The hotel was absolutely fabulous, beautifully furnished with lovely facilities. The staff are professional, courteous and thoughtful. The room was spacious and the beds were very comfortable and the shower was awesome. Dinner was wonderful with a big select of fantastic dishes and a good wine list at reasonable prices. Our meals were superb and I was very impressed with hot plates. The restaurant staff were professional and friendly. Cooked to order full Scottish breakfast was divine and the breakfast shift staff were absolutely lovely and thoughtful. I will definitely stay here again.

Upon arrival the property was very striking. Parking was good. The property had lovely grounds you could walk in. The room was absolutely beautiful. We were there for my partners birthday so our room was upgraded free of charge which was such a kind gesture. Staff were friendly and helpful, the hotel overall was beautiful. Breakfast was incredible we really enjoyed breakfast.

The carpets were quite worn and the stairs creaked on pretty much every step. I suppose that’s to be expected of a property at this age but that would be the only other feedback. Everything else absolutely exceeded our expectations.

Hotel is lovely stayed for 1 night as an overnight with my fiancee. We had a meal at orchid restaurant and it was fantastic couldn’t fault it. Staff couldn’t have been more friendly as well.

Only one issue was there was wedding on and we were woken up by the extremely loud wedding party outside our room at 1am who were banging doors and shouting (including ours for some reason). We had woke up suddenly and they were at it for at least an hour. Walls/doors are obviously quite thin! Not sure if staff were aware as was not ideal. Room was also incredibly humid and no air con etc ventilation

Best hotel room pillows in a long time, really comfortable. Food great at breakfast and dinner, didn't eat lunch at the hotel. Terraced area to lawn was really tranquil. With one exception, staff couldn't have been more friendly and helpful.

My room was above the outside deliveries route, noisy trollies / cages before 6am that woke me. Adjacent town doesn't offer alternative dining options - but that's not a negative for the hotel - so a car is needed if you want to explore other dining options.

The location was ideal for my visit, in a quiet neighbourhood, with a large free car park and a welcome at reception. The standard room was of a decent size, immaculately clean with a nice en-suite bath & shower. The bed was very comfy and the room temperature was perfectly controlled with free wifi and plenty of charging points. I booked for room and breakfast, and when I had dinner in the hotel they charged only for the glass of wine, on account of the fact that the steaks were not available - very generous of them. The chicken dish I had instead was excellent, and the restaurant with round tables and banquette seating was a pleasure to dine in. I was very happy with my one-night stay and would thoroughly recommend this hotel.

Nothing serious to impact my enjoyment - the view from the window was nothing special - just a rooftop, but not a problem for me.

The room was clean and bed and pillows comfy. Water pressure and temp was great in tub and shower. Enjoyed soaker tub after long days of travel. The towels are soft and as big as a blanket! Room service was available so we could relax in the room. Check out was 11 which was relatively later than we are used to which was nice.

Had to make reservations for dinner and wait was nearly an hour and half without them. Had to ask twice for ice and nobody answers reception the first five times you call down. They say to just keep calling until someone answers but it was annoying. We went down in person and same thing--ring bell and wait. The room was on the smallish size. Ok for the 2 of us for a night or two but any longer and I would recommend upgrading to a suite.

It was a quick booking.we were amazed at what appeared when we drove up. We enjoyed the place and the staff we stayed two nights. We were helped to our large room with a view. The price is very reasonable. The dinners were excellent as was the choice of breakfast. The staff were exceptional and friendly. We enjoyed walking around the garden. There is a lot of parking. I hope I have the opportunity to stay again A great experience.

Our room was modern, spacious and comfortable. Parking was ample and free, Staff courteous and the housekeeping wonderful. No lift as it is an older building but the young man on reception immediately offered to carry our cases up to our room. It is a popular wedding venue and although there was a wedding on our last night we were not troubled by that at all

I do feel that at the price we paid per night that the one small bottle of bath/shower gel for the 2 of us supplied could have been restocked on subsequent days. Breakfast was in the lovely restaurant but it does need some attention, tea & coffee great but the buffet section was poor in terms of choice and quality, we had the cooked breakfast but it had been cooked earlier and reheated, the poached eggs were badly undercooked, mushrooms and potato scone appeared to have been put in deep fat fryer to reheat. If breakfast was improved the stay would be perfect

Lovely location, well maintained property and grounds. Exceptionally clean - lovely 'scottish' toiletries. Comfortable room - well equipped - couldn't ask for anything more. Staff all very helpful and welcoming.

My room looked onto the restaurant roof and the AC vent droned. You couldn't hear this with the windows closed and fortunately there was a little fan in the room. At the price paid and because I was out at work both days, it wasn't a big deal but if the weather had been any warmer it would have been rather a hot room.

Our first stay at Dalmeny Park, stop off on our way to highlands. Staff were extremely pleasant and welcoming. Rooms were very clean comfy and to a good standard. Lovely shower. A very nice setting peaceful and plenty of parking. We only had breakfast and that was fabulous. Again the staff were very polite and welcoming, happy to have a little chat which was nice.Very good value. We look forward to returning on our next trip to scotalnd
