I have stayed at this location before, and it is my first choice when I need to visit Hull. The location is perfect, as it's right next to the Hull interchange and is also accessible via St. Stephen's shopping centre, which is another huge benefit and bonus. Breakfast is included in the price, and a wide selection of hot cooked food is available, along with cereal, fresh fruit, yogurts, pancakes, and more. The staff are all friendly and helpful, so all in all a great hotel in an ideal location with comfortable rooms, friendly staff, and a great price.
Nothing really if i'm being honest.

the room and bathroom was lovely and clean and had everything we needed for the overnight stay. Breakfast the next morning was lovely, all food was fresh and hot.
The parking, on the hotel website it states there is parking. We arrived found the hotel but struggled to find the actual car park and after travelling up and down for half an hour thinking we were just missing the signs with the traffic been busy, my passenger rang the hotel and via an automated response we realised the hotel didn't actually have its own parking it was actually the St Stephens car park and that it cost me another unexpected £8 to park. It might be a good idea to note on the website that it is actually not YOUR carpark and that it is the St Stephens car park and there will be an additional charge for parking.

Great overall atmosphere. Lovely room size very spacious. Decent mattress All leaflets were very handy
My partner didn't like how flat the pillows were but we could have asked for extras but didn't so that's on us. Otherwise everything was spot on. Air con was tricky, it would only stay on for a few minutes then turn off, so it got very warm quite quickly. Breakfast was ok, the scrambled egg had a very acquired taste. My partner found a bit of plastic in his, didn't have much flavour and would say it was like a powdered scrambled egg mix. Sausage was burnt but still edible. Hash brown bland, beans were bland as well.

The Holiday Inn Express brand is, in our opinion, always offers the best value for money of ALL the other budget hotels. Spotless in terms of cleanliness. The staff are always friendly and welcoming. The ‘included in the price’ breakfast is always of a quality that looks great and tastes great. All in all when ever we’re planning a trip, the Holiday Inn Express Brand is always our go-to first. It offers a consistent level of quality, comfort, food and good service from all the staff. We’re getting a premium product at a bargain budget price.

Room was fantastic, bed was super comfy and I slept really well. The services were straight forward and what I expected for an overnight stay. Everything I needed in order to travel light was supplied (hair dryer, towels and soaps etc), and free wifi was offered as well (I didn't use this, but good to know it was available if needed).
The entrance is a bit strange, as you walk into the building and nothing is there; you have to get in the lift to the 1st floor before you are in the hotel. However, the lift is secure for all hotel rooms, as you can't get to any other floor without a room key, so this helps ensure you feel secure.

On arrival was greater by a very pleasant man behind the counter. Checking was smooth and with no issues. Had an accessible room. Room was clean and had everything we could need. Liked the later checkout as we could have breakfast and leisurely pack afterwords. I really like the checkout time sometimes it's straight after breakfast and you have to do a mad rush around.
There was a terrible smell on the 3 Rd floor which I was quite concerned about, that concern was not needed though as it did not smell in the room. So a mad dash to the room was done a couple of times that evening. By the morning it had completely gone. So they must have had an issue and then solved it. I was a bit disappointed with the breakfast. There was everything you could want. The hot food was just a bit lacking. The fry up breakfast was not fried at all. It was all oven baked and was very dry. So was very cardboard like. So if we ever chose to come again I would pick a different eating choice. All in all I would stay again if I ever booked in the town centre again.

The hotel is located right next to the train station and a big shopping centre, making it a good starting point for discovering Hull. Staff were all super nice and allowed me to check-in a bit early, which I appreciated very much. The room/bathroom were spacious and very clean. The bed was comfortable and wi-fi worked very well. There was a good selection of hot and cold produce during breakfast. I would gladly stay here again for the price I paid.
The carpet in the room looked a bit tired.

The staff were extremely good, Jamie was a credit and helped us change our room, as a disabled customer our first room was not suitable for our needs, so he sorted out a move for us to a larger room. All the staff were exceptionally caring, polite, and helpful. Will certainly use you again
The swivel chair in the disabled room made it hard for my husband to dress as it moved when he was dressing. A small armchair would have been more convenient

I was impressed by the attention to detail that you don't always get in more expensive hotels. Absolutely everything worked - keys, lights, electrics, you name it. All very clean, fully stocked and easy to use. Breakfast was also better than I expected, with a wide range of well-presented offerings. Also an ideal location for me, being very near the train station.
Just two slight niggles. The duvet seemed very hot (but better than not warm enough, I suppose). And while the room seemed generally well insulated, there was a noticeable repeated tick coming from somewhere in the evening, as if is a radiator was warming up. I didn't have the aircon on so couldn't work out where it was coming from, but it didn't keep me awake for long and had gone by the morning.

This hotel has to get 10/10 because of the amazing staff. From the receptionist who communicated brilliantly before we arrived, gave us a lovely warm welcome and did so much to facilitate us to the cleaning staff who have this place spotless, and the lady clearing up at breakfast who was busy but still found time to chat and have a laugh with the kids. I was travelling with two young children and the room was ready on our arrival with the very comfortable sofa bed already made up. Breakfast was a feast and the location was perfect for us going to an event at Connexion Live just a few minutes walk away. It is also right beside the railway station and a shopping centre which has a trampoline centre, climbing wall centre, minigolf, bowling alley, cinema. The value we got here was incredible & I wholeheartedly recommend it to families travelling to Hull. Also is 15 minutes walk from fantastic world class aquarium.
Nothing. We were made very welcome & were very comfortable.
