The staff at this hotel are amazing, super accommodating and friendly. The custom service really is second to none. The breakfast was fabulous, so much choice. Sunday lunch in the restaurant was excellent value for two courses. The room size was just right, plenty of space for storing everything. Water pressure and temperature were excellent. Such a peaceful location. Enjoyed the spa facilities and a swim in the pool. For the price we paid for two rooms it was amazing value and we have no complaints at all.

I think previous reviews are fairly harsh regarding this hotel. Yes it’s in need of an uplift here and there, but at the price we paid it would be unfair to make any negative remarks. Nothing would put us of returning in the future, in fact we would look forward to it. Thanks to all the staff for making the stay so enjoyable.

The location was good. Really nice that it was out in the countryside, but at the same time, easy to get to via main roads.

We like to select hotels that have a gym. When we looked at the hotel before booking, there were very few pictures of the gym (maybe just 1 or 2) so it was hard to assess. The swimming pool and it's surrounding facilities were good, but the gym was a bit run down and could do with upgrading a bit. Having a good gym is important to some visitors (such as us!), and can make the difference between booking and not booking.

Staff were really friendly. Dinner was of a great standard. Breakfast was great. Lovely little spa hotel which looks like it does some fab events over the year. Afternoon tea was cute.

'deluxe' room wasn't...well exactly 'deluxe'. Room was clean...but dated. Shower absolutely scalded us as it was stuck on the hottest setting! Fire alarm went off at one point! False alarm... which could potentially have been caused by our hot steamy shower! 🤣 Lift broke after the fire alarm... although we didn't need to use it, people who did might have been inconvenienced. Afternoon tea was cute and a nice treat. All in all it made a nice little getaway.

The bed was comfortable, the bathroom was good, with an easy-to-use shower. The breakfast was very good and the meal in the bar was delicious.

We felt very exposed in the room during daylight as the window had no blind or net curtain (it was on the ground floor and faced onto an untidy area used as extra parking) We felt we had to keep the curtains drawn. After booking I was bombarded with emails advising me I needed to book a table for dinner in the restaurant. We were staying on a Sunday night when the restaurant is closed! I was also asked to check in online which didn’t work and obviously wasn’t necessary.

Location. Lovely Reception staff. Swimming pool facilities - had great time using these facilities. Bar food tasty - didn't try restaurant. Large triple rooms and comfy beds. Plentiful breakfast. Communal 'library' area very pleasant. Very clean, Second visit here and would stay again. Stayed here as a midway point for two lots of family to meet up. Overall, a very satisfactory stopover 👍

One of the two triple rooms seemed a bit bare and cheerless but that improved in the evening with sympathetic lighting. Originally I booked a twin bedded room but this was changed to a triple. Not sure why, but for one night that was not an issue.

The hotel was lovely, very friendly welcoming staff , spacious hotel room very clean with a very comfy bed , pool facilities were great nice pool jacuzzi and steam rooms , cannot vouch for the spa treatments as we didn't have any

Everything was perfect but a couple of things that may need attention , the plastic slot panels around the jacuzzi are very lose/ broken and kept coming off when the bubbles were activated so will require maintenance as soon as possible as I stood on some sharp broken plastic and hurt my foot The air conditioning and or bathroom fan in our room (701) was quite noisy although me and my partner were absolutely fine with this as we are used to the fan at home it may disturb others and there wasn't any way to turn it off Other than those minor things I cannot recommend this place enough it was lovely

Extremely warm and friendly staff! Facilities are excellent. The food was also very good. The breakfast was excellent. Elsa (waitress).was an absolute delight, and what an asset she is to this hotel. I used the spa facilities, swimming pool, sauna, steam and jacuzzi, lovely addition, and a rare find in a 3* hotel! All clean and no issues. I'm not sure why this hotel has a score of 7.2. It deserves a lot higher. I am a travel agent, and I have stayed in many hotels over the years- This hotel should score more like 8.5 to.9 based on its rating and not compared alongside 5* hotels. It's a lovely place for families, solo, business travellers and couples alike..I imagine it's lovely in the summer with numerous outdoor seating areas and its rural location. This spot is also perfect for family gatherings and celebrations. The management is aware of some tweeks that need attending to such as stair/hallways carpets, and a refurbishment programme is currently underway. Fabulous value for money! I will definitely stay here again as I have family in the area.

Nothing really..if I had to say anything, it would be that a bottle of water and glasses in the room in addition to the tea and coffee facilities would be welcome.

I was there for work - there’s something very refreshing being able to wallow in the pool or sauna to round off the day. Bar is inviting and provides food until 9 or 9:30 - late enough to be able to finish things, swim and still eat. Breakfast was varied, good quality e.g. the hot buffet looked and tasted fresh with fruit, cereals, pastries etc also on offer. Large bedroom with enough space for a laptop in the desk. And a bath as well as a shower. Clean, quiet and comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Corridor lights turn off too soon - trying to find my key for the room the timing gave me what I’d estimate as 30 s of no movement before being plunged into darkness.

It was a very nice room and great value for money. The breakfast was adequate and had all the staples you would expect

I attended the spa, which is free when you reside in the hotel. Its a nice area to relax. You are charged for a towel, which I thought would be given free with the visit. It's not much but it just takes the shine out of the experience. I understand that there is a cost to to launder the towels but it would be nice to know in advance, so that I come prepared

Breakfast was very good, although my croissant wasn't cooked through. However, the food was hot and constantly replenished.

A separate section within the dining room for dogs. I am allergic to dogs, and I am getting tired of having to find a little corner in a room to have a meal or drink in comfort. It's a shame that dogs now how priority over humans! Also, we had to wait nearly an hour for our food in the bar, as the home-made pie had run out and a new one had to be made. No one told us until we spoke to the barman/waiter. This was annoying, aswecould have ordered something else.
