Charming inn, keeping its original features whilst blending in a modern feel providing a welcoming environment. The room was fabulous, decorated really well, extremely comfortable with good amenities. The bed was very comfortable and we slept very well. Great shower, lovely toiletries and everything was really clean. Very good choice at breakfast. We also had dinner there the 3 nights we were there, very good menu options and everything was cooked to perfection every time. All the staff were very friendly and accommodating and had excellent service in the restaurant especially from Holly. Overall the general ambiance is very welcoming and comfortable. The location of the Inn is great for exploring the area and visiting various attractions. Lots of National Trust properties to visit too. We would highly recommend staying here and we will definitely return when in the area.

Lovely touches - delicious brownies in the room, decent coffee, nice toiletries. The rooms were characterful and very clean. Friendly and accommodating staff

It was a nice stay - 2 very minor points - we were told that breakfast finished at 10.30 by the evening bar staff but when we arrived for breakfast at 10 we were told by the day staff that breakfast had just finished. However, they were very accommodating and gave us toast and yoghurt and a fruit salad (rather than the breakfast choice) which was delicious. The room bathroom could do with a shower curtain as it was an over bath shower head - the water went all over the bathroom floor.

The staff were welcoming and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble. The room was very comfortable with a massive bed. There were lovely robes and nice toiletries. The breakfasts were amazing as were the evening meals. The Sunday roast was delicious. The property was within easy reach of several National Trust Properties and pretty towns and villages like Rye. Tesco and Waitrose were just a few minutes walk. The brownies in the room were very welcome ..

Some cosy seating in the bar, there was a corner with a sofa and chairs but it was a bit gloomy and not appealing and just two other armchairs which were always occupied. A few games like scrabble for people staying a few days would be nice. These are minor niggles.. it was a great stay.

When we arrived the staff were very welcoming. When booking we'd explained we would be leaving around noon to attend a wedding & that we were happy to leave our cases with our niece who'd booked in the previous evening but when we arrived at 11am our rooms were already prepared. We loved the room decor, the bedding was top class and all the little extras like fresh milk, drinking water & chocolate brownies. Breakfast was a feast! Not sure how many of the 8 of us actually had dishes as set on the menu as we all seemed to personalise them with less of this and more of that. All freshly cooked and served with a smile. Can't rate Queens Inn more highly, would happily return.

Leaving. Breakfast was such a delight Sunday lunch would've been nice but, apart from not being able to eat another thing, we had homes to return to.

Room upgrade, greeting and welcome drink, lovely meal, great breakfast and service.

Room was a little too warm for sleeping and although we reduced the heat before going to dinner we were still quite hot over night which made for quite an unsettled night. It’s just our preference as we would not sleep with heating on at home. It was a nice temperature to sit during the evening. It was set at 21 on our arrival and the towel rail was also heated. This is not a negative reflection on the Inn at all and the lady that showed us to the room did say if we want to adjust the heating it would take a while to reach the new temperature. It was very mild outside too.

From the moment we arrived, the lovely friendly staff made us feel welcome and relaxed with a complimentary coffee in the dining room. Once shown to our room, we enjoyed the character of the large room with wonky floors, beams and sash windows, super comfortable bed, lovely linen, nice complimentary toiletries and soft towels. A nice touch, fresh milk delivered to your room in the morning, a Cafetiere and ground coffee available in your room with complimentary Brownies. We enjoyed cocktails in the bar in the evening and a delicious high quality breakfast. Would definitely return to this hotel when next in the area.

Full breakfast was excellent. Pick your own, not as much, so full is probably better value. The restaurant, well, you don't know what to expect with pub food, but the Lamb Cannon (I think that was what it was named) was flippin' delish. Staff were super too. It was clearly a very well managed establishment and we would not hesitate to stay again if in the area. Well done!

Just the one issue; with the carpet to the toilet being loose on the steps down. Steps were narrow too, so probably not the best room for anyone a bit unsteady. But well maintained in every other aspect.

We stayed here as part of my wife's 50th birthday celebrations. when we arrived we were greeted most courteously and shown to our room. We were informed, quite casually that we had been upgraded. There was a birthday card for my wife when we entered. The room was spacious and luxurious. The bed was very comfortable and the lighting was excellent. The bathroom was very clean well equipped. The tea and coffee making facilities were more than adequate. Breakfast was a delightful affair, an extensive menu with many extras to offer. All the staff were very helpful and polite. All in all a wonderful stay, we will certainly be going back.

Very good range of breakfast options (smoked haddock with perfectly poached eggs, full English, scrambled eggs with smoked salmon, whole kippers, fresh fruit salad), good range of food served in the bar, where highlights included rhubarb and ginger creme brulee, sea trout and a range of pizzas, meat and vegan options. Great Irish coffee too. Excellent location for exploring Bodiam Castle, Sissinghurst and Scotney Castle. Tesco's supermarket is right next door. Off-street parking. Comfortable beds. Tasty brownies in the room.

Located on a busy road through the village and traffic races past. This made it quite noisy from early in the morning to fairly late in the evening. This was a minor issue and wouldn't prevent us from staying here again.

We stayed in room 10, which was clean, comfortable, airy, and nicely decorated. Every member of staff we encountered were friendly and attentive. We stayed 4 nights, choosing to eat in each night. We enjoyed all our meals, as well as our breakfasts. It seemed to us that a lot of effort went into ensuring good quality and consistent food was produced. The Inn seemed popular with locals and there was a generally nice atmosphere.
