Exquisite bespoke retreat. Peter's interior design talent shines through, his attention to detail, stylish clever choice of colour.The moment you step into the lovely conservatory filled with interesting plants you feel at home. This seamlessly blends with the tranquil English country garden filled with soothing layers, to rest your eyes upon. We ate our mid- summer breakfast cocooned amongst the plants, sun on our faces the sound of the pond and scent of the June roses setting us up for the day. The breakfast is indulgent , sheer quality with a great selection to suit any taste . I had a freshly prepared fruit salad with yogurt followed by eggs Florentine. Not forgetting the sourdough with lashings of David's homemade rhubarb and ginger jam. My well travelled husband commenting that this was the best Full English ever. Attention to detail is boundless , the crockery ( beautiful 🫖 teapots) the bedrooms , bedlinen and towels are immaculate with a comfortable matress for a restful nights sleep. Most of all our hosts were kind, attentive and witty. Peter even patiently listened whilst my husband nervously practised his " father of the bride speech" giving moral support when needed Superb value considering the quality of the ingredients used to create such a bespoke breakfast experience. Highly recommended.

We loved every minute

From the moment we arrived we felt exceptionally welcome. Tea served in the beautiful garden upon arrival was exactly what we needed after a long day out and about. Our room was lovely and airy and spotlessly clean, with everything we could have needed - plenty of tea/coffee and even hot chocolate! The push for sustainability was very much noted, and carried out in an excellent manner - fresh water in stylish decanters instead of plastic bottles, wonderful! Very comfy bed, and a lovely quiet night. Breakfast was absolutely delicious, and we felt rather special sat in the conservatory to eat. Peter is a fantastic host, thank you so much! We will be sure to check availability next time we are at Goodwood.

It was a beautiful property decorated to a very high standard and filled with lovely pieces that had clearly been chosen with care and gathered over time. It was immaculate with everything you could need. The hosts Peter and David could not have been nicer. Very welcoming and helpful with great recommendations of places to visit and dine. There was nothing we didn’t like

The Old School is just a super place. It is spotlessly clean and superbly maintained, beautifully decorated and finished and very comfortable. The hosts are very welcoming and helpful and the breakfast very good. Unfortunately it was raining when I stayed but the garden looked very pleasant. The rooms are very well supplied and the bed was very comfortable. Highly recommended.

We loved the luxurious feel of the property, with carefully chosen furniture in keeping with the property. We loved the sitting area with the log burner, it was a lovely place to chill with a glass of wine in the evening after walking during the day. The attention to detail was very much appreciated, for example the cafetiere in the room with fresh coffee & fresh milk and luxurious cotton bedding and towels. The breakfast was generous and delicious. The hosts were friendly and keen to make our stay exceptional, without being intrusive.

Exceptional b&b with very friendly and helpful hosts. The accommodation showed an attention to detail like a small fridge and during hot summer conditions a fan in the room. The garden was well landscaped with seating areas Breakfast was another strong feature having great options available and the quality was excellent.

Breakfast was fab, the choice was great and well cooked by the chef. our room was comfortable and had everything that we needed for an overnight stay. Our hosts were interesting to chat to and the coffee and biscuits when we arrived were very welcome.

Everything at The Old School B&B is perfect. The whole place is wonderfully looked after you feel right at home. Our hosts were so incredibly friendly and accommodating. The rooms are immaculately clean, so well equipped and cosy and the wider facilities like the sitting room and dining room are just as lovely. The food was amazing - would fully recommend for anyone staying in the area!

A gem of a place, Peter and David are the friendliest of hosts and their house and the room that we were staying in (Milligan Room) are beautifully decorated with attention to the smallest details. Lovely garden with many places to sit. Superb breakfast, delicious plenty of choice covers all tastes. Will return soon.

Nothing

The breakfast was fantastic and value for money, perfect portions and perfectly cooked. They also use all local produce and we could eat in the garden or dining room. We received a very warm welcome from Peter, he explained everything clearly and was very knowledgeable about the area. The whole stay was very relaxing, we arrived as guests and left as friends, we will be staying again.

There was nothing tha i didn't like because everything was absolutely fabulous, clean, comfortable and picturesque. Have your morning coffee by the pond and watch the fish.
