The venue has everything you need and is very well kept. The food offering is very good and the breakfast was probably one of the best you could get. The service they provide is that which you would expect in a 5 star hotel, and for the price paid, way beyond what I expected. This family know how to make you feel at home and give you the utmost attention.

I wish I could have stayed longer and had more time to get to know these people and the lovely area.

On first arriving, it was very comforting and felt very homely. The room I stayed in was also spot on and really clean and the service throughout the time I was there was nothing I could complain about.

The owner of the property (Steve) was very nice. He is a very experienced and knowledgeable man. He gave us BF free of charge and we had a nice chat during our breakfast. He was very sweet he shared all his adventurous stories/family stories with us and he even ate the breakfast with us. He was very accommodating for children.

Arrived late Sunday and asked for dinner and food for the day was finished. But they had put me up a Sunday dinner and it was amazing.

Homely and welcoming

I managed to get the apartment, and for my one night stay, I could not have asked for better, the location was excellent, 3 mins from my site, the food was really good, fish and chips were delicious.

Peaceful rural location. Owner and staff very friendly and accommodating. The room's are separate from the venue and the one I stayed in was like home from home. Rain shower in the en suite was a bonus. I can't comment on the shared bathroom as I didn't need to use it. Restaurant and garden all very nicely designed and set out. Big tv, pool table and darts boards in the bar area. Ideal location if you are away for business on the port.

This is by no means any fault of the venue and totally understandable collateral damage from the pandemic but no breakfast option at present. No doubt will return soon.

Lovely bar area, very friendly staff and customers. Evening meal was basic but great value. The breakfast was probably THE best breakfast I’ve ever had at a hotel.

All in all a great value stay. I was only there one night and the only gripe I could come up with, is the lack of shower gel/soaps in the rooms.

Lovely surroundings

Village Inn with friendly staff, convivial atmosphere, made to feel as welcome as a local in the bar/dining area. Accommodation is in another building either adjacent or across the street from the main inn, which is not an issue for me

only issue was no soap in en suite. not an insurmountable problem as I had my own shower gel

Nothing in particular, perhaps the bedroom TV working considering the room cost .
