The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The room was clean and quaint.

Unfortunately for us, Uber does not operate around this property and even after calling 6 or 7 cab services, kindly provided by the property, we were unable to get a cab to the wedding we were staying in the area for. Therefore, we had no choice but to load up the car again and check-out after approx. 1 hour, drive to the wedding and drive home to London later that evening. However, the staff/owners were very kind and I would like to thank them for not charging us.

Lovely authentic building and typically British in cosy atmosphere. Room was comfy and fine. Loved the bed linen and king size bedspace. Pub downstairs is handy and vibrant. Kitchen is nice. Breakfast choices are great and vegetarians are treated well. Parking is in front of the hotel/pub and is free of use. You could also park in the neighbouring street. Cute small village. And... there is a lovely authentic bakery and coffee house only 2min walking distance. Delightfull. Friendly staff. Sure to come and lodge here again.

We were attending a family funeral so the location was excellent for us. It had a car park at the front. Very friendly and helpful staff. We booked an evening meal and it was excellent and very good value for money. Breakfast was also the same excellent quality. If we are in the area again we would have no hesitation in staying here again.

For what we paid for our one night stay there was nothing we did not like.

We had a lovely one night stay at the George Inn. We visited Oastbrook vineyard for a tour and the Inn was a prefect place to stay and get a taxi to and from the vineyard. Gorgeous large bedroom with great facilities. We had an evening meal and breakfast which were both delicious and enjoyed talking to some of the locals as well as some of the other guests. Great little village and location too.

A beautiful old Georgian building, which serves both as a popular local pub and restaurant with rooms. The staff were really friendly and welcoming. Our bedroom was very large, with beautiful windows overlooking the village centre. The bathroom had a separate shower room and was very compact, but spotless, with excellent towels. The bed was large and comfortable. Breakfast was excellent. The dinner menu is extensive with a specials board. Sadly, the chef was on holiday during our visit, so were not able to experience it at its best, but the burger and chips were excellent. Free parking in front of the building.

The owners have recently taken over the property, so some things are probably on their "to do" list. We would recommend new pillows and maybe a rethink around the tiny bathroom.

Good location , nice village setting , room was a good size . Clean , very soft, draws Good selection at breakfast and it was very good this was included in price of room .Dinner was very good as well .Staff all friendly .so a very nice stay

Would have liked a wardrobe as no storage at all so lived out of our suitcases so not ideal ..Room had mini bar items but not in a fridge thought slightly odd …But didn’t spoil our stay

Everything! We stayed as newlyweds and Alison gave the most amazing customer care and service from start to finish (including waiting til 11:30pm for us to check in and booking taxis last minute!) Our room had all the charm of a country pub B&B with the style, luxury and attention to detail you'd expect from a 5-star boutique hotel. Super comfortable bed that had a surprise bottle of bubbly on it for our arrival, really well-stocked fridge/mini-bar, good coffee machine and sensational veggie and full English breakfasts brought to the room along with the best pastries we've tasted this side of Paris! Absolutely perfect day and we'll be forever grateful to Alison and team for helping to make it so memorable. Mr & Mrs Farrell ;)

I don't like the fact we're not able to give 6 out of 5 stars!

Excellent Breakfast. Well presented with a variety of choices. Good atmosphere with very friendly staff and good to see that a lot of the locals are regular customers. We ate at the George for two evening meals which were also very good.

Great little pub hotel, the room was not huge but really well thought out and everything that you may want was there, great staff so helpful, wonderful evening meal and breakfast was lovely. would stay again when in the area.

Only thing that could be improved would be a larger bed, but no complaints
