Welcome was friendly & efficient. No help offered to lug cases out of reception, along gravel & into building housing our upstairs room Room was clean and spacious with nice bathroom & great shower. Evening meal pricey but very good. Service was very friendly, but slightly haphazard, & overly casual considering the high standards evident elsewhere. Breakfast was outstanding. The waitress was excellent. Welcoming, efficient & genuinely friendly. The food was first class. Overall, a really nice hotel which we may book again if arriving late in the day at Glasgow airport.
The hotel seems mostly geared up to provide top end wedding receptions. Consequently, there was a shortage of post dinner comfortable seating arrangements for residents. As the hotel was quiet, we relaxed on a couch in the reception area. The fire smoke/alarm sounded as we sat in reception area after our meal. The cause turned out to be a overly fired jalapeño in the kitchen! The staff quickly cancelled the alarm & told us not to worry. There was no tannoy advising the rest of the building, however. This led to a number of bewildered guests arriving at reception asking what was going on.

Excellent location we where flying from Glasgow Airport next day wonderful start to our family holiday room was lovely beds comfy very friendly staff enjoyed an excellent evening meal, drinks on the terrace a Tunocks tea cake in the room and a quality Scottish breakfast what’s not to like would definitely stay again or at any of the sister hotels.
The hotel is obviously a popular wedding venue a couple of the guests where quite noisy arguing late on out side hotel (waiting for taxi) not for long and 100% totally not the hotels fault didn’t spoil anything but remiss not to mention

The room was excellent. Only one issue- there was a wonderful bath with jets. I couldn’t use it because the water temperature wasn’t hot enough. I found this issue quite frustrating.
The breakfast was limited. There was very little option for a healthy one. Toast or bread was only supplied on request. Tea and coffee is served in flasks. It was very stewed and the tea was only like warm on one of the mornings. This could easily be improved ! A continental breakfast option would good. Possibly a choice of Scottish bread with some cheeses. Not everyone want a grilled breakfast each morning. It’s just not healthy.

Everything . The staff are outstanding and couldn’t do enough for us. Nothing was too much trouble . There are too many to mention , and every single member of staff deserve top marks . Annie , Caitlin , Gemma , Ryan , Jordan , Sam , Debbie, Chris, Reagan , Connor , Cameron .. apologies if we’ve missed anyone . All the kitchen staff who accommodated our very late dining requests and kept us going throughout our week long stay whilst we renovate our new home . Our beautifully furnished and pristine clean rooms . Extremely comfortable bed and everything catered for … we stayed a week and it felt like home . Thanks everyone . Manor View are very lucky to have you as a team . You’re all stars . Carole &Richie

I was given a lovely welcome on arrival by Debbie and she was extremely helpful. She told me everything I needed to know about my stay. She was very helpful in arranging a taxi for me the following morning. I think that she is a great member of staff and a huge asset to the business. I found the food served very good
This is a fussy comment and I am award of that, I found the pillow in my room very hard and uncomfortable (gave me a headache). I would have preferred a softer option but all four pillows were the same. I wanted the veggie breakfast but unfortunately a few items were unavailable. I also found the breakfast room extremely cold on the 2nd morning and it smelt of smoke from the fire.

The hotel and grounds are beautiful and picturesque. The gardens are very well manicured. It's a very good base to explore Scotland, being close to rail and bus services. The staff are really attentive and polite. The room we were in had beautiful high ceilings and stone walls. The entrance to our room was also stunning. We would reccomend and stay there again!
The chairs in the foyer of where room 4 is attracted guests to sit talking late, the foyer made their voices travel. On one occasion, some guests sat talking loudly over 2 hours until past 9pm. Obviously, nothing can really be said at that time so we had to endure it. It was clear the bedding and towels were of a high standard, however the duvet covers were worn and past their best.

The room was larger than I expected and well laid out/equipped. The furnishing of the rooms and social areas in the hotel was relatively new and to a high standard. Breakfast and dinner were well presented and tasty although unfortunately not what I ordered as a result of my late arrival.
Although the room was well sound proofed from noise in adjacent rooms and the corridor, a large gathering in the ballroom did generate significant sound that went on beyond a reasonable bedtime hour.

The room we were in was quite spacious and well laid out. The breakfast was a self serve buffet style and was excellent. I was attending a wedding and the food at the wedding was superb.
It might seem trivial but is the only reason a 10 score not awarded. The location of the ensuite toilet in my room (15). It is so close to the wall and the toilet paper hanger is right next to it. You needed to be a contortionist to sit on the loo.

The room was perfect - spacious, clean and with everything we needed. The huge bathroom was fantastic! The staff were all friendly and helpful (particularly the receptionist - Debbie I think) and made our stay really special. We had our evening meal in the restaurant and the food was excellent. There was a wedding on when we arrived and we managed to catch a glimpse of the reception room which looked gorgeous!
Being on a flight path it could be rather noisy when sitting outside for drinks, but we quickly got used to it and were able to ignore it.

The room was lovely, we looked out over the garden, with windows on both sides of our rooms, beautiful. The shower's water pressure was incredible! It was such a unique and beautiful facility. The restaurant was great as well, good food for dinner, our server was so incredibly pleasant and attentive. The plated breakfast was great on the 1st morning.
There was a buffet breakfast on the 2nd morning that could have been better. The staff on that day didn't seem to be too on top of things to keep things like the coffee pot or juices filled and an order of poached eggs took a bit longer than seemed reasonable given that we were almost done with all the other food by the time the eggs came out.
