What a wonderful little farmhouse. The location was perfect, so quiet and fantastic views from the bedroom window. I loved hearing the chickens and sheep and watching the sun go down. The room was lovely and comfortable with plenty of tea/coffee. There was a telly and a nice big ensuite bathroom with a shower. I didn't have any breakfast, but the host was lovely. She offered me breakfast or to make me lunch to take with me, which was very much appreciated. I took my dog with me, and she even left me a cover for the bed in case the dog jumped on. I only stayed a couple of nights, but was sad to leave and wished I was staying longer. I've all ready tried to book again, but the dates are not available. I would definitely recommend staying here, if you like peace and quiet.

There wasn't anything I didn't like

The lady running the place was friendly and really nice. Couldn’t do more to help. Her English breakfast was fantastic. Parking was secure, which was a bonus when you are on motorbikes.

The location was a pro & con. So peaceful, quiet and beautiful but there is only one taxi firm in the area to take you into and back from town. We were on motorbikes so needed transport. We got lucky and found a great pub to eat in Barton upon Humber. If you are willing to drive in then there are no downsides to the property.

I won't stay anywhere else when I come to visit family. Pam is very welcoming and friendly. Accommodation is comfortable. Breakfast is very filling, with plenty of choice. Use of conservatory and garden means it's more homely. Have recommended that my uncle and aunt stay with Pam when they are visiting.

The winding staircase, but I always pack for a week, coming from Cumbria, I pack for all seasons, so the size of my case makes it a challenge to negotiate the stairs. But that's what makes the place special and different from other places, it gives the place character.

A lovely, friendly greeting from Pam, who welcomed us to her B&B in a peaceful location, where the only 'noises' were birds singing. A warm and cosy room (twin) with comfy beds and facilities. The house is a treasure trove of global artefacts, especially from her many trips to Africa. Really tasty breakfast, freshly cooked by Pam personally. She has everything on offer; full English, continental, kippers, whatever you want, it's no problem. Good, free WiFi and really well positioned for access to Humberside and Lincoln etc. Will be back.

There was nothing to not like.

The B & B was up to its usual very high standards. Pam is very welcoming, ensuring that her guests are well attended to. Breakfast is exceptional, plenty of choice, served with a smile and a cheery word. The guests have full use of the lounge, conservatory, and garden, allowing the guests to mingle if they so desire, giving the place a homely friendly touch. A restful and fairly quiet place to stay.

If I was going to be very critical, the ease of getting luggage up and downstairs due to the quirkiness of the layout. The room I was in also had a step up, out of the room, so needed to remember to duck, to avoid banging head. Also, with not a proper wardrobe, staying for a lengthy stay would make hanging clothes, and putting shoes neatly out of sight, difficult.

Pam, the owner, was very helpful, accommodating and a really lovely, genuine person. The property is located in a very convenient location, close to a main road and surrounding areas. I stayed here for about two months, in that time, nothing was too much and also had my laundry done at no extra cost. Would recommend, only downfall, see next comments.

Although the property met my expectations, thought it was a little bit 'overpriced' for what was provided, compared to other places I have stayed. No complaints about Pam, the owner, she is lovely, the perfect host, going both above and beyond to provide the best service, just a bit disappointing for what was received, but, don't let that sway any opinions !!!

Pam was the perfect host and she made me feel so welcome. I travelled with my Golden Retriever and nothing was too much trouble. Honestly will be going back. Was just a fabulous place to stay. Breakfast kept me going through till dinner!!!! Local pubs and reastaurants were very friendly and dog friendly too which was really great for me and dinner was never a problem.

Nothing! Bedroom was super, very clean, well stocked with teas and coffee..as well as the biscuits Pam would put in! Just a really lovely home from home. Thank you Pam!

It was the most quaint B & B that I have stayed in. It was oldie worldly, the type that foreign visitors think that old accommodation is like here. The decor made it feel you really were in someone's home. Breakfast is served on a large dinning room table covered in table cloths. No separate tables for the guests or sitting on your own. You all have your food together and you find that everyone converse and share experiences and by the end of the meal, everyone parts a little bit wiser and definitely as friends. As they say great food and great company.

Pam is an excellent hostess, nothing was too much trouble. She made you feel very much at home. She takes pride in her B&B, and treats her guests like friends. The idea of all the guests breakfasting around a large table, made it so much more sociable, and the breakfast couldn't be faulted, you'd never leave hungry! The room was spotless, and though our stay was only two nights, the room was freshened by Pam on the second day. I would recommend a stay to anybody looking for the more personal and friendly touch to their accommodation. West Wold is very dog friendly, which to all of us dog owners is a big added bonus. We have family in the area, and will not hesitate to book West Wold again, when we next visit. Thank you Pam.

If I had one thing to say, it would be that because of the way the B&B is, though it makes it quirky, getting suitcases easily up and down the stairs is a challenge.

Great Location in a lovely rural setting. Only a very short distance to the nearest Town. Good car parking facilities. Great Breakfast with plenty of choice to eat and drink. Lovely room, with all the facilities you require, plus really soft towels & bathroom toiletries. And to top it all our host was lovely, informative and welcoming. Our stay was everything we needed. Thank you.
