First time staying in this hotel, it is a Spectacular hotel from start to finish, all the staff on reception, Michael's bar and bistro, the reception for the swimming pool and thought out the entire hotel are very polite, friendly and welcoming, outstanding service from everyone. I purchased the romance package, banners and balloons for our anniversary, it was ready in the room when we checked in, even got a little finishing touch from the reception, they got us an anniversary card which was lovely, stayed in a deluxe room, the room is fantastic, comfy bed, very clean, spacious, bath and shower, had everything you need, you can use all the facilities, swimming pool and spa, gym, sports etc for free, very clean, excellent swimming pool and spa. Michael's bar and bistro has excellent food, definitely award winning, everything fresh, cooked perfectly, definitely worth the money. Staff are very attentive. Overall a fantastic experience, will 100% stay here again and would highly recommend.

The room was fab. I had requested a low floor room with a bath and my requests were honoured. It was very spacious and well facilitated. A guide was provided within the room detailing all of the contact numbers for room service plus a list of local shops and attractions which was very handy. The bed was super comfy and the bathroom facilities were excellent. Never been in such a deep bath before. The reception staff were some of the nicest I've encountered on my travels. The lady manning the reception overnight on both nights of my trip went above and beyond, just wish I'd caught her name.
Nothing really. Couple of stains on the carpet but otherwise, everything was perfect.

The bedrooms were lovely and big in size it was great having access to the spa facilities as well, they have a restaurant within the hotel called Michael’s, me and my partner went to this and it was lovely reasonably priced pretty much same prices of food if you had to go out into Glasgow for a meal, the staff were great and all seemed friendly enough but would like to point out about the receptionist who was on shift when we arrived I apologise I don’t remember her name but she was great it was my birthday whilst we were there and she gave me a birthday card and was one of the first people to wish me a happy birthday in the morning whilst we were having breakfast so that made my day so thank you for that
The only thing that let it down for myself and my partner was the fact in our room there was a door that leads into the bedroom next door granted it was locked so if there was anyone in the room beside us they couldn’t get in we just felt a little uncomfortable with this and it made the room feel less sound proof as we could hear the people beside us even having a conversation if we didn’t have our tv on and one of the top reasons I liked the idea of the spa facilities was the fact they had hot stone beds when we went they were out of order which was a little disappointing, apart from the door in the bedroom and the hot stone beds we had an amazing time and would definitely be back

I have stayed in Parklands a few times now and I cannot fault it .The service is second to none ,the staff a very friendly and attentive shows good management. The hotel it's self is decorated to a lovely standard and really good facilities, house keeping is exceptional to a high standard ..The food in the restaurant is delicious and a good range on the menu .I look forward to my next visit .For anyone who likes shopping there is a small shopping centre close by in the town also a five minute walks brings you into a beautiful country park with lovely walks .I come here for respite and I always leave refreshed and happy and I would definitely recommend a stay here .

Lovely large room. Very comfortable bed. Nice spacious bathroom with nice amenities
The breakfast was disappointing. Seemed quite expensive for what I ended up having. If I had realised it wasn't going to be a buffet I probably wouldn't have opted for it as I had to order something from the menu without seeing it. I usually like to have a little bit of a few different things. Instead, I ended up with a bacon roll with one and a half pieces of bacon in it and one cup of tea (not even a pot), there was not a selection of pastries as advertised. There were two croissants left over of which I had one and I didn't see them replenished. so all in all I didn't think it was very good value for money

I booked in advance a birthday package as I was celebrating my husbands 30th. They left a birthday card on top of this which was a lovely touch.
I wasn’t notified in advance about the recent fire, we weren’t able to access and use the spa facilities on arrival. However we used it the following day and they had extended the checkout to 3pm, although we left before 11am. We dined in the restaurant, the food was lovely but we waited around 20-30 minutes for our drinks, we had ordered food and ate our starters before receiving our drinks. We were then told by the waiter sorry for your wait the staff didn’t know how to make cocktails.

Loved the spa/ pool facilities . Loved the spacious room and large bathroom. Food and drinks were excellent . Staff in restaurant and spa were excellent , attentive , friendly and helpful. Room service for breakfast, was amazing. The 2nd Receptionist who was friendly and helpful .
We arrived earlier than check in time and thought the receptionist was not very welcoming as our first port of call. We enquired about using the spa till our room was ready and she told us we would have to pay £12.50 each , but it would be complimentary when it was check in and until check out , which is maybe The parklands policy , but in all the hotels we have stayed in , that has NEVER been the case ?? She could have been a bit more pleasant and friendly . We had booked the overnight stay as it was my birthday on 23rd , we were also leaving sharp as we had a funeral . So had to cram , afternoon tea, spa facilities , dinner and drinks and relax in the room into a few hours .

Welcoming staff at reception. Room size is great, large bathroom too. Comfortable bed. Tree view. Window that opens wide for fresh air. Fire in the restaurant.
Not dislikes but small improvements that would make a difference: no bath mat, no dressing gown or slippers, no water available in the room (although they will bring you a bottle of tap water), no minibar, no herbal tea bags. A side note: the pool and heath suite is at the hotel but you have to go through the restaurant to get there, so be fully dressed, undressed and dressed again to use it. (Unlike other hotels where you can go down in the elevator in your gown for example)

The accessible room was fantastic. Beautiful big room. The bed was extremely comfortable and the table and chairs beside the window were lovely to sit and have tea, coffees & hot chocolate which were provided. The accessible bathroom/wetroom was perfect for me.
Unfortunately the snow was heavy and the car park was a carpet of snow. My partner couldn’t get his car up the hill to the main car park due to the snow. He parked in the leisure car park in the first space he could get the car parked in. I can walk short distance using my crutch and the path to the leisure club had been cleared so I was able to get in to the hotel using the leisure facilities door. He did have to carry my wheelchair up and down steps to go through the restaurant to the main hotel reception. I appreciate this was just unfortunate due to the snow.

Very impressed with the room - large and with a very large bathroom, felt expensively decorated and in very good condition.
I only had breakgast in the hotel but going from the reception area through a door into the bar/restaurant felt like going into a completely different establishment. This genuinely 4-star hotel seems to have a 1-star restaurant area, poorly decorated and in a fairly worn-out condition. The breakfast itself was okay but nothing great and the experience wasn't helped by the loud music playing.
