The engineers i book for are quite fussy - i had 0 feedback in relation to the property - which actually means in my experience they were happy. Trust me i hear about it when they aren't. Also i have been asked to keep this accommodation as a favourite for when staying away for certain works so for me i cant get any better a comment than that. To me it says it all :) It is ran by a services package with proper email etc and great communication with Adey - even as a business i have had numerous scams on booking.com to the point i only book when desperate or prompted via recommendations or at the directors say so ;) so trust me when i say you will have no issues booking this accommodation.

The only comment i received at all was a little bit busy at night for parking in the area - but unless you have a workforce staying who have 4 vans this is always an issue so take this comment with a pinch of salt, but do bare in mind if a large party you might have to search a little for parking spaces.

Spacious

The smell of weed in the 2nd bedroom was overpowering

Brett was very helpful in giving directions, initially, and later solving our problem with lack of hot water. The spacious apartment was comfortable, clean, well-equipped and the views were wonderful. We have encountered properties in our travels where we had to purchase little necessities such as washing-up liquid, wine glasses, tea-towels, dishwasher tablets, scissors, corkscrews, trays etc. but ALL were provided here. Well done!

The apartment is looking a little tired. Obviously, some guests do not treat places as well as their own.

Our apartment was perfectly positioned to see the Tyne and we enjoyed sitting out on the balcony. We were able to leave our bags in reception to collect later in the afternoon

On our arrival, the cleaners spilled out of the lift - one could have done with a shower! It would be helpful to alert people that bus Q3 stops outside and is very useful route

Excellent location with stunning view and good value overall. Very clean. Comfortable beds. Heating in each room is fully under your own control. Plenty of (very) hot water.

The property lacked a little in basic maintenance and kitchen items. Some of the ceiling lights were not working making some areas very dim and the shower head was partly broken in the en-suite. The front door lock tumbler was loose and just spinning. There was a lack of cutlery and crockery but just enough for three of us to get by. The decor and furnishings are plain and have the feel of a student flat rather than a 'dream apartment'. The lounge area in particular wasn't very cosy or comfortable but if you're heading out into town that isn't a big issue.

Ideal location. Great price for the quality. Friendly staff. Modern. Comfy beds. Well equipped apartment. Seemed well sound proofed as we didn’t hear any other guests at all despite seeing people coming & going throughout the weekend.

The coffee table was pretty dusty when we arrived so I don’t think it had been cleaned prior to us getting there. Slight smell of smoke in the living area but quickly passed once we opened the windows. Neither really an issue but just a couple of things I noticed.

I liked the location and the flexibility the apartment showed us in terms of giving us an extra bed. I think the apartment probably needs a bit of TLC (lick of paint) but it was fine for us. Would come back again to the same apartment

If we are being picky the apartments could do with a lick of paint. In the main though the fridge worked the beds were clean so we were not too bothered by it

The apartment gave very good value for the money, since it was very cheap compared to the size, view and location. Huge with two bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a quite large living room. In addition there was a small roof terrace with a spectacular view over the city, river bridges and sunset. Very close to the river front, and a short walk to the Baltic museum over the iconic bridge. It was also nice with a staffed reception, where we could store luggage at our early arrival, and the staff was very helpful both answering questions before arrival and when we arrived and left

Probably this is why it was so cheap: Some of the furniture were worn-down, the kitchen was very minimally equipped, e.g. only with a small completely worn-down pan, only two wine glasses, few tools, etc. The water heating boiler leaked, so the carpet was wet in the hall, which gave you wet socks when entering the Livingroom (we put a towel on the floor to avoid it). They should get a plumber fixing this, since they may get construction damage in the long term (my wife and I are Civil Engineers, so we notice these details,...). The shower head in the bathroom could not be placed high since the fixing did not work.

Ideally located for participation in Great North 5K and Great North Run. Also easily accessible to the city centre.

Unfortunately there was a continual smell of refuse in the corridor accessing our ground floor room (#1). We do not think that there was enough equipment in the kitchen to take the option of full self-catering.

Really spacious and very clean facility. Excellent neighbouhood and you can walk around and not spend too much on transportation. All we needed in our room were available, except a blender! The tea tray provided to start off, even though basic, was really appreciated.

We met the freezer compartment of the fridge full of ice. It froze so much that the ice was falling out. I think the freezer door needs some fixing...maybe that's why so much ice was forming. But then it seemed that the fridge wasn't working too well either because of the ice formation. The drainage in the shower of the ensuite room wasn't working well. There seemed to be a blockage. The window blind in the sitting room was bad. It was drawn half way and the cable to draw it was lying by the window. We couldn't shut the blind at night nor open it more during the day for ventilation while cooking. This needs fixing asap!
