Friendly welcome, lovely location, easy to find, free parking, easy check in, ample sized rooms, high quality furniture and fittings. Well stocked tea and coffee selection. Liked to be able to have an evening meal at the pub on site a few steps away from our accommodation.

The bathroom needed the drains investigating, there was a smell coming up from the sink when using, also when we rinsed the bath out ready to fill it, there was a back wash of debris that wasn’t very pleasant, we used the kettle to pour boiled water down the plug whole which cleared it. We commented on this when we checked out.

We were warmly welcomed and checked in The room was spotless and very well equipped and supplied with tea and coffee etc. Parking on site and nearby was plentiful The bonus was no charge for the dog...we have been charged up to £50 for the dog for a night. Breakfast was excellent and hot. It was very quiet and peaceful overnight.

The rooms are across the yard ( not a problem) but access up a steep step and narrow steep stairs a challenge for those with limited mobility. Request a ground floor room! The evening meal whilst tasty was luke warm and the draft from outside when people came in and out a distraction

The room was spotless and very spacious, Room 10. Breakfast was very good on the second morning. Dinner on Friday night was very good.

The menu was about to be changed so several of the evening meal choices were missing, leaving us to make less preferred choices. On the first morning the chef gave a no show so we were restricted to cereals. Available staff were unable to use the kitchen equipment to provide toast even. It wasn't the end of the world as these things happen. Despite these issues the staff came through in terms of service and gave generous concessions that more than covered our disappointments.

The staff were very helpful and could not do enough for us. Our room was spacious and lovely. Thank you Green dragon staff.

Good communication prior to checking in. We requested a twin bed set up, which was done and communicated back to us. We were ableble to check in online prior to arriving, making for a quick check-in in a very busy pub. The staff were very friendly and polite, and due to us needing an early check out in the morning, we were told to either leave the key in the room or place it in mail box near side door of the pub. We had room 2, which was lovely and spacious for us. The beds were clean and very comfortable. Towels provided were clean and shower was lovely and hot. For the price we paid we were very happy with the accommodation and would stay here again

The bathroom could do with some TLC. Grouting on the floor and jacuzzi bath had seen better days The bathroom fan needed cleaning out (lots of dust visible) The following are minor issues, but tea and coffee didn't appear to have been restocked A few more coats hangers to have clothing up

The location and history of the premises is excellent. Good parking, helpful staff and easy check in. The rooms have all you need and are comfy and having a pub with meals on the doorstep is a huge bonus - especially when the food is good!

The pictures of the rooms don't reflect the reality (although comfy and with all you need) they do need some TLC - the sash windows are difficult to close and don't lock , the bathrooms have water stains and cracks so although clean don't look that way, and the menu provided to look at was totally out of date and not available. (The food in the pub was good but if you had chosen from the menu and that was no longer there a disappointment!).

We arrived on the Friday and the staff were lovely, we had a special birthday to celebrate and the staff decorated the table for us. Our server Megan was absolutely wonderful. And the manager whom checked us in and served us both days for breakfast was lovely. Definitely book again.

One member of barstaff wasn't very happy during her shifts. She served us upon arrival and was not happy she dropped a bottle of cider and tried to serve us the empty bottle, she got moody when we asked for another. She was there in the mornings cleaning and was not very friendly. This made us a little uncomfortable. Other than that our stay was amazing

Rooms were very clean . Beds comfortable. Food excellent. Picturesque country village setting. Village green , pond with ducks . Church.

Seemed a bit noisy. Barrels clunking.( pub after all) Also some type of fan going on and off through the night , but was probably heard just because it was hot and we had to have the window open. Simple things need doing to rooms like soap dispenser falling off wall , bottom of bath panel coming away . Could be easily fixed.

Great place for short break - cosy warm room with en-suite and tea/coffee making facilities. Can’t comment on food menu as we didn’t eat there other than breakfast which was excellent and cooked to order. Staff were very polite and friendly. Our second visit here and we would certainly stay again.

The shower in our room would benefit from an upgrade as the flow was poor, but having said that the water was nice and hot and there was the alternative of a bath so a minor gripe really.

The property is situated not too far from the dual carriageway. The pub was great, we ate in the restaurant area, the staff were attentive and there was light entertainment in the evening. We asked for extra beverage facilities for the room, which caused no issue. The food was delicious and a good sized portion which meant value for money. The room was clean, not located over the pub but in a stable conversion adjacent to the car park which meant if you retired early the pub noise does not effect your enjoyment of the room. Accessed by a single flight of stairs, the room is spacious, well laid out, and sympathtically decorated. I liked the lighting behind the headboards, it made a freshing change away from harsh exposed bulb side lights.

The bathroom could have been cleaned better, the bath and floor were dirty. The bathroom looks tired, could do with freshening up and there is/has been an issue with the ceiling at some stage. The toilet cistern trickles and refills constantly so if you are a light sleeper this may effect your sleep. Car park has limited availability and was busy when we arrived.
