Perfect location to the arena, local bars and restaurants. No noise complaints, very comfortable bed. Staff were polite.

The bathroom was very old Although no dirt was found the bathroom just felt old and unclean.

How the hotel was set out and that it wasn't far to town centre and st james park, plenty of bars around and excellent atmosphere

The shower in our room was filling the bath up and water all over the floor as the water from the shower going everywhere, I slipped getting out of the shower, went to tell staff at the reception and all I got was there were no maintenance on on a weekend, I explained that I slipped in the shower and just basically said the same and there was nothing they can do till after weekend, apart from that the hotel was great and we had a fab weekend

The staff were super friendly and really went the extra mile for guests. Special mention to Brian, on the front desk, nothing was too much trouble for him. He welcomed us and truly made our stay extra special. The hotel room was really clean and in a great location. 15 minutes to walk to the Quayside and 15 minutes into the centre of Newcastle. There was a handy carpark called Times Square and we got a discount because we were guests at this hotel. The breakfast was also fantastic. Everything was cooked fresh and the staff were so quick to clean and tidy the area. I would 100% recommend staying here and can't wait to go again.

Lovely room. The bed was very comfortable. The shower pressure was good (I was a little skeptical as the bathroom seemed a little dated, but very clean!) also the location was perfect - as it is not directly in the city centre so it was quiet, but still only about a 5-10 minute walk to anything in town (just behind the Life Centre). The staff were also fantastic, absolutely lovely throughout my stay and very helpful. They also upgraded me to free breakfasts on both mornings I stayed, so that was a lovely bonus!

One downside was that my keycard stopped working both evenings I returned to the hotel. It worked throughout the day , but at night it didn't work. This was quickly fixed by the employees behind the reception desk though, and I couldn't fault their quick help and understanding. Also, I am glad I didn't pay for the breakfast as it was comped for me upon arrival, it was nice enough, but I wouldn't have been thrilled paying for it, but it was very accessible and an easy option. Also, the main lights in my room wouldn't turn on - not an issue for me as I prefer lamps/low lighting, but may bother some people.

Perfect location for the Glasshouse and a the staff were excellent. I loved having a room that faced the Glasshouse too. It was quiet and rooms felt well insulated as I couldn't hear other guests. Just shows how long this hotel has been where it is, as new ones now the walls are paper thin. The staff were amazing. I had accidently booked to the other Leonardo hotel, but all my colleagues were at Leonardo Queside. The reception staff were brilliant and were able to switch my hotels with a single phone call and transfer all my details onto the Queside hotel. After a really long journey, I was glad not to have to travel anywhere else that day.

The room looked tired, especially the bathroom. The toilet was wobbly and there was a huge gap between bath and sink cupboards.

From checking in to checking out. The staff are very friendly, welcoming and professional. Our room 729 which is the superior king room was lovely and clean and the bed was just the most comfortable bed I've ever slept in. We booked for 2 nights 3rd/4th May. The cleaner came round gave us extra coffee, milk & fresh towels for our room and was really lovely. The tv in our room came in handy for the 2nd day for us go relax as we had been out to Clubland the night before. The bathroom was very clean and I enjoyed a lovely warm bath. Checking out was very easy and we even got a discount of from reception for the car park (Times Square) which was really nice as well. Thank you for an amazing stay, definitely be booking again next time we visit Newcastle.

Can't pick any faults at all.

The hotel was a really solid option close to the city centre and reasonably priced. I was going to write a bad review due to there being no hot water at the property when we wanted to shower. However this issue has been kindly resolved by Booking.com and the hotel itself so I am sure this lack of hot water was a one off issue Breakfast was very enjoyable, comfortable beds and well located.

Hot water issue did put a stain on our stay but as said above this is likely to be a one off situation. They had an issue with their generators. Free parking would have been a bonus. We ended up paying £23 for parking which was with the hotels discount.

I liked the fact that the hotel was able to accommodate me and my family, even though I had mistakenly booked the wrong hotel! I had booked the one in Newcastle (the one quoted on this title) rather than the one in Gateshead - even though we’ve stayed in Gateshead before! The staff in the Newcastle hotel were able to switch things around. Thank you!

Obviously, due to my mistake, which then became a last minute booking, the room (in Gateshead) was not ideal as it was situated right next to the main road. This meant it was a bit more noisy than what we had experienced before, but the reason for that was completely my fault so we accepted it.

The hotel was very clean and I enjoyed my stay. The car park they recommended us to use was great and the hotel gave us it at a discounted price.

We set an alarm to wake up for 10am since check out was 11am but at around 9.45am a housekeeper burst in our room saying “housekeeping”. Me and my friend were still in bed and it felt like a massive invasion of privacy, i dont know why housekeeping thought it was okay to do that - they were clearly checking if people were in the room but its most definitely not a good way to do it and a better system should be put in place to ensure the privacy and dignity of residents.

Vary attentive and couldn’t do enough for us and friendly staff indeed and when we had issue with tv it was sorted straight away as soon as asked and the fact they catered for the Great North Run and went out way and opened breakfast earlier was brilliant

Argument in reception with other guests and manager wasn’t great and police being called in think this could have been taken somewhere more private away from other guests around and hearing. Breakfast wasn’t for us as we don’t like full English not great selection other then that but great if you like full English
