Lovely location and a great sea view from my room. Plenty of parking. Spacious and clean room with a comfortable bed. Nice bathroom and shower. All the staff were friendly and helpful.

The only thing letting it down is the dining area and some aspects of the breakfast. There are old, tired furnishings, it's all a bit dowdy looking. The cooked breakfast was good, it was just let down by the poor choice of cereals and no fruit or yogurts offered as stated on the menu. I did ask and was given a very nice fruit salad, but was told the yogurts weren't available.

All of the staff are friendly, welcoming and helpful. I had a good quality evening meal and the breakfast was exceptional. The room was clean and comfortable, great bed, great shower. I had a very good sleep and a great view of the North East coastline thrown in for free! Overall my stay way exceeded my expectations, initially I booked because the location suited my specific visit and the price was very good, within the band I consider budget. What I found was a very enjoyable stay with everything I would expect in a place that I had paid 30% more for so value for money was outstanding.

I genuinely didn't find anything that I did not like. The staff were all so open, friendly and helpful that I'm confident if I had any grumbles they would have been handled quickly, but I can't confirm that as there were none!

This was our penultimate stage of our Northumberland Coastal Path walk and we were very tired when we arrived, having walked 18 miles instead of the estimated 11 miles due to planning error. The staff greeted us with kindness, our bags were already sorted and we were able just to relax. In the morning, the breakfast menu was extensive and the food good and plentiful. Again the staff looked after us well.

All was good. Shelving in the bathroom for vanity cases would have been the icing on the cake.

We’ve stayed here before and it was just as lovely as the last time. Staff are always super friendly and accommodating. Rooms are nice and clean. Food is amazing.

Unfortunately we had booked to come again at the end of the month but I’ve had to cancel the booking due to the mattress giving me a really bad back. I had quite a bad night sleep because the mattress is so springy. I think it’s time they upgrade the mattresses if I’m honest. It’s the only one downside to the whole place 😔

Ver friendly welcome and warm room full assistance offered with bags etc. Great view and parking plentiful. Bottle of water in room something Marriott failed to offer. good wifi

Stair carpet would benefit from a clean but refurb is happening. due to refurb scaffolding spoilt the wonderful view but completely understandable. shower, despite a quality bathroom, was a bit bit feeble however hot and ok just did not match the expectations of the bathroom quality.

Great trad pub with accommodation - very friendly and helpful staff.

I wear contact lenses and it was difficult to put them in because there was no direct light over the bathroom mirror; there was no heater behind it - a quick upgrade would improve vision for everyone who uses the mirror to have, apply makeup and lenses!

Staff are really lovely and helpful. The food is brilliant - recommend the seafood chowder or of course the fish and chips! Great breakfast too. Pub had a nice atmosphere for a couple of evening drinks too. Room was as described - pretty basic but was ok for what we needed. Shower could have been better. Lovely long sandy beach and dunes literally just over the road, perfect for our dog. Great view from our room too. All in all a nice evening and night and deffo would recommend.

Just a little tired in places - but nothing major and more than made up for by great staff, food and pub.

Very friendly and welcoming. Felt right at home. Plenty of parking. Room Very large and has everything you need. The views of the bay were stunning. Food excellent with generous portions. A very warm welcome from the staff who always had time to talk even when they were very busy. Can't praise them enough!

Nothing to dislike!

Nicola was very friendly and welcoming. We had one evening meal and two breakfasts, all of which were excellent. The room was clean, tidy and very comfortable with lots of space. We were travelling with two large dogs. The staff were all friendly and accommodating towards them and on Sunday morning they were even given a sausage for breakfast, which they loved!

Had a sea view, breakfast freshly cooked to order and fish and chips were excellent.

The shower had a poor flow and temperature went from freezing to scolding. Kettle needs to be bigger as mugs were huge so could only fill one cup at a time. Need hooks in the bathroom for towels. Walls quite thin as could hear the neighbours conversations.
