Breakfast was super - plenty of cereal, juice, toast etc and the option of a hot breakfast to follow. Evening meals where also good, and always served hot. Location was great as we were there visiting my mother in hosptial, which was in walking distance. There was also the advantage of having Tesco and a small number of resturants directly across the road. This was a difficult time with Mum being in hospital and the staff were always helpful and took an interest in our situation and the health of Mum. Apartment was a good size, beds where comfortable with clean linen. Apartment had everything we needed.

I stayed for 1 night in room 8 on the ground floor to visit my Mum in Anlaby. A comfortable bed and a huge room with a fabulous bathroom. I really liked the bar/grill and was amazed at how cheap the prices were compared to Manchester prices. The cooked breakfast was very welcome when a lot of other places try to feed you with avocado nonsense or don't provide a breakfast at all. I was surprised at how quiet it was for such a central location. I chose this hotel because of its proximity to the Tesco Extra across the road. I'm not averse to parking fees and thought £7.20 for 24 hours is a good deal in a car park monitored by CCTV. The staff were very helpful and friendly which, as a Hull boy myself, I would expect. I live in a very busy area of Manchester with a wide variety of assaults, shootings and murders so I couldn't get used to how quiet this hotel seems to be. I didn't hear any police or ambulance sirens all night which would have got me off to sleep more easily. I didn't like that this hotel was pretty much perfect leaving me with nothing to complain about other than the above.

Room was big, light and airy. The decor throughout the whole of the hotel was completed to a high standard. The room itself had a comfy bed, extra pillows, good size TV and had a great shower which was powerful, tea and coffee, with extra in reception and good air con. Breakfast was 10/10. A good full selection of everything from pastries, cereal, fruit, yogurt and cooked breakfast. Also a wide selection of drinks were avaliable. Staff were always friendly, helpful and polite. Will definitely recommend and WILL be staying in the near future. Well done to the team!!

We had an amazing experience at this hotel! The building is full of history, which we absolutely love. Our room was impressive with its spaciousness, incredible high ceilings, and four large windows, creating a bright and airy atmosphere. A special thank you to the staff for their politeness and thoughtfulness: they made sure the room was warm upon our arrival, which was especially appreciated given the cold weather. This small but meaningful gesture really stood out to us. The breakfast was lovely, and the hotel's quiet location ensured a peaceful and relaxing stay. Overall impression: everything was perfect, and we highly recommend it!

This is a lovely historical building in a great location in the heart of the city centre with shops on your doorstep. The room is a good size with a nice ensuite bathroom. It was warm, quiet and comfortable. The breakfast offer is lovely and there is a nice bar area with a pool table and darts board etc for comfort.

When I originally booked I thought the parking was free but in the small print it said that there was a fee and I found it was very expensive to park at. I had to park off site in a public car park. My curtains had a few rings hanging off and although someone tried to help, they weren't fixed during my stay so the light flooded in. The wifi wasn't very good for working in my room and it was impossible to videocall but at least it was free.

Good location with parking on site. Room size was good, with all necessary facilities, including air conditioning that worked brilliantly. Bed & pillows comfortable. Reception & room smelled nice although there was a slightly strange smell in corridors to rooms. Breakfast was good - large variety of hot & cold on offer including cereal bars & fresh fruit pots.

Only one little problem during my stay was my shower was partially blocked & almost flooded after just a couple of minutes of use.

I can't remember her name unfortunately but the manager who checked us in and was running the bistro in the morning was very friendly and helpful even though she was clearly wearing many hats. The rooms are amazing for the price of the stay, very spacious with a lovely bed and comfortable pillows. Also the TV in the room was suprisingly on the larger side as well which was a nice touch. The hotel is located straight across from the shopping mall and train station so getting to and from the hotel is a comfortable short walk.

Visited for a wedding reception. 3 rooms booked. Not too fancy a place but clean, and comfortable and the staff were absolutely lovely. One of our party is disabled and they made sure we had everything we needed. Comfy beds - a very good night's sleep. The pillows were lovely and everything super fresh feeling. Good breakfast!

Soundproof not too good. An old building so seemed a bit creaky. Once I got to sleep I was OK , but if you're a light sleeper it might be harder. The noise woke me early than I'd have liked in the morning.

Location is great, close to shops, restaurants and pubs. The room was the biggest we have stayed in. The bed was super kingsize and super comfy. The breakfast was included, there is a very wide choice of pastries, yogurts and fruit, and cooked breakfast was made to order. It was delicious. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our first night that much we booked for a second. Will definitely be booking again. You definitely get your moneys worth at this hotel.

Before arrival the Hotel sent a comprehensive email about arrival procedures etc. It’s recommended that if you can’t find parking on site, you can park in the car park across the road, which I decided to do. This was easy to do a pay-by-phone method On arrival at the hotel, the receptionist quickly and efficiently gave me my key and directed me to my room. I had a single ground-floor room overlooking the car park at the side. The Hotel is quiet, along with the area itself. If you walk about five minutes north, as I did one night to get some takeaway food, it’s quite a busy road with takeaways and a few homeless people and you may feel a little uneasy with people regularly asking you for money. In terms of the room itself, it was very spacious. There is a wardrobe on the right as you walk in with the shower room on the last. Further on is a single bed with a large desk under the window. The room was spotlessly clean and bright. The sash window opened wide so letting in a lot of fresh air, There was also air-conditioning. The bed and pillow was comfortable, if a little soft for my liking, but we are all different. Tea and coffee were provided, but unfortunately, I wasn’t given any milk. However, I didn’t ask for any, as I’m sure this would have been provided. Wifi was fast and reliable. I had a hot breakfast to order one morning, which was hot and delicious. There was also a large choice of cereal, toast, yogurt, fruit, juice, and hot drinks. The waitress was friendly and efficient, and I didn’t at any point feel rushed. The hotel is great value and in a good location for the city centre, and I’d recommend this for a great value stay.
