This is my third stay at Maria's house it is like home from home for me. I loved catching up. The bed is big and comfy. Everywhere is spotlessly clean and my big thing at all stays is the black out blinds or curtains and these were very good. I love a brew so being provided with tea is a lovely touch. The breakfast for me is spot on as having toast and or cereal is what I would have at home. Plenty of choices there. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend great value for money, within easy reach of everything. Enjoyed my two nights there.

Very clean, well presented interior. Was nervous as the photo does not give the same impression as being there (much nicer and brighter, and clean white sheets). Room is single as expected, but there is some storage and a bedside table. Marie is great, really welcoming and hospitable. Private parking space.

Front garden and entrance not the most appealing when you arrive, but you don’t sleep outside right ? Hides a hidden gem when you enter.

Maria's House was ideal for my trip. My room was comfortable and a good size for me. Maria was friendly and helpful and eager to assist me for my trip to Newcastle. I'd recommend Maria's House thoroughly.

Host Maria, was excellent, very flexible, we checked in at 4pm and checked out whenever we liked. Room was clean and comfortable and shower was excellent. Breakfast was left out for us and we helped ourselves in the morning. Great value for money, would highly recommend.

She is such a nice and caring lady, it was nice striking conversation with her. My room was nice, tidy and clean

The place is a bit remote, but there are buses to take you to town

My host was very warm, friendly, welcoming, very trusting & happy to help with anything. It was a very nice, warm, relaxing atmosphere & felt like I was staying with family as I was introduced to a few family members which was nice. My room was clean, tidy & comfortable. I was trusted with the owners keys to get in late after a gig & also to lock up & let myself out after my stay. Breakfast was left out for me to help myself to a variety of cereals, juices, tea/coffee, toast & fruit. I'd be happy to stay again & would of loved to of stayed & looked around Newcastle for longer than I did as everyone was very friendly & helpful. Thank you.

The breakfast is exactly what i have at home cereals and toast so home from home for me. The room was close to the racecourse where I was working. Maria was lovely and I enjoyed talking to her. The room was spot on no frills most comfortable bed I have slept on in a long while. Excellent value for money for the two nights which I stayed. I read some of the other reviews before I stayed my advice is read what is provided and what is not then there will be no misunderstandings. In short if you want value for money a place to get your head down and a breakfast chucked in you will love it. If you want more then stay in a hotel and pay the higher premiums.

Only two issues for me, one could be sorted the other not. 1, At night there was two much light in the room Maria spoke about black out blinds this would sort it. The other was the closeness to the main road meant a lot of passing traffic but that's not something that has an answer or a remedy. I will say that neither of these things would prevent me staying again. I would have preferred to have a tv and tea making things in the room but as I said earlier read what is provided and what is not before booking. I had my lap top so I was fine as for the tea makings Maria was more than happy to make me one.

Straightforward to find and private parking available. Room was clean and had plenty of plug sockets to charge devices. WiFi worked well. Breakfast was nice and owner very friendly.

Maria was a fantastic host, she has a beautiful home, safe, clean and easy to get into the city centre. Bed was comfy and shower nice and hot. Would definitely stay again.
