The Check-In staff were brilliant. I needed an extra room and they were able to provide this immediately.

Be aware of what position of room you are booked into. If you face the Stadium, you will probably hear Doof-Doof music until about midnight. The staff did tell us that they measure the sound with a decibel reader but the pub/club downstairs opposite the hotel has an open rooftop and the noise funnels into your bedroom window. We were on the 10th floor. After 4 nights of poor sleep, we asked the staff if we could move to the back of the hotel, and they were able to oblige that same morning. It was so peaceful from then on.

Excellent for walkers, very central location. Beautifully decorated. Loved the kitchenette and the bed was comfy. Excellent wheelchair access and wet room facilities.

Shower took a long time to get warm- had to run it for quite a while to get warm. There were no plug sockets near the bed, as a powered wheelchair user and needing CPAP to sleep with I was glad I always pack a long extension. There is a usb A socket for phones but wasn’t very useful to me as all mine are C cables. Although the access is brilliant and the step free access corridor is beautiful, not nice coming in next to the bins and it also isn’t clearly pointed out (I came through the bar as I didn’t know the accessible entrance was at the back) Not an issue for me but with the window open you can hear constant noise from big fans outside but I usually sleep with a fan on and found it like white noise.

The location is superb, being a Newcastle United fan it was excellent to be situated right across from St James Park. Everything you could need or want to see centrally in Newcastle is within walking distance from the hotel.

We loved being so close to St James Park but not so much when it came to the St James Stack. Don't get me wrong, it's a hell of a venue but it did get a bit loud at times. There was no real drama, closing the window helped with the noise but the weekend we stayed was particularly warm so the downside was that our room got a bit stuffy. All this aside, we can't wait to stay again.

Excellent location opposite St James Park! Room was compact and cosy but fine for one person.

Breakfast was a bit disorganised - running out of items like mugs for tea and some of the food. What was on offer was fine.

The hotel looks and feels expensive/posh on the ground floor

Room was a bit rough around the edges, cracked mirror, broken wipe dispenser, just the overall finish… Half smoked cig and litter on the balcony… And the building site directly outside, gorgeous view

Staff excellent and friendly. Great location. Pillows weren’t the greatest but bed comfortable enough. Great facilities in room plenty kitchen space and microwave hob etc if u fancied cooking yourself. Sofa bed was easy to use. Great walk in drench shower and lovely smelling toiletries. Excellent location for football fans however we were situated at the back of the hotel so no actual football noise when a game was on. Eldon square a 5 min walk however used a lot of Ubers as uphill walk from station and we went to metro centre a lot only £10 so reasonable priced for going there. Free tea/ coffee hot chocolate in reception was a nice touch . Only downside is a touch on the expensive side compared with other 4 stars in Newcastle would still return though.

Room was nice, small but nice and had everything we needed. Location was perfect for where we wanted to be.

Reception tried to charge us more than the booking.com price we had booked. They were adding breakfast on even though it was included. After refusing to pay the extra and a bit of back and forth with the receptionist she finally got a manager to look. The manage seen the issue straight away and fixed it for us. I just didn't appreciate the receptionist telling me I had to pay more even when I showed her my booking. Also when we went for breakfast they didn't have our room down as having breakfast included although this wasn't a problem they just allowed us to have it any way.

Hotel was nice and clean, fairly modern and perfectly placed for a city break. The staff were polite and helpful. Great town centre option. We ended up leaving early as our 11month old daughter wasnt well, which was a shame but were offered complimentary parking.

We requested a cot for our daughter, unfortunately it didn't come with a matress, just a blanket ontop of some hardboard. Ideally this should have been communicated prior to departure. Some of the fixings in our room, taps and toilet flush needed attention and were loose. Two small gripes, however we would 100% return

Comfortable beds my dd with additional needs absolutely loved how comfortable the pillows were Great location. Was distance to everywhere we needed. Tv casting was good but didn't always work. Breakfast was nice and the options of eggs were great to order. However, when it is busy, ALWAYS DO THIS FIRST. (I did not realise about the omelettes until my last morning as it's written in the card on the table. However, we did not realise i needed this after stsff had told us how it all was). Could have had more sweet things (my daughter said)

The one side of the bed was very close to the wall and on said wall had canvas which would easily be knocked. This is not ideal. Noise from St James Stack was horrendous even with windows closed it was loud. The upside was it stopped at midnight but wouldn't be good for all. Icing sugar on the crossaints at breakfast sent my SEN daughter into abit of a spiral 🙈 Isn't a separate bar for the hotel guests, there is a bar but everyone can walk in and especially of a weekend, this is something I could not do with my daughter as intoxicated people is not something she likes. So we couldn't go there unless for breakfast

The staff were great. My husband left his passport and they were very helpful in assisting me with the Royal Mail to get it back in time for our flight home. The hotel is right across from St James' Park and convenient to shopping and restaurants as well as the train station. My family of four stayed in one room with a king bed and bunk beds with a kitchenette which was very convenient.

The intersection by the hotel is busy and can be hard to navigate. It's also nearby to a hospital so ambulance noise can be bothersome (but neither are the hotel's fault).
