Comfortable beds, feels newly decorated, great rain shower. We were in the additional accommodation over the road from the main hotel. Good restaurant for evening dinner - great food, excellent service. Inclusive breakfast was plentiful, not a huge selection but fresh fruit, pastries, traditional English breakfast and a selection of juices, teas and coffees that were replenished frequently.

As a light sleeper I found the rooms quite noisy, it from the traffic outside but in the corridors and from adjoining rooms. We were staying the weekend so possibly more noisy than mid week.

Hotel is in a good location with many bars and restaurants nearby, i was given a room on the first floor (204) which was better than i expected for the price, the woman who checked me in offered me this as i was staying 5 nights which was a nice bonus, all the staff were friendly and the hotel is generally clean, i stayed midweek mon-fri so the issues others had mentioned about noise didnt really affect me also the students are finished for the summer aswel, its 5-10 min walk to the metro into town or £5 uber, i didnt have the breakfast so cant comment but there is multiple places nearby to eat anyways. The pub/bar next door is good for a drink and plenty screens to watch the sports, i would stay again

There was only half a roll of toilet roll in the room when i checked in, and the wierd speaker above the bed playing really quiet music was a bit fiddly to turn off, but no real issuea

The staff were lovely, the room was nice, everything worked, there was a tv in the room, the on suite was very cool. There were clean towels on the bed, loo roll in the bathroom, the bed sheets were clean. There was a working fridge, tea, coffee, milk, working kettle. Would 100% stay again ☺️.

The only thing to mention is the toilet was a bit low down and a bit close to the wall but I honestly can’t complain for the price and the niceness of everybody ☺️.

Love this hotel! Great value for money.We have stayed a few times now! Great location near bars, shops and restaurants. Friendly staff. If any issues they always deal with them quickly. Breakfasts very tasty, friendly staff too! Room sizes vary but comfortable bed, great shower and towels changed daily. Will definitely stay again I hope.

Although room ready for us the dirt bed linen from previous guests was lying on the floor in the bedroom! Music blaring from a speaker from the bar! My Mums room-broken standard lamp! No bedside lamps though one was put into room after we spoke to receptionist.

We thought the hotel was very good value for money. Generally the rooms were fine. Very large and lots of space for luggage. Basic but clean. It’s a 2/3 star hotel so if you go expecting that you will be pleasantly surprised. We were staying in the sister hotel across the road. We found staff to be friendly and helpful. We thought breakfast was good and the restaurants owned by the hotel were outstanding. Great service and even better food!

A few of our rooms had smelly drains and we ended up needing a few air fresheners. Loud outside but all noise stopped by 11/12 so wasn’t an issue for us as we were out until that time anyway.

This is a great value hotel in an expensive and vibrant location. I’ve previously stayed with them but in their other location (across the road - on the website for this hotel but in the Carlton) which has slightly cheaper rooms but as clearly explained on the website is above a bar so of course is a bit noisy. Paying a little more for a room in the main (Cairn) location is well worth it if you want something quieter. Fantastic staff who were friendly and helpful. This is not the Ritz as you are not paying Ritz prices but is clean, reasonably quiet (in the main Cairn hotel location) and great value!

A minor niggle was arriving late so no parking available on site - but it was easy to park around corner in Acorn Road until 10am when a space then became available on site.

We were situated in the hotel opposite from the main hotel, the staff in the main hotel were lovely however we only saw one member of staff in the one we were in and we did not need to speak with them, limited parking so we had to move our car so others could get out, the room was nice but could have been cleaner, a light looked like it had been ripped off the wall and the second shower head was hanging off the wall in the bathroom, the fridge was very hard to open so maybe it could be attached to the unit they are in? As it did come flying out at me. All in all for the price it was very good so we would stay again. There is a lovely little bakery near the entrance to the car park called pink lane bakery so I would recommend paying them a visit and the Waitrose is very handy.

Read the reviews after booking and got a bit concerned about a few items even though we were on a stag do. We had 7 different rooms booked and had no issues. Staff were great, bar and beer garden were great and the location was great.

Shower rooms could do with a bit of time spent cleaning but wasn't to the extent that anyone felt they had to complain - for the price of the rooms it's not really an issue. I would say however that even though it was a cheap stay, all our rooms were 'superior king rooms' but were different sizes. Would suggest booking a king room or more as you'll be away from the later busier bar a the sister hotel across the road.

The night lad at the other building was an absolute legend helped me so many times over the 2 days I was there no matter what he even recommended stuff for me to do, the hotel itself was amazing as well the receptionist was funny af at check-in and I honestly can’t tell you how much I needed that.

Maybe have a way to get in without the buzzer on the other building I can’t sleep I have insomnia and was in and out constantly. I just want to clarify the sleep thing was nothing to do with the hotel it is fully my insomnia

The hotel looks great and certainly has kerb appeal. The room was somewhat different than other chain hotels, a little quirky but entirely satisfactory. The bed was comfy and I had a great night's sleep. Rainfall shower was great. The breakfast was buffet style and had everything I expected, I was even provided with a proper pot of tea. Parking is available at the back of the hotel but is a little limited. Value for money was spot on.

Not a lot to put you off but I found the corridors to be really narrow so if you have a large suitcase just be careful. No lift that I'm aware of. Room was a little smaller than I expected, very narrow between the bed and bathroom wall with the TV cabinet in an awkward position on the wall so mobility around the room was not easy. The toilet is extremely close to a wall on one side, the sink is a little small and a couple of minor repairs wouldn't go amiss. The repair to the bathroom lock was amateurish. These are really just minor observations as I would stay again but I'd choose a different room option.
