Very speedy check in, just signed a form, added car reg No then given key. Hotel easy to find and although it was just by a main road it was quite quiet. Uckfield only a few mins drive away. Room could do with painting again and the carpet was a little dirty. The room was large and airy with everything I needed. Very good power in the shower. Had a good quiet nights sleep. check out by 11 am which was fine for me.

Choice, quality and cost. You could have as little or as much as you wanted. We were late risers so 10am was perfectly fine. The food was amazing and reasonably priced. Would highly recommend more than having just a breakfast.

Easy check in although despite paying in full prior to arrival. I was still asked to pay again. Luckily had the payment email from booking.

Bed felt old and soft. Clean and tidy though.

A comfortable clean room. Set up some stairs. Thank god for the Blacksmith arms pub across the road, which did sell breakfast.

Apart from a friendly greeting at the reception. No one else about. The pub itself closed at 20-30pm. No breakfast available. Even though a menu in the room says join us for breakfast?. Pub did not open until 11am.

To be honest we did not use the room for a great length of time as we were attending a wedding at nearby Crockstead fields. However, this was an alternative to camping and only a 25 minute walk. The room was clean, bed was comfortable and large bathroom with bath. Tea and coffee making facilities were appreciated. The adjoining Mexican/Wild West themed bar/restaurant was great and we had an excellent evening meal. Unfortunately, we did not have time to try the breakfast.

We had a problem with the room locks but this was quickly dealt with by the friendly receptionist and handyman and we were offered a free drink while we waited in the bar for it to be sorted. For the price we payed we did not expect the Ritz.

Stayed for two nights and the room was clean and comfortable, put me n mind of motels I've stayed at in the US. Had a meal in the restaurant and it was delicious and good value for money. Staff are friendly and welcoming too.

Unfortunately a bunch of workmen arrived on the second night and were shouting, laughing and drinking until 12;30am. Not ideal when you have to get up at 5am. Not the hotel's fault, but unfortunately no night staff to talk to about it.

right next to a restaurant nice room, not too hot! comfy bed! slept better than I have in the likes of premier inn.

The staff went above and beyond to help us with our stay, especially with a late check-in time we'd confirmed, and then getting a taxi on a busy Monday morning. We're forever grateful.
