I had booked the hotel as it was close to where my brother lives and we were in Glasgow to celebrate his 70th birthday. We didn't know what to expect but we were delighted with the whole experience. Staff were lovely and friendly. The room was really lovely, a good size and an extremely comfortable bed. Bathroom was lovely, plenty of space and a great shower. All facilities excellent. There were tea/coffee making facilities/biscuits/snacks but we didn't get time to enjoy them! Everything was spotlessly clean. We also had a delicious breakfast with great choices, not the usual buffet style. There was a menu.. Also cereal, fruit juice and croissants. We would have liked some fresh fruit but that did not diminish the overall experience. Full Scottish breakfast was delicious and piping hot. Staff here again were lovely, pleasant and friendly.

There was absolutely nothing we didn't like

Location was perfect as we attended a wedding here. The staff here make it exceptional, especially Lorraine. She went the extra mile to ensure we had a good stay. She gave up her time to talk yo us about the hotel, give us a little tour and was very kind. The food in the restaurant was top class and the selection of cocktails was super. Robin serving us was patient, professional and lovely to deal with. The garden is a secret gem and is so well maintained.

The room was smaller than expected, but the quality and use of space was designed well.

The bed was very comfortable and the facilities in the room were satisfactory. I had a nice dinner in the hotel with my cousin and the staff did not try to rush us. There was a good selection of hot and cold items on the breakfast buffet.

The size of the room was fine for me as I was solo but I wonder how a couple would have coped. The bathroom door only closed half way across and was the same door as that of the wardrobe (it was also very heavy). The room doors were heavy too and I was woken about three in the morning by my neighbours door slamming. It would have been nice to have warmer plates for the hot breakfast buffet.

The red hurst was exceptional, clean friendly beautiful and quiet for a good nights sleep

2 things let it down, breakfast included wasn’t great it was a croissant cereal or toast if we wanted beans or anything it would cost and extra £8. I booked this hotel as it stated close to Hampden Park £40 taxi isn’t close at all

Good location for the Reeling festival, very friendly staff, nice decor, late bar

Poor bedside reading light in room. Breakfast could have had more fresh fruit, yoghurt & muesli. Single mattresses to make big double - one was a bit soft & the gap was uncomfortable. Quite expensive overall.

We chose a hotel in the suburbs in order to visit Glasgow city centre, so were happy with the 5-minute walk to Williamwood station. Enjoyed a modern and clean hotel with an excellent restaurant. Breakfast and dinner were very good and we would gladly return in the future. Of four hotels on our Scottish tour this was the best value for money.

The room was slightly small so difficult to stow suitcases for two and find space for the many cushions provided on the bed. A minor criticism in an otherwise excellent hotel.

The location was good for us visiting with family. The hotel was bright and clean and there was a pleasant smell in the corridors, good use of diffusers.

Disappointed that there was no lift. Difficulty with stairs due to recent knee surgery. I was not aware there was no lift when I booked.

Accommodation was clean and comfortable, the room was perfect for our needs, and the staff were very nice.

Car park - there was no space to park due to a wedding reception being held at the hotel, but we were able to get parked later in the evening once some of the guests had left.

When we arrrived, the room was a double and it needed to be a twin. Reception gave us an additional room for the night, so they could change the room the next day to a twin for the remaining 3 days of our stay.

The bar closing at 10.15 to 10.30 Monday to Thursday!!! Unbelievable. Not good enough for a hotel if this standard. At least stay open til 11, if not later for residents.

the food was amazing and the staff were so accommodating with every aspect of my stay. special shout out to Robyn, and Sam who were on in the evening.

change the sourdough bread to a seeded bread on the breakfast. This is only a personal option though and not reflective of the food quality which was outstanding, both evening and morning.
