The room was Clean. The bed was very confortable. The little kitchenette allowed us to store Dairy products and fruit. There was a kitchen and laundry on the main floor. Although no air conditioning, we were able to open a window and had a fan. The bathroom was small but adequate. Locations is perfect. We accessed the Metro, bus, and could walk to local food venues and shops. We will book this hotel again.

Didn't buy breakfast, I decided to cook my own in one of the two excellent kitchens provided for guests as I had to leave early. The en-suite room was big, comfortable and clean with everything provided such as towels, kettle, fridge, hair dryer, iron, tv etc. Location was great with plenty of bars and shop close by. Transport into city by bus was easy, bus stop outside the hotel, taxis readily available too. Staff were excellent and had our room ready early. Food throught the day, delicious. There was three parking space available when we arrived so parking was easy. Definitely will be staying again!

We may have been lucky to get parked so maybe more parking would be great. Little things like a leaky/loose tap, broken window latch etc not ideal but didn't spoil our stay.

Convenient location in heart of Jesmond. Plenty of local amenities and easy access to city centre. Rooms are big, comfortable and have everything you need. Some rooms have baths and some shower rooms but I particularly like the rooms with the bath.

My only slight thing would be not having coffee in the rooms. Very minor though I’ve stayed many times now and will continue to look for the New George first whenever I am back in the area.

The hotel was in a great location, nice big room and a great price. There was a lovely little bar called the jam jar downstairs (which isn't part of the hotel) that does nice food and drinks at a great price. This hotel was far better than I was expecting with the price

Only a couple of minor things that could have made the place better, it's a self check in and if you check in before 4 you have to go through the back and we couldn't get the code given to work but that's possibly user error. The room looked like it could have done with a bit more cleaning as the skirting boards were a bit grubby. This didn't cause us any issues and we were very pleased with the place overall

The rooms are nice and big, comfy beds and very clean. The small kitchen areas also are really handy if you're staying for a few days. It's also really easy to check in as you get sent the details to a lockbox in the pub below.

If you want to go to bed early it can be a little noisy if you are on the side of the building that faces the road as this is above a pub that the students use. I've had no issues after 11pm though.

Another apartment had cancelled my stay after i had driven 2hrs to newcastle. i found this place as a last minute alternative. the room was ready straight away and were so accommodating. i was messaged tons of information which made the stay really easy after a stressful situation with the other place. lovley bar downstairs. everyone i spoke to was extremely helpful. will be staying again.

AMAZING food, resonably priced and very tasty, had the burger and my partner had quesadilla from jam jar was lush, rooms clean comfy and well ventilated, tv had Netflix and bathroom had a bath so all good, very easy to check in and out and very easy to find

Didn’t bother us but oz road is about noisy sometimes, just something to consider on Thursday- Sunday nights, honestly though lovely hotel

The room was nice and spacious and very clean and the bed was very comfy, the facility's were great, we had a fridge and a microwave which was perfect for our stay and the shower had plenty of room and the water power was excellent.

Didn't realise that it was online check in and there wasn't staff at the desk, but that was on me and someone helped us as soon as they realized we didn't know what to do, so really there was nothing bad hahahah

Booked at very short notice and was so hapoy with our fund. Spacious, Room 19, own kitchenette, & shower room, despite being on main street, was quiet. Really comfortable bed. Beam in room which was a lovely feature. Parking available

Could smell food from kitchen at times, closing windows and using fan provided sorted this

Excellent value for money! Private bathroom that’s lovely with bath! Good kitchenette. Velvet curtains. Fan, good furniture, and more!

slight sewage smell in bathroom no matter how much I flush, and in hall…and bedside lights didn’t work
