Lovely traditional feel to this hotel. The staff were all exceptional. Very friendly and always happy to help. A nice, honest, family run hotel. The breakfast was cooked fresh and used quality local produce and was the perfect start to the day.

The room was very clean, nothing fancy, and the mattress was a little hard for our personal taste, and had a bit of roll together going on. However, it was fine for what we needed. The free parking was also very helpful.

The room was really nice, the bathroom very clean with a brilliant shower. I stayed in no 17. The cooked breakfast was really good with what tasted like proper local sausages. 5* for the breakfast. The staff were really friendly and went the extra mile for me as I am on crutches after a knee replacement. Even changing my room as it was easier for me to get to. Would definitely stay here again.

There was nothing to dislike.

We stayed for my bfs birthday. Staff really nice, especially David on the bar. Very helpful. We will definitely come back again. We paid extra for breakfast (£19 for us both) and was lovely. Full English with toast and pots of tea.

Nothing except, as its on the High Street was a bit noisy with traffic at times and someone was singing outside at 4am 😂 but the place itself was value for money.

The staff make this hotel! Yes, there was the lovely, historic building and perfect location, but those mean nothing without the right people. Leo & co went out of their way to accommodate our sometimes last-minute requests as part of a wedding party, and we couldn't be more grateful.

The shower needed a bit of patience but worked fine after some detective work!

Nothing it was better than we expected for the price

An amazing old family run coaching house in the centre of the town - steeped in history. The staff here were incredibly helpful and friendly. The twin room we stayed in was a little small but had everything you needed for a 1 night stay. Breakfast was fantastic - good produce and freshly cooked. Set us up for the day.

The location is great, loved the building itself, great room layout and praise to housekeeping who refreshed our room while we were out. Also, excellent breakfast!

Both the beds and the floor were really creaky which made using the bathroom at night very awkward However, the beds were comfortable!

Excellant breakfast, everything asked for was supplied, without question. Great staff, very friendly, making us all, feel at home. Love the character of the building, with a lovely atmosphere.

Very difficult to find anything needed to improve on anything.

Location and comfort. The bed in our room had an amazing mattress - slept beautifully after getting back late from a concert at Sandringham. The full English breakfast the next morning was cooked to my taste and was delicious!

A lovely historic hotel located in the middle of town. Staff were very friendly and more than happy to help with things. The room was very comfortable and had everything you need for an enjoyable stay. The bar downstairs was welcoming and very cosy with two fires going. A great place to stay in Downham Market.
