nice size room, quick filling bath, tea/coffe making stuff, good clean towels, balcony, so outside space with view over golfcourse, (although i had a huge tree blocking most of my view on 2nd floor, ask for a higher level floor ) .. but nice to sit out in the sunshine , there was 1 chair on the balcony ..most of the food was pretty good, the onion rings were wonderful, breakfast was buffet style Bank Holiday monday ,table service on tuesday .. plenty of choice for cold.. fruit, meats,cheese etc and lots of options for hot food, pet peeve cold plates for self service hot breakfast ! .. huge bed, 2 large singles pushed together.. yep the bump in the mddle , .. 2 comfy chairs and a table in the room, as well as a desk style chair, staff always friendly and helpful extra tea/milk etc never a problem . very quite area so a peaceful nights sleep . very close to the motorway, excellent value for the deluxe room

outside it looks negelected and rough .. my heart sank when i saw it ! .. i had booked dinner bed and breakfast . 2 nights sunday and bank holiday monday ...but the restuarant doesnt open sunday evening ! they claimed they tried to phone to explain this ?? on arrival I was given £20 refund and walked to the hungry hourse down the street . ( the £20 dinner allowance will cover some of the main courses in the hotel restuarant , but not a starter and main or dessert ) the lighting in the room was just 2 wall lamps near the tv, and 2 small angle lights by the bed, ok in the summer but would be dark in the winter ..

The Staff were lovely and so helpful. The Room was a bit worn in places but nice and clean and the bed was so comfy. We had a balcony, although small, looked out over the golf course. Lots of choice at breakfast and everything was really tasty...the sausages were awsome! We were a big party for a family reunion and the staff, particularly one, went out of her way to accommodate and assist us. Cannot fault any of the staff, including the night porter.

The hotel looks worn from the outside...not our usual choice if looks were an issue. With some money spent it would be more inviting. The outside could do with a bit of a makeover.

Super friendly staff. Brutalist architecture overlooking a lovely golf course with mature trees and greenery as far as the eye can see. The interior has a mid century modern vibe to it. Aesthetically it is to my taste. Beds are very comfortable and the rooms are a very good size with plenty of space. I have stayed here on 3 occasions whilst visiting a terminally ill relative in the area and the Humber Royal has provided a place of respite with peace and quiet l, away from the activity at the house. I have stayed in a room with balcony, a standard room and on the first visit, due to limited availability, an accessible room. All three have been great. I have had breakfast once and dinner once. The food is tasty enough and ok value.

There is no hiding the fact that Grimsby itself is in need of some economic development. But if you have a need to be in the area, the Humber is a great place to stay. There are a few signs of tiredness in the internal decor but nothing major. Just a little wear and tear in the common areas.

Our room had a balcony overlooking the golf course. Ideal to sit out and enjoy the view. The staff were lovely and friendly. The room was clean and spacious. We didn’t have a breakfast so can’t comment.

On arriving a small part of the hotel on the front looked shabby and needed to be updated. It may put guests off in wanting to stay, but the decor inside is lovely. A comfortable and welcoming seating area in the bar and restaurant. I pointed this out to the staff and I believe the work is in the pipeline to remedy the front part of the hotel. My husband and I have stayed ma couple of times when visiting relatives.

Rooms were clean and comfortable. Staff helpful and friendly. Breakfast very good. Appreciated the lift!

Can I just start by asking why booking.com keeps referring to my booking as a couple, despite the fact that I booked for myself - ie. one person? From the outside the building looks as though it could do with a facelift. Lighting in room was quite dim, even in areas with mirrors. It would be better to have a bright central ceiling light. Some coasters for hot drinks would be useful, otherwise you have to put hot drinks on the wooden tables.

Lovely big bedroom with en suite. Very comfortable bed and chairs to work at the desk or table.

Went down to have dinner, where the restaurant had just a few people dining. Unfortunately there was a function going on, and the noise of the music was blaring into where we were eating. I had the simple vegetable soup of which just liquidise leftovers, and it came lukewarm, and a half defrosted roll! I got the waitress to take the soup back, and when it came back it wasnt that much hotter! I had the rump steak next which came, and although the steak was hot, the rest wasn't. The mushroom tasted funny, I assume to the seasoning put all over everything, and the three onion rings were tiny, I did complain in the morning to the reception, that being a Saturday night I would have thought they would have had a more enticing soup for choice, like fresh tomato, or sweet pepper and chili!

Don't be put off by the exterior. Once inside the room was large, well decorated and clean. Super comfy bed, lots of tea and coffee, good wifi. The view of the golf course was nice, the balcony an unexpected extra, and the setting quiet and peaceful. Well above expectation and we got a great price with our offers, and would stay here again.

The car park felt a bit rough. Most won't like the look of it on arrival, with no windows and a very 1970s concrete office block look. But that is deceptive to what you actually get and the views.

The outside appearance of hotel could have used a little work . Inside was spotless, bight, modern and comfortable. Rooms very of a very high standard , comfortable bed , great space and exceptionally clean . The staff we encountered were all pleasant , welcoming and exceptionally helpful. The only part that wasn’t great for was the breakfast we ordered toast eggs and mushrooms. We received no butter for the toast , and the eggs had no taste it felt like eating cardboard and we couldn’t finish it . Other than that we would highly recommend Humber royal hotel

Everything was great. The rooms are lovely and kept nice and warm. The staff are so happy and genuine and nothing was too much for them. Polite and welcoming. Breakfast and the food was always amazing and the portions fill you up. Well worth the money. The people around are so lovely too. Everything we needed was walking distance or a bus journey away. If we had a car there was a car park to use.

We didn't have any issues. We loved our stay and we came last year too. The building outside is a bit outdated but inside is absolutely lovely. Don't judge before you've been inside and have been to your room or in the restaurant. I'd say it's the best hotel we've stayed in.

The staff were pleasant, friendly, and VERY helpful. On arrival, I mentioned to the staff member on the desk that I'd need an invoice when I checked out in the morning. He had one printed out, ready for me when I checked out. I left my shirt in the wardrobe. I called the hotel and spoke to Sarah, who went over and above to get the shirt back to me. Even went to the post office in her time off! A smart, clean hotel with lovely views over the golf course (although parts of the outside could use a lick of paint 😉).
