath the kitchen sink. The staff acted promptly and corrected the situation. The hot water for the shower was very limited

The location was perfect to get around the city close to a lot of places we wanted to go and also close by for the trains. The rooms were very comfortable and clean felt very relaxed. It was perfect for our toddler as we were able to access the hotel well, we really loved spending time in the lounge as we found it relaxed and chilled perfect for the little one as most places stop having young children after a certain time so we were still able to enjoy a hour before the night ends. The staff were friendly and very helpful with us. The rooms were always cleaned and left to a good standard.

I didn't book breakfast but the room location was great, overlooking the river, great views but you had to keep the curtains closed in the morning as the sun was on the window and there was no aircon. The location is amazing, we went to a wedding at the cathedral, it was so easy.

Noisy, with the night club, I was lucky I was on floor 8, but friends on higher floors were affected, particularly on the Saturday night. Beds were a little hard for my liking and the room needed aircon. The lifts have a mind of their own, unless you press up and down at the same time they can just sail past your floor. Otherwise a great price for a really lovely hotel.

Some of the staff was very helpful others weren't. On booking I was asked if I had any preferences I asked if it was possible to book in earlier then 3 o'clock the answer was if it was possible but it did work out that way when I rang to find out if I could come early the the girl on reception was very abrupt and spoke to me as If it was a silly suggestion so I was thinking why put it on the booking form if it is not a option I was rather disappointed in that when I was so looking forward to dropping my cases off and exploring the area but it did not work out that way as I say a bit disappointed.

We didn't choose to have the breakfast as we were eating later & and didn't want to fill up on breakfast. The location was easy to find from the station, not too far to walk. V helpful staff from the reception team & the concierge, we didn't meet any other staff.The staff let us leave our luggage for the day before our train home in the evening which was a bonus as we were busy all day at a graduation so was ideal not having to worry about our luggage. The room was ideal for our stay,v comfortable, we had two double beds & a settee .The room was huge, there was a snack menu and a mini bar to choose from but we didn't use those but made use of the tea & coffee facilities.

The Only downside were other guests slamming their doors & not holding the door handles on closing them which did disturb our sleep and the noise of I'm guessing the boilers unless it was the trains slowing as there was definitely a rumbling noise at some point.It didn't put us off and if we came bk to Newcastle would definitely visit again.

Fantastic hotel right in the heart of Newcastle so everything is within walking distance. As soon as we drove into the hotel, we were might by the valet and our car was parked for us. This really set the standard for what was to come and every staff member that we encountered were amazing, nothing was too much trouble and they all wanted to go above and beyond to make our stay a pleasant one. It does seem that charm and natural customer service comes easy to all staff at the Vermont. From the Valet, to Reception, to housekeeping and the Porters, thank you all for a very enjoyable stay.

Arrived and the carpark was full. The man in charge was amazing. He let us in and took responsibility for finding us a space when one became available so we could go and check in to our room. This saved us from having to pay for parking nearby and let us start enjoying the city straightaway. The room was nice and large and we appreciated the fridge we were able to put some artisan bacon and cheese into that we wanted to take home. It was a hot few days.

There were only two lifts for a large hotel. Both were being flaky and the fitter people decided on the stairs after 10 mins of waiting. The lifts did eventually come, but buttons had to be pressed many times for doors to open.

We really enjoyed our stay but there was an incident in the hallway and lift areas of the hotel when very lot, I think drunk members of the public who I don’t think were staying at the hotel were very rude and inappropriate to me and my mum. It was on the 11th floor and they were trying to get access to the Above Bar. I did report it to a staff member as we felt threatened and uncomfortable with the situation.

See above unfortunately due to the location there appears to be a problem with non guest trying to get access to the hotel and even demanding use of our room card!

Room Was Clean, Well illuminated, Nice Writing Desk close to the windows, ample bed and Room space. Ali and the Staff were Super friendly, Respectful, attentive and Helpful. there are restaurants and entertainment options in the premises. we found there's plenty of parking available in front of the hotel so there's no need to leave your car by the Quayside. Walking distance to the Shopping district and O2 City Hall if you plan on attending any concert or event. Millenium Bridges, Castle Keep, Newcastle Cathedral. Plenty of Restaurants and Nightlife nearby. This is a really good place to stay If you want to explore the city Day or Night.
