Everything was perfect. We're getting married at the Bowfield in August and this was an insight for us before the real deal! Honestly, it made us so excited for the big day and the lodges were so comfy and private. The food in the Bowfield is exceptional. Staff gave us recommendations and they were spot on. Megan on reception is an absolute gem, such a lovely lady and we were made to feel special and welcome by all staff. Thank you so much for making Podi's birthday weekend fabulous. Ben Macdui Lodge was a little slice of heaven. We can't wait for August! Xx

The fact we had to leave!

Room was great, staff couldn’t have done more to help, very welcoming and polite people, facilities were great, everywhere was clean and tidy, breakfast was fabulous.

One issue we had was it being noisy at night with guests slamming doors and making noise in the hallway but that isn’t the fault of the hotel in anyway. Another issue was the tv, No apps would work and even the standard channels would buffer and the remote barely worked, certain buttons wouldn’t work and even the ones that did there was a significant delay.

Very comfortable and clean. The staff were excellent and very helpful. The facilities were very good. The food in the restaurant was very good.

The room did not have any tissues or water. It was only cleaned every two days which meant that we ran out of milk and biscuits. We did not mind that the room was not cleaned every day but at least the supplies could have been topped up. For the first day we had a cooked breakfast from the menu and it was very good. However for the next three days of our stay it was a fairly average buffet. Or you did not want hot food there was little choice. There could at least have had a selection of cold meat and cheese.

The price we paid to go into the spa facilities. £20 each person was a little high, especially after paying for our own treatments. Our meal had to go back and I really, really didn’t like to complain or ever send anything back to a kitchen. It got rectified straight away and Michael was very helpful afterwards. The shower was leaking and our garden lights didn’t work. So nothing too drastic. Just little things.

Great family break. Lodges were lovely and had everything needed. Facilities were great for children. Only 1 receptionist on so had waits to check in/out as wedding parties were needing help with setting up. Would have been ideal for them to have two on the desk or a dedicated wedding host. Food in the cafe was nice but main restaurant was a bit of a disappointment for evening meal. Overall it was a great stay and would definitely book again to return.

The pool and health suite facilities were very clean and tidy. Great, modern, peaceful. All employees - Megan, Calum, Andrew, Kirstin in particular - were very pleasant, accomodating and put effort into ensuring that we had a great stay. They arranged a shuttle for us, there and back, when our taxis were cancelled because of the snow. The food in The Plumpy Duck was lovely - quality ingredients, varied menu, well cooked and presented.

Loved the facilities and that hotel guests could use without restriction that was fab. Spa was amazing and loved the hydropool 😀 breakfast was lovely and good choice of food, snacks etc for other meals. Staff were all very welcoming and helpful.

Nothing really. Only thing was the snacks in the room were a little pricey & pretty hard to resist! It was a nice touch though given there is nothing in walking distance of the hotel.

Facilities were lovely, there were some childrens floats and noddles provided in the pool when we arrived. The soft play was well tended to, clean and the staff were very friendly. We were able to order from the restaurant in the evening and eat in the soft play allowing our 2yo to enjoy it and allowing for a stress free dining experience. Our breakfast was delicious, 5 star dining. The rooms were clean and large. Pillows comfortable and bedding very good quality.

There was a broken panel under the sink in the bathroom, my 10month old had just learned to crawl and was at a dangerous height for her. It was loose and hanging off. The TV in the children's bed area did not work.

Hotel and Facilities are Good, Dinner was very good

Breakfast - Ordered Smashed Avocado Toast Poached Eggs... Toast was cold, avocado was blended (not smashed) it was about 1/2" thick, it was chilled (clearly had just come from the fridge, the eggs were cold with a hard yolk... just spoilt the while experience..... and not what was expected..

We were staying for a friends big birthday celebrations in the hotel. Dinner and breakfast was lovely. Staff in the restaurant were lovely, attentive and very helpful.

Our friends stayed in the lodges. We had booked into the hotel. Clearly all money has been injected into the lodges. The rooms could be doing with the same upgrade.
