The staff were friendly and professional, the food served in the restaurant was exceptional and my room was tastefully decorated.

It was very warm on the date of my stay and there appeared to be an air conditioning controller on the wall adjacent to the bathroom. I couldn't determine how to reduce the temperature of the air con, so I called reception for assistance. They kindly advised that the controller wasn't for air con, but for underfloor heating and that the best way to cook the room was to open the windows. I opened both windows as suggested, but was concerned about security where my room was a ground floor room. It would have been great to have a fan in the room instead because that would have concurrently solved the issues of temperature and security.

Such a delightful hotel it's hard to know what to mention first! The staff team were I think the best I've ever come across - genuinely friendly and efficient. Not only did they do their own jobs to a high standard but filled in for others as needed to ensure great customer service, and they really felt like a team who enjoyed working together. Food was top notch and good value, both in the evenings and at breakfast (including a delicious fruit salad produced on request althought it wasn't even on the menu). Decor was smart, modern and calm. Spotlessly clean everywhere.

Location is perhaps a bit isolated for some (including me, I'd normally choose somewhere in an interesting town) but that meant it was a good touring base as you didn't have to struggle through traffic, or find somewhere to park.

The location was easy to find/get to, and fine for the particular purpose of our visit. The room (executive, motel type as hotel, itself, appears to have limited availability) was warm, pleasant and comfortable. The breakfast was well varied and really nice. We ate one evening meal which was excellent and the drinks prices quite good, for a hotel. We used the gym which had everything that we wanted to use, and was clean and airy. The staff were really friendly and helpful - same people, pretty much, as on a previous visit, and it is evident that it is more than "just a job" to all of them . . . cleaning staff, included.

Can't really think of anything, short of giving free drinks away, haha. The algorithm is encouraging me to write more but there really was no issue that I/we didn't like.

The staff was absolutely lovely. When I booked this stay, looking at the Google Map, it appeared everything would be in walking distance. It is set in an absolutely beautiful village. However, we did have to obtain a rental car to get to our event and to visit with our son. I can't say one negative thing about the facility. The people were so gracious. Would love to come back when we visit again.

The pricing of food at the Moorings restaurant was a little out of our budget. They have a monopoly on food as the only place we found close to get meals was Ali Kebabs.

Hotel is lovely, with super looking bar & restaurant (tho sadly we didn't have time to use, as out locally for dinner with friends). Rooms are a decent size, with good furniture, comfortable double beds (ours was a standard double, not a king), ample pillows, great shower & shower room.Our dog was made to feel welcome, with a dog bowl, sleeping pad and chew! Huge car park, with dog bin & poop bag dispenser.

The only thing missing from the room were water glasses and tissues. A fan was provided.

The Hotel was very clean, as was the very spacious room. A great shower too. The food was excellent. The best cooked piece of Gammon I have had in a long time. It should however come with a choice of an egg or pineapple as standard. I had to ask for an egg to go with it. The breakfast was good. The staff were very good. Very welcoming and extremely helpful.

The location was slightly out in the sticks so would recommend a car ideally.

Stayed one night as a solo traveller as I was working in the area. I was allocated a family room with a double bed and bunk beds. Room was fine for me but wasn’t the biggest so might be a little tight for a family of 4. Bed and bedding were VERY comfortable. Bathroom small but corner shower was very good. Breakfast was nice but a little expensive if you don’t book it via your original booking (you pay for everything separately including drinks). Overall a decent stay

The flooring in the room was like a laminate and was very slippy

The staff were superb, the food was incredible. A little pricy, but it was quality. The afternoon tea is a real treat and as good as I've ever had including the Ritz. I believe they have a dedicated pastry chef, and it shows. Served between 3 and 4 on Saturday, they should maybe extend this, and booking is required.

Everything was perfect, the only gripe was the heat in the room. It had new digital thermostatic controls, they did not do as advertised, the room was set to 18c , it was 27 when we went to bed, and 25 in the morning. The fan just blew the warm air around.

The staff were so friendly and happy. It was so lovely. A very warm welcome. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The food in the restaurant was amazing. The best steak l have ever had. Although a little expensive, it was worth every penny. Breakfast was cooked fresh and not buffet which was also very good

I think we needed a bigger bed. We will book a king-size room next time. Otherwise, a fabulous place to stay

Claire and the rest of her team made you feel welcome right from the outset, nothing was too much bother for them. Our room was really peaceful and comfortable. Being in a block of only four rooms is a great idea. We heard the owl at night and the wood pigeon in the morning. The food is excellent, especially the breakfasts as everything was piping hot, something that is never the case at a buffet.

This isn’t the hotel’s fault but there aren’t many other eateries close by.
