Everything very satisfactory as usual in terms of room, service, breakfast and facilities.

Check-out process was poor. No receipt emailed to me as promised and, almost 24 hours after checkout, the sum blocked from my account on check-in has still not been released. This is unusual for this hotel but not good enough nevertheless.

Having previously stayed at the hotel we have chosen to rebook it for our latest stay. The property is modern clean and located in a centrally convenient location in town. The staff are always friendly and the rooms are always spotless. The welcome cookie at check in is always a nice little added touch!

A 24 hour car park stay at the hotel is £12 which is not in any way subsidised nor is there any validation system to offer some form of discount. Although I’m not entirely sure if this is something that the hotel managment / staff would have the power to address, it is certainly something that the Hilton / Doubletree group should look in to directly. Having this charge added to room costs in order to offer free parking or alternatively at least some form of discount is certainly something that you would expect a corporate hotel group to offer paying customers.

The staff were great, very friendly and chatty. I can't fault them. The only issue we had was we asked reception to book a taxi for us at 6.45 as we were going to a surprise party. Taxi didn't turn up. It had been incorrectly booked for 7.15. As it was a surprise party we had to be there by 7. Another member of staff soon sorted it. Maybe check the details are correct with the guest to avoid issues. Other than this minor issue, the staff were great. We ate in Marco Piere Whites restaurant and were very disappointed, to say the least. Incredibly tough steak and very cold, I have my steak rare, but I have never been served a cold steak. I also don't mind firm vegetables, but I have never been served raw vegetables. We eat out quite a lot in restaurants, and I would rate this as the second worst steak I have been served.On the whole we did enjoy our stay. The room was exactly what we needed for our stay. Facilities were also very good. Excellent coffee in the bar.

One staff member went over & above totally - Andy ... We left some clothes in our wardrobe and I rung to inform you of this. Andy asked if we were going back for them , but we had already got home so said it would have to be another day as we lived across at Selby . Andy then said he was visiting relatives in the area and he would drop them off for us !! - now that is just amazing service - please nominate him for employee of the week if you have such an award or something similar !!! Thanks again Andy !

Perhaps some local Yorkshire beers on tap ? But everything else fab !

Check in was quick and easy, the room was immaculate and very spacious, there was a beautiful bathroom with a large shower and plenty of towels and the bedroom came stocked with a TV kettle hair dryer iron and ironing board as well as tea coffee and hot chocolate. The gym was open 24 hours which is perfect for us on unusual sleep schedules. The reception is open 24 hours also meaning you can check in at your convenience

The lady who checked us in did write the wrong room number on your card which was a mistake easily resolved and there was no openable windows in the room, this may be industry standard but it's nice to have fresh air in a room that has the heating on high all day before you arrive

About 10 mins walk from Connexin theatre. We found the hotel to be clean and modern. The staff were excellent, attentive snd polite. The room exceeded our expectations and had a wonderful modern bathroom with double shower. The restaurant and Lexington bar were both high class and the breakfast was fab. The whole experience was positive and I would definitely stay again when visiting Hull.

We initially missed the entrance to the car park which is tucked away around the corner. They need brr we tree signage at the entrance near the black gates.

Comfortable room, Good breakfast and dinner in steakhouse restaurant. helpful staff.

I object to being asked to pay a £50 damages deposit that would only be refunded after 5 to 7 days. As a 61 year old female staying in the room alone as I was working at the hotel this was not the welcome that I expected. I am happy for the hotel to hold my card details as security but not happy to pay £50 as a potential criminal. No other hotel that I have stayed in has asked me to do this and it would make me think twice about booking this hotel chain in future if this is their policy. The hotel receptionist agreed for me not to pay this but only on the understanding that I could not use room service or add any payment to the room so I accepted this.

It’s exceptionally clean, staff were very helpful when there was a noise issue and helped me move rooms, complimentary cookie was welcomed, rooms very clean and spacious, delightful shower gel, free water and lovely bar area.

The beds were exceptionally hard. Now some people might like that but I’m just not used to it I have a slightly softer mattress. The second moan was the exceptionally loud dance music coming from the roof top bar. I couldn’t sleep. But the reception staff were very accommodating and moved me to the quietest part of the hotel. Thank you to the lady on nights at the reception area who organised that.

As expected when booking for my business trip, this hotel lived up to all of my expectations. very clean, the room was spacious, the bed was super comfy and the staff were always available if required. My room was serviced each day, with fresh towels and cleaned. I would definitely stay here again, and I do visit hull for business often.

No fridge in the room was the only thing I missed. as I stayed for 3 days, I believed it would of had one. I thought it stated it did have one when booking.

Location was great, as easy walk from hull arena where we were attending an event. Did wonder about road noice, as hotel is in a main road, but didn’t notice any. Staff were all professional and very friendly. Good choice of items, cold & hot, for breakfast. Having own secure car park was a bonus

Expected an alternate entrance to the hotel from the car park at the rear of the hotel, rather than walking around the block to the front entrance. It was very wet & windy during my visit. It certainly wouldn’t put me off staying again though!
