The room was very clean. Breakfast was delicious and plenty. We also used the swimming pool and steam room. Easy access to local amenities. Pleasant green surroundings .

The shower screen is only half the size it should be.

Wedding party I booked for were charged for their rooms when it had already been paid by myself on booking.com. This has since been resolved. Another guest was told her luggage was missing- she then had to sleep and also go for breakfast in the same clothes that she wore for the wedding (only to be told when checking out that her luggage had been found in the place she’d left it with staff the previous day when checking in!) Unacceptable! The hotel evening staff on duty at that time were extremely unhelpful and refused to assist in finding her luggage.

The area was very quiet and green

We had to book ln early, due to a funeral At the crematory nearby. Your booking in time is 1500hrs and the funeral was taking place at 1530hrs. When I made the booking I explained the situation and was told not a problem they will leave a note on my booking. When we arrived I arrived I was asked to pay a further £20.00 per room so I paid a further £40.00 to book ln. At the beginning I was so pleased that you understood the situation and was very disappointed on arrival. If you are going to charge to book in early just add it to the booking fee. This is the reason I will not be visiting again .

Very friendly staff. Made the booking around midnight due to an issue at another property that meant we have to find an alternative accommodation for the night and the staff at reception helped us get accommodated quickly and without any hassle. I think we may have also got a complimentary upgrade which was super nice of them!

We were out for the whole day and the room was cleaned and tidied well except the room service tray was left in the room from breakfast and by the time we got back to the hotel it was too late at night to call and ask for it to be removed. Just a small touch to improve on.

Reception team, welcoming, friendly and helpful. Breakfast. A great breakfast buffet and Nikki, the breakfast hostess, ensured everyone felt welcome and had what they needed. Really dog friendly. Dogs are welcome except in the restaurant, so they set a table up for us just outside in the bar. Garden. A nice size garden with picnic tables and plenty of space to kick a ball around with the kids, a dog or both. Parking. Plenty of it. Room. We booked a Junior suite and it was a really good size.

Sadly the hotel does need an update. But it takes more that a shiny new bathroom to make a hotel. The staff here really try hard to make you welcome and ensure you have a pleasant stay.

Helpful staff loaned me an extension cord to allow me to use my discplayer for the alking book I use to facilitate sleep. They also helped in relation to taxi booking and facilitating meals in the restaurant.

I arrived as the evening was darkening, my room was very cold for the first night until I disvcovered the wall switch low down near the radiator blower which was switched off. I felt that this should have been put on by the staff preparing the room it would be helpful to provide an information sheet on things like this including the workings of the shower above the bath so that guests don't have to experiment. Once the heating switch was on the room achieved an acceptable level of heat.

Our room was lovely! The gym was well equipped and the pool was a very nice after a gym session- or would have been. Staff were amazing and so helpful!

The pool was supposed to be child free after I think 7pm- but there were young children still screaming and running around the pool side! I didn't spend as much time in there as I wpuld have because of the children. I timed it so I would be in after they were supposed to have left and I wanted to do some real swimming and work on my technique made really difficult by the children.. I also used to be a life guard so was getting very agitated by the children running on the side and the parent in the pool struggling to stop them as she was heavily pregnant. Not a relaxing swim. The charges for room service were extortionate.

The room was very clean and spacious. The staff were very good , all friendly. The breakfast was good with plenty of choice , replenished as soon as any items were low.

The bar was quite pricey. £6.40 for a pint of mahou ,which I had paid at most 3.5€ all winter in Spain ....quite a difference. I arrived early as I had to drop my wife at hull hospital for an operation (1300), so I asked if I was too early to check , the lady said it's 1500 to check in but I'll see if the room is ready ... Yes it's ready ...£20 ...I declined and waited till the allotted time . I appreciate if they're going out of their way to get the room ready early , but it was already done 🤷. The beds could do with changing , a bit uncomfortable

ALL the staff were extremely friendly and helpful and the bedroom and rest of the hotel were very clean; the two most important things for us.

Although our bathroom was very clean, it was bit dated and ‘tatty’. The food in the restaurant was a little bit pricey. We were a bit disappointed with the swimming pool, sauna & jacuzzi, as despite us visiting at various times, it was always too busy to use ‘properly’, as it is also used by schools and non hotel guests. The changing rooms were particularly bad as there was nowhere private to undress - particularly awkward when changing in front of children!

We stayed here for one night and had a wonderful experience. The staff were warm and welcoming, with a special mention to Linda, who made our stay truly memorable and was adored by our daughter. We booked the family room, which was a good size and equipped with most of the essentials. The only small improvement I’d suggest would be adding a mini-fridge for convenience. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely be coming back. Highly recommended!

Only minor thing is having a small fridge in the family rooms.
