The staff were open, friendly & professional. I didn't have breakfast but the one inhouse meal I did have, on the evening of the 6th Oct, was excellent. My room was lovely & clean & I felt safe. The service, ambience & food were very good. I also had the pleasure of meeting Catkin Parker (the owner) during my meal. Checking in & out was straightforward & there was sufficient parking however this could be an issue at busier times/summer.

There were two issues that I identified & wish to pass on, these being: 1, My room was on ground level as it was one of the Coach House rooms. The view out the window was not the prettiest however I like to be able to open the curtain/blind to have natural light. This I was not able to do as people walking past could see inside thus reducing my privacy - perhaps some adhesive privacy frosting could be applied to the glass to improve this. 2, Some pipes by the radiator (ensuite) were visible as well as some electrical wires under the sink which I think from a safety point of view as well as aesthetic perhaps could be boxed in.

We were staying at the Beddingfield Arms while in the area for our twin grandson's christening. The staff were very friendly and attentive with nothing being too much trouble. When we had a problem with heating in our courtyard room, we were quickly moved to another room in the main building, which was beautifully cosy and warm. The food and service in the restaurant was excellent, and we can definitely recommend the venison. Breakfast was also first class. We look forward to returning when next in the area.

There was no mirror on the dressing table where you plugged in the hairdrier. Everything else was perfect.

The food was amazing , the venison dish was delicious and the butternut soup was lovely just perfect . Breakfast was top notch too . The staff are very welcoming and friendly and could not do enough for you . The location was peaceful and picturesque however maybe some evening entertainment would be welcomed to end the night.

Not much to dislike the location was lovely however if you wanted to have a evening where you wanted to do something else there was not much on offer sadly. However the Beddingfield is beautiful the decor etc and the cleanliness of the rooms are 10/10 . The bed was comfortable and it was quiet, so no disturbances , kettle , tea and coffee and biscuits provided nice touch .

What an amazing place to stay and so dog friendly - will be recommending this place to our friends with dogs and we will certainly be booking another stay. We spent a lovely afternoon in the beer garden and sampled the delicious sunday lunch menu as well as the craft beers on offer. Check in was quick and easy once I found where to go and the coach house accommodation was perfect for us and our two dogs. There is a secure field opposite the Hotel where we walked them and a lovely church and also National Trust place just round the corner. Lots to explore! Breakfast is £15pp and you pre order, but it is well worth it. Juice/hot drink included in the price and the breakfast options are great. Came out very quickly once we sat down and we also chose the time we dined. Our room was spacious and clean and fit our dog crate well. The bed was extremely comfy and we had plenty of tea/coffee to keep us going.

Clearer instructions on where to check in would be helpful as I had to go through the restaurant and pester the bar staff - who were extremely helpful and showed me to the room, but I felt in the way and wished I had known to enter via the left of the building I am sure there was WiFi available but this wasn't well advertised/no password etc given in the room. We had good signal there but would be helpful in future

Bedroom and bathroom (we had the suite) were very satisfactory with double aspect windows allowing a through breeze in what was very hot weather. We ate in house both nights and the dinners were very enjoyable. Breakfasts were ok. The hotel is located in a lovely very quiet village and all the staff were very attentive and up for a laugh. We really enjoyed ourselves and hope to return in the future.

Can never understand why many hotel chains can fit a cheap mini fridges in rooms yet small private Hotels rarely do, they are so convenient for many things you travel with, even if it is only for your bottled water.

We liked our room, although deliveries at about 5a.m. were a little disturbing. The bed was comfortable and the resources in the room fine. The shower was very efficient, although some black marks could be dealt with. Our welcome was great. The first evening the service and the meal was excellent. There was a very pleasant ambience. Sadly, it was not the same on the second evening. We had a 35 minute wait to have our order taken in the restaurant and it was another 20 minutes before my partner's starter of paté arrived. Other diners were also waiting patiently. A couple who came in well after us were on their starters before our order had been taken! We were told there was a new chef, but I'm sure it was the same chef as the previous evening. Luckily, breakfast both days was lovely and served with a smile.

The room was very large, with a big separate bathroom including a bath and walk in shower. The room itself was more than adequate for our stay, although it lacked a chest of draws for t-shirts, undies etc, something that could perhaps be addressed. The bed was comfortable and huge. It was great to have a large bath in which to soak away the rigours of the day, far too many other B & B's have such small baths that one can barely squeeze into. We ate at the accommodation on each of the days we stayed, and we both agreed that the food was very good. Breakfast was most welcome, from the Full English we tried to the Eggs's Royale which included some of the best Poached Eggs I've had anywhere!. Main evening meals were all very good, from haddock & Chips to Rhubarb Crumble were all good portions without being too much. I tried the mussels in Thai Red Curry and Coconut Broth, which was superb, just spicy enough, but fresh too. We could not find any fault with the food at all. Good selection of beers, wines etc on offer. The staff were all very accommodating and friendly and looked after us well. On talking to the new manager, it would seem that a new fresh look to the establishment is under way with a fairly new young team from Kitchen to Front of house. From what we experienced, it's going to be good.

Cleanliness of the room was OK, but a little tired in some aspects. There were a few spill stains on the carpet, which could benefit from a clean or perhaps a new carpet altogether. The bathroom again, was clean, but some areas needed a little rectifying, such as replacing silicone sealent in places. Having said that, these didn't detract from the plus side of the stay for us and are something I'm sure that the new manger will be tackling as and when able.

Breakfast was great, food nicely cooked and served fresh and hot. Dinner was very good although ordering late on arrival on a Sunday (last orders 5:45pm not mentioned on B,com) some items understandably were not available. All staff were great from booking in with Kyle? to service staff all friendly and doggy focused on our OES Charlie. Our dog room was fine if not a little small for us, bed was very comfortable and the shower was nice, Could do with some shelves to put your bathroom items on, although there is a small table very near the loo! The ambiance was good and most guests were friendly. Ideal for walking, loads of paths and flat. Not a great lot of things to do locally but to just chill and the occasional walk would be ideal. Unfortunately did not take any photos.

I thought the room rate per night was a little high and although breakfast was good £15 pp again on the high side. But this should not detract from a very nice pub/hotel. Could offer a B&B rate.

We had a lovely stay at the Bedingfeld Arms in Wissington. The atmosphere was welcoming from the moment we arrived – full of charm and character, yet still cosy and relaxed. The room was comfortable, clean, and tastefully decorated, with thoughtful touches that made it feel special. We really appreciated the peaceful setting – perfect for a quiet getaway. The food was a highlight. Dinner was delicious and clearly prepared with care, and breakfast the next morning was just as good – fresh, generous, and satisfying. The staff were friendly and attentive without being overbearing, and their local knowledge really added to the experience. Overall, a really enjoyable stay in a lovely spot. We’d definitely return.

We stayed for dinner on the Saturday evening which was wonderful, lovely, fresh ingredients and well presented. Our dog was welcomed - he's quite a large dog and the young chap behind the bar was very accommodating. The breakfast on the Sunday morning was delicious and again the staff were very welcoming an accommodating - even bringing a nice fat sausage for our dog! The room was very presentable and clean and the heating was on which was a very nice welcome as we walked in through the door. The bathroom was clean and quite large, there was tea, and coffee making facilities and a tv. All in all a very enjoyable stay and we would definitely stay again. A big thank you goes to the young chap who served behind the bar (I think it was his family business) he was so friendly and chatty, and very good at making cocktails!
