It's set in a beautiful part of the world and a really pleasant village. The staff were amazing - very friendly. The rooms were really clean indeed and freshened each day. You must try the Norfolk Adder cider if you like cider. It's very nice indeed from the draught. Food was fantastic. Freshly cooked and served on hot plates which ch is not something you get everywhere and mak s w difference. I will return for sure whenever I am in the area.

Honestly couldn't fault anything

We have a Border Collie (Luna) that goes everywhere with us. The Windmill is great for her, whilst the carpet may look tired you really don't want you/dog tracking mud into somewhere new and spotless. There is lots of places for nice walks and exercise nearby and the North coast is only 50 mins away. The staff are very friendly and accommodating, Luna is allowed in the bar and one of the dining areas - so it's great for an evening meal and then a walk to the village meadow

WiFi ! It's my only negative, over the back of the pub, rooms 5-7 it's still hit and miss. It's fairly easy to add another router/modem to the rear or even use a WiFi extender - please !

The people, the welcome was very friendly, escorted to our room and explained about access after hours, etc. Went to the bar and had sandwiches and a drink, once again very friendly and the food was delicious. Booked in for an evening meal on Friday, the bar and restuarant was very busy, but the staff remained friendly throughout. Was advised there would be a delay on the food due to the volume of people but we were chatting and weren't affected. Food once again was delicious, delivered hot, tasty and well presented. Also had breakfast 2 mornings, lots of options available and my poached eggs on granary were excellent both mornings.

Room was rather dark and dated and because of the amount of furniture felt a little cluttered. Having to step up and into the bath to have a shower wasn't the best although we were aware of this when booking. Just felt the rooms could have done with a refresh, deep clean, repaint walls and doors etc

The mill is like going home to us! We've been staying for 9 years now and we love it. We are welcomed like family, Matthew, Ben and the team will do anything for you and go out of their way to ensure you have a good stay. The rooms are spacious and clean and the beds are sooooo comfortable it's hard to get up, even for the delicious breakfast. The pub itself is a proper norfolk pub with good beer and friendly locals. The food is proper pub grub (the coleslaw is divine!) and there's always plenty of it, you'll never go hungry at the mill!

There's nothing we don't like! We travel all over the country on our motorbike and we never stay in the same place twice. The olde windmill is the exception to the rule, our 10th stay is already booked for August 😜

The staff and locals were friendly and welcoming. The food was good and the staff were very accommodating with my dietary requirements (being dairy free was not a problem). We couldn't fault the cleanliness of the room and the daily room service was an unexpected bonus. The bed was very comfy and it was nice to see crisp white bed linen and soft white towels, along with complimentary toiletries.

My only minor negative was the decor was a bit dated (personal opinion) and the paintwork could do with a refresh. However, this said it didn't take away from a good stay.

Very friendly and helpful staff, in a very rural inn in Norfolk, situated in the very tiny hamlet of Great Cressingham. I was allocated a spacious ground floor room (room 6) with an en-suite bathroom with a bathtub (with shower over). Everything was operational (apart from a light bulb over the tea/coffee making facilities). The general lighting in the room was good, and had plenty of comfortable seating. The breakfast (English Club Breakfast, among others) included in their B&B rate, was a bit sparse, but everything was served to your table, which was an unusual treat. Conversely, the bar/restaurant menus offered a good choice, but the quantities were far too large, and would deter me from eating there again, as I object to food waste and gluttony. Plenty of free parking to the front and rear, and better to use the rear parking if staying at the inn. The room and en-suite had very adequate heating. Overall, a good experience.

The carpet in room 6 was very marked, and needed a thorough clean or replacement. Some of the furnishings, like light shades, were shabby. The extractor fan in the bathroom was excessively noisy, but could be turned off. No fresh fruit was offered at breakfast, but if you asked for a banana, they did have some. The only fish offered at breakfast were kippers, but sadly no other fish options were offered. There was some evidence of black mould around the bath. The value was reasonable, but not great.

From the moment we arrived the staff were pleasant and helpful. The car parks are fantastic and so quiet set amongst the trees. The room was large and well set out plus very clean. When we went to the restaurant which was in a superb conservatory with a lovely outlook. If you like a lot of food this is the place for you, and i would highly recommend the windmill beef Hoagie which i struggled to eat it all (fantastic) The staff are all lovely and could not be more helpful. I would not hesitate to recommend this lovely very quiet restful place. 10/10

I wish we had found this place before

My room was large with a comfortable double bed made from twins so it was huge, desk, 2 chairs and table, set of drawers, wardrobe , so loads of storage, and not all crammed together. Curtains effective at blocking light. Good powerful shower. Check in was efficient, and all the staff were lovely, happy. They also have an extensive food menu and the food was lovely. All home cooked so you will wait for it! I appreciated all the efforts taken to ensure a comfortable stay.

Proper size kettle, but i would have preferred mugs to be available especially in this heat.

The Olde Windmill is a stunning oldie worldy pub, so many things to wonder their history. The food was excellent for all six days we were there. Varied menu and the lady went out of her way to get me some plain fish when I felt poory. The maids kept the rooms well stocked with beautiful soft towels, teas, coffees and very efficient cleaning. Bar staff and all employees friendly, helpful and happy. Well done Olde Windmill, 5* we will definately be back

Just one point. Although clean the carpet was terribly stained. This could give customers the wrong idea of the first impression of an excellent hotel.
